Purpose: To compare the Hong`s grading method, utilized for slit-lamp grading of the mid-peripheral angle, with other conventional grading methods. Actual angle was measured by ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) for comparison. Methods: Fifteen eyes with narrow angles and eighteen eyes with wide angles were studied. The average age of thirty-three subjects was 46.8±19.2, and the male to female ratio was 1:3.7. The mid-peripheral angle was graded by Hong`s, van Herick`s and Spaeth`s grading system. The actual anterior chamber angle was evaluated by UBM and the correlation between each grading system and actual angle was investigated. Results: The results from the Hong`s grading (r=0.802, R2=0.643, p<0.01), Spaeth`s grading (r=0.728, R2=0.530, p<0.01) and van Herick`s grading (r=0.618, R2=0.382, p<0.01) methods correlated significantly with the actual angles. Conclusions: The Hong`s grading method was an easy and effective tool to evaluate anterior chamber angle. In addition, the results of the Hong`s grading method were closer to the actual angle than the other methods.
고속 주축 상태 모니터링용 광파이버 변위 센서 설계 제작 및 성능평가

This paper is focused on practical applicability of the optical fiber sensor considering the machine center which is going to use them. Optical fibers may be fluctuated because the machine center operates as column moving type. This causes distortion of the sensor output signal. To reduce this problem, we have improved the sensor structure and its bracket. And we evaluated performances of the sensor.
원형 Cavity를 이용한 펄스형 Nb:YAG 레이저의 출력특성 및 병렬메쉬 회로의 최적화

본 연구에서는 기존의 타원형 cavity가 아닌 원형 cavity를 설계 및 제작하여 그 동작특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 그 결과 타원형 cavity 보다 다소 적은 레이저 출력 효율 2.1%를 얻었다. 원형 cavity는 타원형 cavity 보다 컴팩트하며 제작하기가 용이하고, 제작 단가가 저렴하다는 장점이 있다. 입력에너지, 입력전압 및 펄스 폭을 동일하게 했을 경우 주회로 병렬 메쉬회로수를 최적화하고자 한다. PFN 회로를 1단에서 8단까지 PSPICE로 모의시험한 전류파형과 실제 실험한 전류파형이 거의 일치하였다. 그 결과 500㎲이상의 펄스 폭에서 6단 메쉬가 최적의 병렬 메쉬라는 결론을 얻었다. In this study, we have deigned and manufactured not only a present elliptic cavity but also a circular cavity, and experimented the operational characteristics. As a result, we obtained the maximum efficiency of 2.1% that was not less than that of an elliptic cavity. A circular cavity is much more compact and is easier to be manufactured than an elliptic cavity. And it can be made at a low cost. When the input energy, input voltage, and pulse width were in the same condition, we tried to decide the optimization of the mesh number of a parallel-mesh circuit which was connected with main power supply. The PSPICE simulation waveform of PFP(Pulse Forming network) circuit ranging from 1-mesh to 8-mesh nearly corresponded with the real current waveform obtained through a practical experiment. From these experimental results, we obtained the result that 6-mesh was the optimal parallel-mesh circuit in case that the pulse width was more than 500㎲.

These days most companies are required to acquire quality assurance systems, such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 18000, and QS 9000 etc. To analyze the effects of QS 9000 Quality System on company quality improvement, empirical data is collected from quality assurance engineers who has on certification activities. QS 9000 is an international standard which defines the basic features of an effective ISO 9000 Quality Management System. It is essential to acquire certification of Quality Assurance System to improve competitive power of the firm. But, most of the domestic firms struggling to acquire those certifications face on the many problems. Results of the study showed that : ⅰ)Most machine manufacturing companies in korea employ some sorts of Quality Management System. Some beneficial effects were produced when the QS 9000 Quality Management System was used. ⅱ) The Big 3 automakers use quality manuals and procedures of QS 9000, but although used, there was still unsolved problems.
깊이 지도를 이용하는 파노라마와 그래픽 영상의 합성을 이용하는 실감 콘텐츠 생성

Recently, the interest in the three-dimensional (3D) images has been increased. Various methods have been attempted to express and produce the contents of 3D images. One of them is the composition of real images and computer graphics images. In this paper, we propose a composition method for a real image that has a depth map acquired from a depth camera as well as computer graphic images. A depth map of the graphic image is generated with a z-buffer technique. We propose an adjustment method for an accurate alignment with a depth map of a real image. The composition of the real and graphics images uses a well-known z-keying technique. Furthermore, it embodies a panorama image with composition of multiple images captured from a moving depth camera. For this, we propose an efficient method which composes the panorama image and graphic image. This method makes it possible to produce realistic contents so that a user can feel realistic and immersive feeling.
