Impact of a Psychiatric Consultation Program on COVID-19 Patients: An Experimental Study

Objective Following the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, the importance of addressing acute stress induced by psychological burdens of diseases became apparent. This study attempted to evaluate the effectiveness of a new mode of psychiatric intervention designed to target similar psychological crises.Methods Participants included 32 out of 114 COVID inpatients at a hospital in Daegu, Korea, who were assessed between March 30 and April 7, 2020. Multiple scales for screening psychological difficulties such as depressed mood, anxiety, insomnia, acute stress, and suicidality were done. Psychological problem evaluations and interventions were conducted in the form of consultations to alleviate participants’ psychological challenges via telepsychiatry. The interventions’ effects, as well as clinical improvements before and after the intervention, were analyzed.Results As a result of screening, 21 patients were experiencing psychological difficulties beyond clinical thresholds after COVID-19 infection (screening positive group). The remaining 11 were screening negative groups. The two groups differed significantly in past psychiatric histories (p=0.034), with the former having a higher number of diagnoses. The effect of the intervention was analyzed, and clinical improvement before and after the intervention was observed. Our intervention was found to be effective in reducing the overall emotional difficulties.Conclusion This study highlighted the usefulness of new interventions required in the context of healthcare following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Circadian rhythm is an oscillating biological rhythm that operates on a 24-hour cycle and is caused by an internal biological clock. Circadian rhythm regulates many physiological processes and behaviors in the human body, and it has been known that disturbance of circadian rhythm causes various diseases including cancer. The interaction between circadian rhythm and cancer appears in both directions, and chronotherapeutics, the concept of treatment according to circadian timing, has become particularly important in these days. In this article, we investigated the definition and physiological-behavioral outputs of circadian rhythm. The circadian rhythm disruption, circadian timing system and chronomodulated chemotherapy were reviewed in relation to cancer biology.

Objectives:In many countries, suicide attempt is one of the main reasons for emergency hospitalization of young people, putting a heavy burden on health care systems. Telephone crisis hotlines have been operated worldwide for a purpose of suicide prevention programs. The aim of this study was to investigate variables affecting adherence to suicide counseling among callers using telephone crisis hotline. Methods:Our study included 1,029 subjects who contacted telephone crisis hotlines at Daegu Metropolitan Mental Health Center in South Korea. Subjects were asked a series of questionnaires covering sociodemographic and clinical characteristics during first call session. Helpers used Crisis Triage Rating Scale(CTRS) to assess the immediate risk. During next 1-year follow up, the number of follow-up calls after first contact was measured. Subjects who called more than once were designated as a maintenance group. We performed chi-square test and binary logistic regression analysis to investigate variables affecting counseling maintenance. Results:From the initial 1,029 subjects, 570 callers(55.4%) called more than once after their first contact. Marital status(OR=2.470), psychiatric treatment history(OR=1.525) and CTRS score(ORHigh,Low=3.310), (ORModerate,Low=2.623) were significantly associated with the counseling maintenance. Conclusion:This study revealed that callers who were divorced, separated or widowed, who had previous psychiatric intervention history and who were assigned to higher risk CTRS group showed better adherence to telephone counseling. We can use these findings for the development of more useful suicide prevention program by trying to increase adherence, especially for unmarried people and those who have no history of psychiatric treatment.
Nonvolatile Memory Operation of MFIS-FET Using PVDF-TrFE/ZrO₂/Si Structures

A MFIS (metal-ferroelectric-insulatorsemiconductor) structure was fabricated using ZrO₂ buffer layer and a PVDF-TrFE (polyvinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) film ferroelectric film. ZrO₂ film was prepared by a sol-gel method. On the ZrO₂/Si structures, PVDF-TrFE film was deposited by sol-gel method. They were characterized by AFM (atomic force microscopy). The memory window width in C-V (capacitancevoltage) curve of the Au/PVDF-TrFE/ZrO₂/Si structure was about 1 V for a voltage sweep of ±5 V. Base on these results, we fabricated MFIS-FET (metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor field effect transistor) structure. The memory window width in IDVG (drain current-gate voltage) curve of the MFIS-FET was about 3 V.

빅데이터의 병렬분산처리 시스템을 위한 아파치 하둡 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 다수의 컴퓨터를 연결하여 노드를 구성하거나, 하나의 컴퓨터에 다수의 가상 노드 구성을 통해 클라우딩 환경을 구축하여야 한다. 그러나 이러한 시스템을 교육 환경에서 실습용으로 구축하는 것은 복잡한 시스템 구성과 비용적인 측면에서 많은 제약이 따른다. 따라서 빅데이터 처리 분야의 입문자들과 교육기관의 실습용으로 사용할 수 있는 실용적이고 저렴한 학습 시스템의 개발이 시급하다. 본 연구에서는 라즈베리파이 보드를 기반으로 하둡과 NoSQL과 같은 빅데이터처리 및 분석 실습이 가능한 빅데이터 병렬분산처리 학습시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 빅데이터 병렬분산처리시스템은 교육현장과 빅데이터를 시작하는 입문자들에게 유용한 시스템이 될 것으로 기대된다. In order to create an environment for Apache Hadoop for parallel distributed processing system of Bigdata, by connecting a plurality of computers, or to configure the node, using the configuration of the virtual nodes on a single computer it is necessary to build a cloud fading environment. However, be constructed in practice for education in these systems, there are many constraints in terms of cost and complex system configuration. Therefore, it is possible to be used as training for educational institutions and beginners in the field of Bigdata processing, development of learning systems and inexpensive practical is urgent. Based on the Raspberry Pi board, training and analysis of Big data processing, such as Hadoop and NoSQL is now the design and implementation of a learning system of parallel distributed processing of possible Bigdata in this study. It is expected that Bigdata parallel distributed processing system that has been implemented, and be a useful system for beginners who want to start a Bigdata and education.
라즈베리파이 보드 기반의 빅데이터 분석을 위한 학습 시스템

최근 IT분야에서 화두가 되고 있는 빅데이터 처리를 위한 시스템 환경의 구축을 위해서는 다수의 컴퓨터를 네트워크 장비를 통해 연결하여 노드를 구성하거나, 하나의 컴퓨터에 다수의 가상 호스트를 통한 클라우딩 환경을 구축하여야 한다. 그러나 이러한 빅데이터 분석 시스템을 구축하는 것은 복잡한 시스템 구성과 비용적인 측면에서 많은 제약이 따른다. 이러한 제약은 중요한 국가 경쟁력의 하나로 부각되고 있는 빅데이터 전문 인력 양성에 큰 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 빅데이터 분야의 인력 양성을 위한 교육현장에서 저렴한 가격으로 실용적인 교육이 가능한 라즈베리파이 보드 기반의 교육용 빅데이터 분석 시스템을 제안하였다. In order to construct a system for big data processing, one needs to configure the node by using network equipments to connect multiple computers or establish cloud environments through virtual hosts on a single computer. However, there are many restrictions on constructing the big data analysis system including complex system configuration and cost. These constraints are becoming a major obstacle to professional manpower training for big data areas which is emerging as one of the most important national competitiveness. As a result, for professional manpower training of big data areas, this paper proposes a Raspberry Pi Board based educational big data processing system which is capable of practical training at an affordable price.
