        The purpose of this survey is to understand the actual conditional of Cheju national university's students and is to offer basic information and desirable direction for the education program. We composed a questionnaire on students' current conditions, values, university life, getting employment and distributed all departments of Cheju national university. The collected data is analyzed with frequency analysis and cross intersection analysis using the SPSS 12.0 version program. The major findings of this survey are as follows: First, it needs to attract new students outside the juhsdiction of Jeju island. Most of new students entered in our university are within the juhsdiction of Jeju island. Therefore, the university should make effective plans for attracting new students outside the juhsdiction of Jeju island. Second, it needs to increase the opportunities to take career guidance and counselling. Main concern or interest of most students is getting a job or a course to advance. Therefore, to meet their needs, it needs to increase the opportunity to take career guidance and counseling with major professor. Finally, it needs to strengthen the role of Career Center within the university. Most students have showed some interests in counseling and vahous tests. Therefore, Career Center needs to increase various test for students and develops the program to solve students' problem.

      • Mouse의 血液像에 관한 硏究 : Rompun投與가 鎭靜狀態 및 血液像에 미치는 影響 Effect of the administration of rompun on the sedation and the hematological values

        晋州農林專門大學 附屬動物飼育場에서 飼育中인 Mouse를 공시하여 Rompun 投與前 血液像을 調査하여 處理前의 實驗値를 算定했고 處理區는 0.1, 0.2 및 0.3mg/kg 投與群으로 나누어 投與後 鎭靜狀態는 經時的으로 調査했고 血液像은 1, 2, 3 및 4時間에 調査하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 鎭靜導入時間은 0.1mg/kg, 0.2mg/kg 및 0.3mg/kg 投與區에서 각각 20分, 14分, 7.5分이었고 鎭靜待續時間은 0.5時間, 1時間, 2時間이었다. 2. 血球容積, 血色素含量, 赤血球數 및 白血球總數는 鎭靜期에 다소 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 3. 平均赤血球容積은 鎭靜期에 0.1mg/kg投與區는 감소했고, 0.2mg/kg 및 0.3mg/kg投與區는 증가하였다. 4. 血淸總蛋白含量은 投與後 4時間까지 감소하였다. The effects of Rompun on the sedation and the hematological values of the mouse were studied. 3 Levels of Rompun were treated: 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mg/kg of body weight of the mouse. The changes of sedation of the mouse were observed with the passage of time and the hematological values were estimated 4 times(1, 2, 3 and 4 hrs after administration). The results are summarized as follows: 1. Times required to reach the sedation state were 20, 14 and 7.5 min. at the level of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3mg/kg of body weight and the sedation times taken were 0.5, 1 and 2 hours, respectively. 2. Packed cell volume, hemoglobin concentration, erythrocyte counts and leucocyte counts were decreased during sedative periods. 3. Mean corpuscular volume were decreased at the level of 0.1mg/kg during the sedative time, whereas increased at the level of 0.2mg/kg and 0.3mg/kg. 4. Plasma protein contents were decreased continuously up to 4 hours after administration.

      • 순차프로그램의 스피드업에 관한 연구

        In this paper, a function was suggested by the Queueing theory and proved for the parallel processing of the nested do-loops from Fortran. To prove its validity on object program was selected randomly, and its analytical results were carefully compared with the calculated results of do-loops. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Though some overheads are necessary for changing the nested do-loops into single ones, they are quite small, compared with the communication cost needed for the parallel processing. 2. The results of the simulation were the sane as the calculated results.

        At this article we analysized the efficiency in the construction of Management Information System through the suggestion of the way constructing each enterprise information system and its construction illustration by using two methods which provide each enterprise with its information system fitting to the changes of management situation : One method is Client/server computing and the other is End User Computing by which he takes part in the business directly and develops information system. End Users who want to develop their business participated in the entire steps of the system developing cycle for the sake of increasing the effect of their computing. The analysis result about the efficiency of information system by the illustration showed that End User reflected the existing problems on his business directly that the 4th generation language coding made it possible for the next End User to maintain and correct the information system. Besides, we found that this method proved remarkable effect compared with existing method in its adaptation to user satisfaction and change.

      • Guinea Pig의 血液像에 關한 硏究 : 絶食에 따른 血液像 Hematological values in the Starvation

        晋州農林專門大學 附屬動物飼育場에서 飼育되고 있는 姙娠中인 Guinea pig 20匹을 供試하여 絶食期間에 따른 血液像 및 正常管理 24時間後의 回復狀態를 調査하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 赤血球數는 絶食期間이 길수록 增加幅이 크고 正常管理 24時間 後에는 12時間 絶食群은 增加되었고 24時間 및 48時間 絶食群에서는 減少되었다 2. Hemoglobin含量은 다소 增加하는 傾向이었고, Hematocrit値置는 減少하였으나 그 傾向은 뚜렷하지 않았다. 3. Plasma protein은 絶食中 若干 增加되었으나 正常管理 24時間後에도 回復되지 못했다. 4. 絶食後 MCV는 減少되었고 正常管理 24時間後에는 若干 增加했고 MCHC는 이와 반대 傾向이었다. 5. 白血球數는 絶食期間이 길 수록 減少幅이 컸고 正常管理 24時間後에는 12 및 24時間 絶食群은 本來의 數値와 비슷하였고 48時間의 경우는 적게 나타났다. 6. Neutrophils은 若干 增加되었고 Eosinophils및 Lymphocytes는 多少減少되었으나 그 경향은 不規則했다. 7. Basophils및 Monocytes는 變化幅이 輕徵하였다. This experiment was carried out to study the effect of hematological values of Guineapigs in the course of starvation at an interval of 12, 24, 48hr. and the restorative condition of 24hr, after normal feeding. It were raised at the animal farm in Chin-ju National Agricultural and Forestry Junior College. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The erythrocytes counts were gradualy increased by the process of starvation period and it were slightly decreased in both condition(24 and 48hr.) whereas increased 12hr. after normal feeding. 2. The hemoglobin contents increased and the hematocrit values decreased in the process of starvation periods, but the tendency make a no difference. 3. The plasma protein increased a little percentage in the stage of starvation and it was non-recovered initial values at 24hr. after normal feeding. 4. The mean corpusular volume decreased in the stage of starvation, whereas increased a little contents a 24hr. after normal feeding. But the mean corpusular hemoglobin concentration was contrary tendency. 5. The total leukocyte counts were on the decreased by the process of starvation periods, and it was recovered initial values at 12hr. and 24hr. in stage of starvation whereas non-recovered at 48hr. to 24hr. after normal feeding. 6. Neutrophils increased, Eosinophils and Lymphocytes decreased in stage of starvation, but showed irregula fluctuaction. 7. Basophils and Monocytes have not an effect on stage of starvation and 24hr. after normal feeding.

      • 소아에서 Fogarty 카테터를 이용한 일측폐 환기 마취 경험

        Thoracic surgery may be greatly facilitated by causing selective atelectasis of the lung being operated on (one-lung ventilation anesthesia). But the tube used for one-lung ventilation is greater outer diameter than conventional endotracheal tube when compare to each other with same inner diameter, so in some young children it is impossible to one-lung ventilation using double lumen tube or bronchial blocker tube because of narrow vocal cord. We performed one lung ventilation anesthesia using conventional endotracheal tube and Fogarty catheter as a bronchial blocker in 11-year old women who received lung biopsy surgery and left lower lobectomy.

      • Maillard 反應에 관한 연구 : Ⅰ. 아미노산과 6炭糖의 Maillard 反應 Ⅰ. Study on the Mailard Browning of Amino Acids and Hexoses

        아미노산과 7炭糖溶液을 121℃에서 15분간 열처리하였을 때 Maillard 反應의 發色强度를 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 아미노산은 종류에 따라 갈변화 현상의 강도가 높은 것, 중간 것 및 낮은 것으로 대별되었다. 2. Ketose인 L-sorbose와 D-fructose가 aldose인 D-galactose, D-mannose 및 D-glucose 보다 갈변화현상이 높게 나타났다. 3. 반응액의 pH가 높아질 수록 반응성은 증가되었다. 4. D-glucose 및 D-fructose의 농도가 증가될 수록 반응성은 증가되었다. Common amino acids and hexoses have been ranked according to the intensity of Maillard Browning formed when heated in an autoclave for 15min, at 121℃. The results obtained as follows : 1. The amino acid compounds have been grouped into high, intermediate and low browning groups. 2. L-sorbose and D-fructose of ketose form showed higher velocity in this reaction than D-galactose, D-manose and D-glucose of aldose form. 3. As the pH values of reaction solutions increased, the color intensities of Maillard reaction increased. 4. As the concentrations of D-glucose and D-fructose increased, the color intensities of Maillard reaction increased.

      • RAW264.7 세포에서 interferon-r 및 LPS에 의해 유도되는 NO생성에 미치는 TALT-35의 영향

        TALP-35 purified from human term placenta is known to increase microtubule polymerization and stabilize the polymerized microtubule. To examine the effect of TALP-35 on immune system this study was performed. MTT assay was performed to investigate the effect of TALP-35 on the proliferation of RAW264.7 cells. TALP-35 dose dependently suppress the proliferation of RAW264.7 cells at high concentration (above 1 μM) in unstimulated cells, in case of 10 μM TALP-35 treated cells the suppression was 25% but in stimulated cells it was only 15%. Cosedimentation assay was carried out to investigate whether TALP-35 can bind to tubulin of RAW264.7, monocyte/macrophage lineage of mouse, and polymerize it. TALP-35 polymerize the tubulin of RAW264.7 cells and sedimented in dose-dependent manner. To investigate the effect of TALP-35 on the expression of iNOS protein western blotting was performed. The expression level of iNOS was decreased dose dependently in high concentration of TALP-35 treatment. To examine the activity of iNOS, secreted NO was determined by method based on Griess reaction. Interferon-γ and LPS-stimulated production of NO from RAW264.7 cells was decreased dose dependently above 0.1 μM concentration of TALP-35 and 50% is decreased at 10μM of it. This study shows TALP-35 can control cytokine induced-iNOS expression therefore it might control inflammatory diseases.

        Identifying the role of RUNX2 in bone development through network analysis in girls with central precocious puberty

        Background Precocious puberty is a disease in which secondary sexual characteristics develop early in children before the age of 8 and 9 years in girls and boys, respectively. Central precocious puberty (CPP) is diagnosed with the early activation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis with a female predominance. Bone age measurement, along with assessments of physical changes, is one of the primary diagnostic methods for CPP to evaluate growth and maturity. Objective This study investigated the expression levels of genes related to bone development in the blood of girls with CPP compared with normal girls. Results Bone development-related genes were identified, and 5 major genes ( RUNX2 , TGFB1 , VEGFA , IGF1 , and CTNNB1 ) associated with bone development and CPP were selected through literature-based network analyses. The expression levels of RUNX2 , CTNNB1 , and TGFB1 were upregulated in the CPP group compared with the control group. Overall, the expression of RUNX2 showed a significant positive correlation with bone age. Conclusions This study is the first to examine the association between gene expression changes in the blood and bone development, one of the major features of CPP, through an integrated genomic approach. Our study suggests that biological analyses using blood samples for various diseases may be performed for clinical diagnosis.
