        In this study, the influence of TEA on early strength development of concrete is discussed in order to reduce a construction period in RC structure by early removal of forms. According to the results, as for the properties of fresh concrete, fluidity of concrete shows no difference, and air content increases with an increase of the mixing ratio of TEA. Setting time is shortened upto mixing ratio of 0.025%, but is retarded above the mixing ratio of 0.025%. The time when compressive strength gains 5MPa is fast in about 2 hours in the case of the mixing ratio of 0.05%, but it is retarded above the mixing ratio of 0.05%. The relativity between compressive strength and the rebound value of P-type Schmidt hammer is also favorable at early age, and compressive strength of 5MPa, which the side forms can be removed, is estimated at the rebound value of 23.

      • 조기강도 발현형 AE감수제를 사용한 콘크리트의 특성에 관한 연구

        This study discusses the fundamental properties and early strength development of concrete using AE water reducing agent of early-strength type. According to the result, when AE water reducing agent of early-strength type is used, slump and air content loss is smaller than normal AE water reducing agent. While setting time is retarded with an increase of the adding amount of normal AE water reducing agent, it is maintained constantly regardless of the adding amount and faster than normal AE water reducing agent in the case of AE water reducing agent of early-strength type, and bleeding amount is larger than normal AE water reducing agent especially at early age. At curing temperature of 20℃, early compressive strength gains 5MPa, which side form can be removed, before 16 hours in the case of AE water reducing agent of early-strength type, but early compressive strength development is delayed in the case of normal AE water reducing agent. At curing temperature of 10℃, AE water reducing agent of early-strength type is also better than normal AE water reducing agent especially for early compressive strength development.

      • 블리딩저감용 AE감수제의 개발 및 실용성 검토

        This study is intended to develop AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding and investigate its practical use. According to the results, fluidity and air content increases with an increase of superplasticizer and MC viscosity agent, AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding is developed after determining the ratio of superplasticizer and MC viscosity agent as 3:1 to satisfy the same fluidity and air content to conventional concrete and reduce bleeding amount. As the adding ratio of developed AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding increases, fluidity also increases, air content satisfies the aimed range, bleeding and sinking amount of concrete are reduced, and compressive strength is almost not different from plain concrete. Therefore, developed AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding satisfies the aimed air content in the range of slump 12~21cm, and can also reduce bleeding amount effectively without quality deterioration of compressive strength.

        The stress-relevant scaling of vocational activities ascertains and compares with job demands which are characterized by many different human activities. It is the aim of ergonomic efforts to harmonize the influences resulting from the configuration of work content, workplace, equipment, working environment and work organization with man's physical and mental abilities and his psychosocial needs. At present, physiological measurement still provide the best results for the evaluation of physical workoad and climatic stresses. Athough physiological measurements proved the best results, it is also true that the method is expensive and rather slow, not to speak of the problem of direct measurement of the psychological stresses and pressures of the job. For these reasons, the standardized ergonomic analysis in presented : Job profiles. The principles and possibilities of method are explained and their utilities are shown on a practical analysis of car-engine assembling.

        방사선조사가 Streptococcus mutans에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : To observe direct effect of irradiation on cariogenic Streptooccus mutans. Materials and Methods : S. mutans GS5 was exposed to irradiation with a single absorbed dose of 10, 20, 30, and 40 Gy. Viability and changes in antibiotic sensitivity, morphology, transcription of virulence factors, and protein profile of bacterium after irradiation were examined by pour plate, disc diffusion method, transmission electron microscopy, RT-PCR, and SDS-PAGE, respectively. Results : After irradiation with 10 and 20 Gy, viability of S. mutans was reduced. Further increase in irradiation dose, however, did not affect the viability of the remaining cells of S. mutans. Irradiated S. mutans was found to have become sensitive to antibiotics. In particular, the bacterium irradiated with 40 Gy increased its susceptibility to cefotaxime, penicillin, and tetracycline. Under the transmission electron microscope, number of morphologically abnormal cells was increased as the irradiation dose was increased. S. mutans irradiated with 10 Gy revealed a change in the cell wall and cell membrane. As irradiation dose was increased, a higher number of cells showed thickened cell wall and cell membrane and lysis, and appearance of ghost cells was noticeable. In RT-PCR, no difference was detected in expression of gtfB and spaP between cells with and without irradiation of 40 Gy. In SDS-PAGE, proteins with higher molecular masses were gradually diminished as irradiation dose was increased. Conclusion : These results suggest that irradiation affects the cell integrity of S. mutans, as observed by SDS-PAGE, and as manifested by the change in cell morphology, antibiotic sensitivity, and eventually viability of the bacterium.       • 트레드밀 운동시 흡기근 테이핑이 폐활량에 미치는 영향

        이 연구는 트레드밀 운동과 키네시오 테이핑의 효과에 따른 폐활량의 변화를 알아보기 위해 26명의 비흡연자가 참가하였으며 키네시오 테이핑을 적용하지 않은 그룹과 키네시오 테이핑을 적용한 두 그룹으로 무작위로 배정하고 각 군들을 주 3회 6주간의 트레드밀 훈련을 실시하였다. 실험 전과 후, 스파이로미터를 사용하여 키네시오 테이핑의 적용 따른 폐활량 변화 효과를 측정하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 종합해보면 키네시오 테이핑을 적용 그룹에서 적용하지 않은 그룹에 비해 FVC, FEV1에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 건강한 성인에서 키네시오 테이핑을 적용한 경우 키네시오 테이핑을 적용하지 않고 트레드밀 운동을 한 경우보다 폐활량의 향상에 효과적이라고 생각되어진다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the variation of vital capacity(VC) according to the effects of kinesio taping with treadmill exercise. Twenty-six non-smokers were participated in this research and these subjects were randomly assigned into two groups. To measure the VC variation effects of kinesio taping, spirometer was used. The collected data were analyzed statistically by using a paired Mauchly test and repeated measure ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows; A group: treadmill with kinesio taping B group: treadmill without kinesio taping. Between A and B, there were significant differences. In the case of A group, there was 11.66% increase of VC, during 3 weeks experiment(p<.01). In the case of B group, there were significant differences, 3.35% increase of VC, during 3 weeks taping intervention(p<.01). After 6 weeks experiment, the improvement of VC shown a significant difference with intergroup (p<.05). From this result, it was revealed that treadmill exercise with kinesio taping was effective to improve VC to healthy adult than treadmill exercise without kinesio taping.

      • 농촌지역 노인들의 우울증상에 관련된 요인들의 특성

        This study was performed to identify risk factors for depression among the elderly in a rural area. A survey was done for the elderly living in Gosam-myenn, Ansung-kun during the period of July 28, 1997 and July 30, 1997. Demographic and sodoeconornic characteristics, and functional and health Status were assessed using a structured questionnaire, and the level of depression was measured by GDS score. The data obtained were analyzed by frequencies, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression, and the results were as follows: 1. The total sample consisted of 133 elderly. Of them, 47 elderly (35.4%) showed significant depressive Symptoms. 2. The GDS score was the highest for the group over 85 years of age (p < 0.05). Those living alone or widowed showed lower GDS score than those living with someone or married (p < 0.05). 3. The GDS score was the highest in the absolutely dependent group, followed by the partially dependent group, and the independent group (p < 0.01). The elderly who perceived their health Status as excellent showed the lowest GDS score. In contrast, those who had more than five chronic diseases showed the highest GDS score. 4. The elderly receiving financial and emotional support from their family or friends showed lower GDS score compared to those without any support. 5. The economically dependent group showed higher GDS score than that of independent group. 6. The elderly who involved in leisure activities showed lower GDS score than those without any involvement. 7. In terms of risk factors for depression, we found that perceived health Status, subjective economic Status, leisure activities, living arrangement and financial support were inversely associated with GDS score, whereas labor support was positively associated with GDS score. Based upon the above findings, this study suggests that these risk factors for depression in the elderly should be taken into consideration for a comprehensive mental health program for the elderly living in the rural area.

        반복적인 전층각막이식실패 환자에서 데스메막박리 자동 각막내피층판이식술을 시행한 1예

        목적: 두 차례의 전층각막이식 후 재차 이식 실패가 발생하여 데스메막박리 자동 각막내피층판이식술을 시행한 사례를 보고하고자 한다. 증례요약: 33세 인도 국적의 남자 환자로 우안 아메바각막염이 발생하여 인도에서 2차례 전층각막이식수술 및 각막윤부이식을 시행받은 후 본원에 내원하였다. 경과 관찰 도중 우안 이차성 녹내장 진단하에 아메드밸브이식술을 시행하였으며, 우안 각막신생혈관에 진행하여 우안 결막후전술 및 양막이식술을 시행하였다. 이후 각막이식 실패 상태로 진행하여 데스메막박리 각막내피층판이식술을 시행하였다. 수술 후 7개월째 우안 나안시력 20/320으로 특별한 합병증 없이 유지되고 있다. 결론: 전층각막이식 후 각막신생혈관 및 녹내장수술로 인한, 각막내피세포 부전으로 반복적인 이식 실패가 발생한 환자에 있어서 기질 상태가 양호할 경우 데스메막박리 자동 각막내피층판이식술을 시행하여 합병증 없이 좋은 시력회복을 보였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 추후 국내에서 더 많은 수술 환자를 대상으로 한 연구가 필요하다. Purpose: To report a case of Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) for graft failure after re-penetrating keratoplasty (PK). Case summary: A 33-year-old man of Indian nationality who had developed right eye amoeba keratitis and had received two penetrating keratoplasties and allogeneic kerato-limbal transplant in India sought treatment at our hospital. During the follow-up, Ahmed valve transplantation was performed under the diagnosis of secondary glaucoma in his right eye; the patient also underwent conjunctival recession and conjunctival permanent amniotic membrane transplantation as corneal neovascularization had progressed. Subsequently, the corneal transplantation failed and DSAEK was performed. At 7 months after the operation, the right-eye visual acuity was 20/320 without any complications. Conclusions: DSAEK may restore good vision without complications in patients with repeated corneal graft failure after PK from corneal endothelial cell failure followed by corneal neovascularization and glaucoma surgery but with good stromal conditions. We present this case, along with a review of the literature. Future studies will require more surgical patients.
