      • 이온주입이 금속의 일함수에 미치는 영향(Ⅰ)

        이온 주입이 일함수 차이에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 낮은 에너지 이온 가속기, 전자총과 기타 일함수 차이를 측정하기 위한 장치를 설계, 제작하였다. 제작된 이온 가속기의 집속 특성은 이론적인 값과 일치하였다. 즉, 집속 렌즈의 확대율이 이론값은 2.0인데 비하여 1.2로 상당히 작은 값이었다. 또한 집속 렌즈의 전압 V_L과 추출 전압 V_e에 의한 집속 특성 역시 이론값과 매우 잘 일치하였다 . 제작된 장치를 사용하여 다결정 Cu와 Ni의 일함수 차이를 측정한 결과 0.45eV임을 알았다. 그리고 전자선을 이용하여 억제 전위차로 일함수를 측정할때 입사 전자의 반사율을 고려해야 함을 알았다. Low energy ion accelerator, electron gun, and apparatus for measuring work function difference are designed and constructed in order to study the effect of ion implantation on the work function. The focusing properties of accelerator is coincided with theoretical results; the magnification of Einzel lens is found to be 1.2, while theoretical value is 2.0, and the focal properties as a function of V_L/V_e are in good agreement with theory. Using these systems, the work function difference between polycrystalline Cu and Ni is found to be 0.45eV, and the experimental retarding potential plots indicate close agreement with the theoretical values modified by electron reflection.

        드부룬의 라텍스분리풍선카테타법에 의한 경동맥해면정맥동루 및 내경동맥 동맥류의 치료

        The two cases, one carotid-cavernous fistula and one giant aneurysm of internal carotid artery, treated with Debrun's latex detachable balloon catheter technique are reported. Case 1 was a 50-year-old man who had proptosis, chemosis and 3rd nerve palsy in his right eye. His cerebral angiography showed typical traumatic carotid-cavernous fistula. Following complete radiologic and neurologic examination, the fistulous opening was successfully occluded with preservation of the internal carotid artery using latex detachable balloon. Immediately after occlusion of the fistula the clinical symptoms were markedly improved. Only transient facial pain occured as a complication. Case 2 was a 21-year-old woman who had a dizziness and left facial nerve palsy. The cerebral angiography showed a giant aneurysm at the petrous portion of left internal carotid artery. The patient tolerated occlusion of the left carotid artery. The left internal carotid artery was completely occluded with 3 detachable balloons. The patient had no complications during 9 days follow-up. The procedures and complications of detachable balloon catheter technique will be described and discussed.

        낮은 에너지 가속기를 제작하여 순도가 99.99%인 다결정 Ni에 Li^+ 이온을 7 keV의 에너지로 각 시료에 대한 이온주입율이 1.3×10^16atoms/㎠, 4.0×10^15atoms/㎠, 2.0×10^15atoms/㎠, 1.0×10^15atoms/㎠, 2.0×10^14atoms/㎠ 가 되도록 주입시킨 후 전자총과 억제 전위차형 에너지 분석기를 이용하여 일함수의 변화를 측정하였다. 이온 주입율이 2×10^15atoms/㎠보다 작을 때는 일함수가 1.9 eV까지 감소하였고 이온주입율이 4.0×10^15atoms/㎠보다 많을 때는 일함수가 2.8 eV까지 증가하였다. 이것은 Topping의 이론 및 Bauer의 실험결과와 일치함을 보였다. The changes in the work function of polycrystalline Ni with a purity of 99.99% due to Li^+ ions implanted using a low energy ion accelerator and retarding potential energy analyser(RPEA) have been studied. The implantation energy of the Li^+ ions is 7 keV and the implanted ion dose for the various samples are 1.3×10^16 atoms/㎠, 4.0×10^15 atoms/㎠, 2.0×10^15 atoms/㎠, 1.0×10^15 atoms/㎠ and 2.0×10^14 atoms/㎠. When the ion dose is less than 2×10^15 atoms/㎠ the, work function decreases to 1.9 eV, but when the ion dose is more than 4×10^15 atoms/㎠, the work function increses to 2.8 eV. These results are in good agreement with Topping's theory and Bauer's experiment.

        Aromatic Fluorination by Decomposition of Triazenes in Ionic Liquids

        The aromatic fluorination method involving the acid-catalyzed decomposition of a triazene in an ionic liquid is a very convenient and efficient way to prepare a variety of aromatic fluorides in a lab-scale. It should be particularly useful for the preparation aryl fluorides substituted with electron withdrawing substituents. Fluorination of triazene 1 (1.0 mmol) and p-toluenesulfonic acid (1.2 mmol) in an ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim][$BF_4$], 2.5 mL) proceeds very smoothly at 80 ${^{\circ}C}$ with or without an external source of fluoride, providing 73% yield in 30 min. Unlike diazonium salts, triazene precursors are stable enough to be stored for a long period of time without a noticeable decomposition.

        Inhibitory effects of polyphenols isolated from Rhus verniciflua on Aldo-keto reductase family 1 B10

        Aldo-keto reductase family 1 B10 (AKR1B10) is a member of the NADPH-dependent aldo-keto reductase (AKR) superfamily, and has been considered to be a potential cancer therapeutic target. Total extract from the bark of Rhus verniciflua (Toxico-dendron vernicifluum (Stokes)) showed AKR1B10 inhibitory activity. To identify the active compounds from R. verniciflua responsible for AKR1B10 inhibition, nine compounds were isolated via bioactivity-guided isolation and tested for their effects against recombinant human AKR1B10 (rhAKR1B10). Results showed that butein, isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction, was most able to inhibit rhAKR1B10. The inhibitory rate of butein against rhAKR1B10 was 42.86% at 1 μM with an IC50 value of 1.47 μM, and enzyme kinetic analysis revealed its inhibition mode to be uncompetitive.         Effect of Substitution of Fermented King Oyster Mushroom By-Products Diet on Pork Quality during Storage

        This study was carried out to investigate the effects of substitution of fermented king oyster mushroom (P. eryngii) by-products diet on pork meat quality characteristics, during the storage. A mixture of 40% king oyster mushroom by-products, 28% soybean meal and 20% corn was fermented for 10 d, and the basal diet was then substituted by the fermented diet mixture of up to 20, 50 and 80%, respectively. A total of 96 pigs were fed experimental diet (8 pigs per pen ${\times}$ 4 diets ${\times}$ 3 replication), and eight longissiumus (LD) per treatment were collected, when each swine reached to 110 kg of body weight. The Warner-Bratzler shear forces and cooking loss were significantly lowered in the treatments, while crude protein content and water holding capacity significantly (p<0.05) increased in the treatments than in the control group. The volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), at 1 d of storage, was lower in the treatments, while texture profiles and sensory evaluation did not differ between the control and the treatments (p>0.05). The pH, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), VBN and meat color in all treatments were increased as storage increased. Fermented king oyster mushroom by-products diet effects on lightness (CIE $L^*$), yellowness (CIE $b^*$) and chroma were determined, when LD muscles in T2 and T3 treatments were higher (p<0.05), up to 7 d (p<0.05). Therefore, the results indicate that the substitution of the fermented king oyster mushroom by-products diet to swine diet influenced the quality of the meat and it may be an economically valuable ingredient.

        Effects of Supplemental Fermented Agro By-products Diet on the Growth Performances, Blood Characteristics and Carcass Traits in Fattening Pigs

        Effects of a supplemental fermented agro by-products diet on growth performance, blood characteristics and carcass traits were investigated in fattening pigs. The fermented diet mainly contained 38.0% brewer's grain, 25.0% rice bran and 21.0% byproduct of king oyster mushrooms. The mixed ingredients were fermented at $40^{\circ}C$ for 7 days and fed to crossbred barrow pigs for 62 days. Ninety pigs were housed in 10 head per pen with three replicate pens per treatment. The pigs in the control group were fed with formula feed, while the pigs in T1 group were fed 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% fermented diet substituted with formula feed on 1 week interval. Pigs in T2 group were fed 30, 60 and 100% fermented diet substituted with formula feed on 1 week interval. The fermented diet significantly (p<0.05) decreased body weight gain and feed efficiency of pigs. The blood characteristics differed with diet types. Carcass grade was significantly better (p<0.05) in the pigs fed fermented diet than in the pigs fed control diet as well as ratio of high grade was higher in the fermented diet groups. Therefore, although a dietary of fermented diet decreased growth performance and feed efficiency, it improved the carcass grade in pigs.

        The Growth of Mugil cephalus, Patinopecten yessoensis and Saccharina japonica in the IMTA System

        In this study, we investigated the growth of striped mullet (Mugil cephalus), Yesso scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) and kelp (Saccharina japonica) farmed under the IMTA (integrated multi-trophic aquaculture) system developed by national institute of fisheries science (NIFS). The farmed striped mullets grew from an initial length and weight of 152.5±12.1 mm and 41.6±7.8 g in October 2013 to 154.2±5.6 mm and 47.5±8.6 g in November, 160.2±8.7 mm and 55.9±9.1 g in December and 168.4±9.6 mm and 58.4±8.7 g in January. The fish continued to grow and reached 190.2±9.4 mm in length and 87.5±8.9 g in weight in April and 256.4±9.7 mm and 156.7±6.7 g in October 2014. The daily growth rate (DGR) for total fish length was 0.015~0.1 mm/day during the periods of fast growth and attained 0.038~0.1 mm /day during February~March. The kelp grew from an initial blade length and wet weight of 1.19±0.2cm and 0.0028±0.0012 g in January 2014 to 3.3±0.8 cm and 2.5±0.9 g in February and 126.5±11.6 cm and 107.4±22.6 g in March, after which, erosion occurred and slowed the growth. The DGRs for kelp length ranged 0.03 1.9 mm /day in January 2014 and increased to 0.88~1.9 mm /day during March~April. Increasing water temperatures beginning in April lowered the DGR to 0.03 mm /day. Yesso scallops grew from an initial shell length, shell height and wet weight of 11.83±0.6 mm, 12.68±0.7 mm and in September 2013 to 19.9±2.5 mm, 20.8±2.6 mm and 0.9±0.04 g in November 2013. They continued to grow to 45.91±0.71 mm in shell length, 42.55±0.8 mm in shell height and 12.7±1.3 g in wet weight by May 2014 and 60.2±2.51 mm, 554.6±2.61 mm and 24±2.70 g by October 2014. The DGRs for shell length of Yesso scallop ranged from 0.02 to 0.256 mm/day with higher values of 0.256~0.27 mm/day during November December 2013 and March~April 2014.

        The bridge bearings and girder seats, which transfer superstructure loads to substructure, are important parts in the bridge structures, especially railway bridges in which the live load to dead load ratio is large. Also, these parts are considered as one of the most critical connections when earthquake load is applied. Unlike the bridge bearings which are manufactured in the shop with strict quality controls, the girder seats are constructed in the fields and it is common to be found with severe damages due to railway loads and impacts. The beam seat damages cause strength reduction, especially for the horizontal load by earthquake and may not possess adequate strength for earthquake load. In the railway bridges, these damages start more rapidly than other bridges because the live load portion is large, the impact and horizontal load are huge due to the railway's high speed. These damages could be minimized if the load, which are applied to the girder seats, could be distributed into wider surface and the concrete face could be protected. The purpose of this strengthen method is to protect girder seat and reduce maintenance cost by longitudinally connect bridge bearings with steel plates and distributing superstructure reactions and earthquake loads into wider areas.

        한국형 출혈열 환자에서 동반된 간기능 장애가 그 예후에 미치는 영향

        The prognostic factors of Korean hemorrhagic fever are still not clarified. We evaluated the relationship between liver dysfunction on admission and mortality in 121 patients with Korean hemorrhagic fever admitted at the department of internal medicine, Severance hospital from May, 1g77 to May, 1985 and the following results were obtained. 1) Overall mortality rate in patients with Korean hemorrhagic fever was 10. 7%(13 of 121). 2) The expired patients showed much higher initial SGOT and SGPT level compared to those who survived. 3) Elevated SGOT level was more useful than SGPT level as a poor prognostic index. 4) The expired patients had lower serum albumin level and more prolonged prothrombin time than survived. 5) No differences were seen between two groups in the degree of acidosis, RUN and serum creatinine level. In conclusion, severe hepatic dysfunction should be considered as a poor prognostic index ia patients with Korean hemorrhagic fever.
