        Comparison of three different surface plank exercises on core muscle activity

        Objective: This study compared the muscle activities of the erector spinae (ES), the external oblique (EO), and the rectus abdominis (RA) on three different surfaces. The purpose of this study was to determine which surface induces the highest muscle activity during the plank exercises. The information from this study can be used to recommend plank exercises to athletes and patients with weak core muscles. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: The subjects include 20 adult males attending S University in Seoul. Participants completed each plank exercise on three different surfaces. To measure muscle activities, researchers used the values from electromyography. The measurement excluded the initial two and final two seconds and collected information on the RA, EO, and ES in each posture of each subject. Results: The left external oblique showed significant differences between the plank position on stable ground (ST) and the plank position using a suspension device (SL) (p<0.05) and between the plank position on the unstable ground (US) and SL (p<0.05). The right rectus abdominis and left rectus abdominis displayed statistically significant differences between the ST and the US (p<0.05) and between the ST and the SL (p<0.05). The right erector spinae had a statistically significant difference between ST and US (p<0.05). Conclusions: The plank exercise strengthens the core muscles effectively, and muscle activity is related to the posture of the exercise and the location of the muscle. These results suggest that plank exercises improve muscle activities. Additionally, plank exercises can be applied to general medical care.

        The Study of Antecedents of Aesthetic Experience in Augmented Reality from Motivation-Opportunity-Ability Model Perspective

        Tourists can be immersed in tourism sites with aesthetic experience provided by Augmented Reality(AR) application. However, AR applications are cutting-edge technology and consequently tourists have to undergo some annoying process in order to use it. Thus, not enough motivation, opportunity and ability of tourists can be barriers to enhancing aesthetic experience. Thus, we adopted Motivation-Opportunity-Ability (MOA) model for assessing the predictors of aesthetic experience. Further, we adopted distrust of technology and social influence as moderating variables into the relationship between MOA and aesthetic experience. The results show that intrinsic motivation and ability have effects on aesthetic experience. Distrust of technology showed that it moderates the relationship between ability (self-efficacy) and aesthetic experience. This study provides theoretical implication of combining MOA and aesthetic experience with uses’ perceived distrust and social influence. In addition, we also present practical implication highlighting the importance of amusing factors and availability in designing and operating a AR application in cultural heritage site.

        노인자살 예방서비스 성과의 의미에 관한 사례연구

        본 연구는 노인자살 예방서비스 실천과정에서 경험하는 성과의 의미를 파악하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 노인자살 예방서비스 제공기관의 기관장, 실무자, 서비스 이용자의 시각에서 나타난 성과를 서비스 제공기관의 측면과 서비스 이용자의 측면, 그리고 다차원적 시각에서 분석하였다. 연구방법은 질적연구의 한 방법으로 사례연구 방법을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 노인자살 예방서비스 제공기관의 기관장과 실무자가 공통적으로 인식하는 성과는 ‘서비스 실천과정에서 구조적인 장애물을 인식하고, 서비스 이용자와 지역사회의 변화를 경험하는 성취’로 나타났으며, 서비스 이용자는 ‘서비스 경험에 따른 내면의 인식변화’로 나타났다. 분석 주체별로 살펴본 성과의 의미와 본질은 첫째, 기관장이 인식하는 성과는 ‘서비스를 통해 기관의 정체성이 재발견되는 과정’으로, 둘째, 실무자가 인식하는 성과는 ‘지역사회와 조직에서 살아남기 위해 몸부림치는 과정 속에서 서비스 이용자들의 변화를 경험하며 지역사회와 조직에서 인정받기’로, 셋째, 서비스 이용자가 인식하는 서비스 경험의 성과는 ‘벼랑 끝에서 생명의 끈 부여잡기’로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로, 노인자살 예방서비스 실천현장의 성과측정을 위한 실천적, 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to identify the meaning of performance experienced in the process of practicing at the elderly suicide prevention center. Therefore, the actual results perceived from the subjective viewpoints of the chiefs, staff and service users from the public institutions, which offer the elderly suicide prevention services were examined. The results classified the service provider s view, service users view and multi-dimensional view. The research method is a case study of qualitative research method. The results of the study found that the analysis commonly perceived from the perspectives of both the chiefs and staff from the public institutions offering elderly suicide prevention service were ‘the perception of structural obstacles during the process of practicing the services and focused on the achievement of experiencing changes in the service users and the community’. On the other hand, the analysis from the perspective of the service users turned out to be ‘focusing on changes in the users’internal perception according to service experiences’. The meaning and essence of the analytical results perceived from each perspective are summarized as follows. First, the analytical results perceived of the chiefs of public institutions offering elderly suicide prevention service were ‘the process in which the identification of the institution is rediscovered through the service’. Second, the analytical results perceived by the staff from the institution were ‘being acknowledged in the community and organization while experiencing changes in the service users in the process of struggling to survive in such community and organization’. Third, the analytical results perceived by the service users were ‘holding on to the lifeline at the edge of a precipice’. Based on the results, political and practical implications of elderly suicide prevention service were discussed.

        RAS 기법을 활용한 서울 스마트관광 모빌리티의 경제적 파급효과 분석

        스마트관광 도시의 핵심 분야 중 하나인, 스마트 모빌리티는 개인형 교통수단인 공유 자전거, 공유 킥보드를 비롯해 공유 자동차 서비스, 스마트교통 인프라 등 ICT 기술을 기반으로 진보된 모든 수단과 서비스를 포함하며, 기존 교통수단의 한계를 극복하고 사람과 물자의 이동을 개선한다. 관광객에게는 관광지 간 이동 시 저렴하고 이용하기 쉬운 교통수단으로 활용될 뿐만 아니라, 관광 경험 그 자체가 되어 여행의 질을 향상시키는 역할도 한다. 이 연구는 스마트 모빌리티의 관광적 측면을 포함한 ‘스마트관광 모빌리티’를 ‘정보통신기술을 기반으로 뛰어난 연결성을 갖추고, 공익성을 가지고 있으며, 스마트관광 도시에서 거주민과 관광객 모두가 교통수단으로 사용함과 동시에 관광 경험 그 자체가 될 수 있는 모빌리티’로 정의하였다. 그리고 관련 산업의 범위를 전문가 델파이 조사를 기반으로 규명하고, 스마트관광도시에서 어떤 경제적 파급효과를 낳는지 파악하고자 했다. 구체적으로, RAS 기법과 입지계수법을 활용하여 산업연관표를 업데이트하고, 스마트관광 모빌리티에 대한 투자 증대가 서울시의 전 산업에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 2022년 한 해 동안 예정된 서울시의 스마트관광 모빌리티에 대한 약 28억 원 규모의 투자로 인해 전 산업에 걸쳐 약 41억 4천만 원 이상의 생산유발효과가 창출될 것으로 추정되었으며, 이로 인해 약 16억 6천만 원의 소득유발효과, 약 36억 1천만 원의 부가가치유발효과, 그리고 약 54명을 위한 일자리가 창출될 것으로 예상되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 스마트관광 모빌리티가 첨단기술과 관광·운송 서비스의 단순한 결합이 아니며, 도시 내·외부의 다양한 산업과 이해관계를 연계하는 생태계적 관점에서 발전해야함을 강조한다. One of the key domains within a smart tourism city, smart mobility, encompasses advanced transportation means and services rooted in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This includes shared bicycles, scooters, car-sharing services, smart transportation infrastructure, and more, aiming to surpass limitations of conventional transport and improve the movement of people and goods. It also serves tourists as an affordable and convenient mode of transport between attractions while also enhancing the overall travel experience. This study has defined 'smart tourism mobility' as a form of mobility grounded in ICT, exhibiting exceptional connectivity, serving public interest, and serving as a mode of transport for both residents and tourists in a smart tourism city. The research aimed to outline the scope of smart tourism mobility-related industries through expert Delphi surveys and estimate their economic effects within a smart tourism city. Specifically, this study updated 2015 input-output table and made 2020 regional input-output table of Seoul adopting RAS method and location quotient method. The results showed that the about 2.8 billion KRW investment of Seoul in smart tourism mobility may create more than 4.1 billion KRW in production inducement effect which is expected to create more than 1.6 billion KRW of income-inducing effect, 3.6 billion KRW of value-added-inducing effect, and 54 employment across all industries in Seoul in 2022.
