Measurement Technique of Ozone Density by Using UV Sensor System
Nguyen Huu Trung,Le Van Men,Nguyen Van Hieu 한국전기전자학회 2015 전기전자학회논문지 Vol.19 No.1
There are many studies and products using a test paper impregnated with chemical solution can react with ozone. The color of a test paper can indicate the concentration of ozone. The purpose of this research is to design and manufacture a system using ultraviolet light source to measure the ozone density. This new technique is based on the characteristic of decomposition from ozone into oxygen under ultraviolet light. We used two sources of ultraviolet light including UV lamp and UVLED to determine the decomposition of ozone. This system is built with the electronic components, sensors and sealed pump tube to measure the ozone density in units of g / cm3,ppm,ppb.Inthispaper,, we present some initial results of measuring the ozone density from ozone generator after completing inspection for safety.

A Study on Image Feedback Control of the Articulated Arm with Four Joints for Unmanned FA
Nguyen Huu Cong,In-Man Park(박인만),Hyun-Suk Sim(심현석) 한국산업융합학회 2014 한국산업융합학회 논문집 Vol.17 No.4
We propose a new approach to design a visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method for unmanned FA. The main focus of this is to illustrate how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a robot manipulator with 4 joints made in samsung electronics company.

Silica nanoparticles were prepared from rice husk ash (RHA-silica) by precipitation method. The characterization of RHA-silica was studied by X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller specific surface area. Results showed that RHA-silica was successfully synthesized with a particle size of 5-15 nm and purity of 98.08%. The obtained RHA-silica was applied with different content for fabrication of tubular ceramic-supported poly(vinyl alcohol) membranes using malic acid as a cross-linking agent (RHA-silica/MA-PVA) by dip-coating and solvent evaporation methods. The tubular ceramic-supported RHA-silica/MA-PVA membranes were used for dehydration of 95 wt% ethanol solution by pervaporation (PV) technology. Results indicated membrane with 15 wt% RHA-silica (15RHA-silica/MA-PVA) was suitable for the dehydration with permeate flux of 0.0856 kg/m2·h, separation factor of 46.6, and pervaporation separation index of 3.9 kg/m2h. The tubular ceramic-supported 15RHA-silica/MA-PVA membrane was characterized using XRD, FTIR, scanning electron microscope, differential scanning calorimetry, and contact angle measurement. Results showed that this membrane was 30 m thick, mechanical stable (swelling rate, 133.9%), hydrophobic (contact angle, 81o), and thermal stable (glass transition temperature, 138.7 oC). Therefore, the tubular ceramic-supported nanocomposite membrane could be considered as a potential alternative for PV dehydration of ethanol.

The prevalence of obesity in Asia is of epidemic proportions, with an estimated 1 billion overweight/obese individuals in the region. The majority of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are overweight/obese, which increases the risk of cardiorenal outcomes in these patients; hence, sustained reductions in body weight and visceral adiposity are important management goals. However, most of the glucose-lowering therapies such as insulin, sulfonylureas, glinides, and thiazolidinediones induce weight gain, which makes the management of overweight/obese T2DM patients challenging. Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors are the only oral glucose-lowering agents that have been shown to reduce body weight and visceral adiposity. In addition, SGLT-2 inhibitors therapy reduces ectopic fat deposition and improves adipose tissue function and weight-related quality of life. In this article, we aim to consolidate the existing literature on the effects of SGLT-2 inhibitors in Asian patients with T2DM and to produce clinical recommendations on their use in overweight or obese patients with T2DM. Recommendations from international and regional guidelines, as well as published data from clinical trials in Asian populations and cardiovascular outcomes trials are reviewed. Based on the available data, SGLT-2 inhibitors represent an evidence-based therapeutic option for the management of overweight/obese patients with T2DM.
