We present autopsy findings of a 22-year-old man who developed chest pain 5 days after the first dose of the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine and died 7 hours later. Histological examination of the heart revealed isolated atrial myocarditis, with neutrophil and histiocyte predominance. Immunohistochemical C4d staining revealed scattered single-cell necrosis of myocytes which was not accompanied by inflammatory infiltrates. Extensive contraction band necrosis was observed in the atria and ventricles. There was no evidence of microthrombosis or infection in the heart and other organs. The primary cause of death was determined to be myocarditis, causally-associated with the BNT162b2 vaccine.

OBJECTIVE
Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a unique cerebrovascular disorder characterized by the progressive occlusion of the bilateral internal carotid arteries. Endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs), previously termed “endothelial progenitor cells,” play an important role in the pathogenesis of MMD. In this study, the authors performed morphological and functional studies of the mitochondria of ECFCs from patients with MMD to present new insights into the pathogenesis of the disease.
METHODS
The morphology of ECFCs from 5 MMD patients and 5 healthy controls was examined under both a transmission electron microscope and a confocal laser scanning microscope. The oxygen consumption rates (OCRs), mitochondrial membrane potentials (MMPs), intracellular Ca2+ concentrations, mitochondrial enzyme activities, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels were measured. Functional activity of the ECFCs was evaluated using a capillary tube formation assay.
RESULTS
The ECFCs from the MMD patients displayed a disrupted mitochondrial morphology, including a shorter and more circular shape. The ECFC mitochondria from the MMD patients exhibited functional abnormalities, which were assessed as a decreased OCR and an increased intracellular Ca2+ concentration. Moreover, the ECFCs from MMD patients showed increased ROS levels. Interestingly, treatment with an ROS scavenger not only reversed the mitochondrial abnormalities but also restored the angiogenic activity of the ECFCs from the MMD patients.
CONCLUSIONS
The mitochondria of ECFCs from MMD patients, as compared with those from healthy patients, exhibited morphological and functional abnormalities. This finding suggests that the mitochondrial abnormalities may have a role in the pathogenesis of MMD.

Extended Detection for MIMO Systems with Partial Incremental Redundancy Based Hybrid ARQ
Sangjoon Park,Younghoon Whang,Sooyong Choi IEEE 2012 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS Vol.11 No.10

In this paper, an extended detection scheme is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems which employ partial incremental redundancy (IR) based hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ). Based on the extended MIMO system model that interprets multiple retransmissions as a single transmission, the extended detection scheme estimates the entire transmitted symbols utilizing all information obtained up to the current retransmission. Compared with the conventional zero-forcing (ZF) detection scheme, the extended ZF detection scheme improves the post-processing signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the newly transmitted symbols in every retransmission, as well as the repeatedly transmitted symbols. Simulation results verify that the extended detection scheme outperforms the conventional detection scheme. Simulation results also show that the extended minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) detection scheme can achieve a better error performance than the conventional maximum-likelihood (ML) detection scheme, and even the extended ZF detection scheme shows a comparable error performance to the conventional ML detection scheme.

KTO(Korea Traditional Osteopathy)
Vol.7 No.3
This study is for patients who are diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder, Korean traditional osteopath (KTO) was applied. The reduction of pain in patients with significant pain relief who studied how to increase the range of motion of the shoulder joint in order to additionally confirm. Consists of a total of 14 subjects, divided into two groups of seven experimental groups and seven control groups was studied. KTO seven patients was performed a total of 10 times seven patients was not performed. Look at each item, if the range of motion of the shoulder joint, The group looked at the changes in the operation value when applying the KTO Flexion (7.33), Extension (10.00), Abduction (8.76), Adduction (9.05), external rotation (8.10), internal rotation (10.00) was changed. The group looked at the changes in the operation value when did not apply the KTO Flexion (7.33), Extension (10.00), Abduction (8.76), Adduction (9.05), external rotation (8.10), internal rotation (10.00) was changed. That you can bring an increase in range of motion of the shoulder Frozen Shoulder Korean traditional osteopathic treatment to patients.
