        Shen-Yang(腎陽) is the energy or motivating force for the physiological function of kidney as well as the source of life processes. Shen-Yang plays an important role in the body flued regulation in Oriental Medicine. Insufficiency of Shin-Yang has been claimed to cause frequent micturition or oligurea, and edema. Wookwiyeum(WKY) and Palmijihwnagtang(PJT) have been applied for the treatment of impairment of Shen-Yang and recently of chronic nephritis, diabetes insipidus and hypertension etc. This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of WKY and PJT on the renal function and levels of plasma aldosterone in rabbits. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Intravenous administration of 0.3㎖/kg of WKY water extract in the unanesthetized rabbit caused significant increase in urine volum, glomerular filtration rate, free water clearance and urinary excretion of potassium. 2. After intravenous administration of 0.6㎖/kg of WKY water extract in the unanesthetized rabbit, urine volume, glomerular filtration rate and urinary excretion of electrolytes were increased significantly, but free water clearance didn't show significance. 3. Intravenous administration of 0.3㎖/kg, of PJT water extract in the unanesthetized rabbit caused effective increase in urine volume, renal plasma flow, glomerular filtration rate, free water clearance and urinary excretion of potassium and chloride. 4. After intravenous administration of 0.6㎖/kg of PJT water extract in the unanesthetized rabbit, urine volume were decreased without significance, and renal plasma flow and free water clearance were decreased significantly, but glomerular filtration rate and urinary excretion of sodium and chloride were increased significantly. 5. The levels of plasma aldosterone were decreased remarkably after intravenous administration of WKY and also PJT in hydrated rabbits. 6. Mean arterial blood pressure showed significant increase after administration of 0.3㎖/kg of WKY water extract, but decreased remarkably after administration of 0.6㎖/kg of WKY water extract and PJT water extract. These results suggest that WKY and PJT water extract have diuretic and antihypertensive effect which may be caused by renal hemodynamic and hormonal change, and by decrease in peripheral vascular resistance.

      • 열풍장치의 안전도에 관한 검토

        This paper is analytical examination result about safety of hot air furnace and its accompanying installations which are installed at industrial buildings in the city, for winter air conditioning. Most of the furnace has so low efficiency that it requires high rate in fuel consumption and maintenance expense. Moreover, not only its life is shortening because they did not get anticorrorsion treatment, but also they did not devise a proper measure for prevention of disaster. So, we got the following resultant: For furnace body itself, it should be made of antithermal and anticorrosion metals, or be treated with an anticrrosion treatment and the using fuel should be treated with an anticorrosive. For sanitary condition, hot air aparatus should be equipped with the fresh air intake duct, air cleaner and humidifier. For prevention of a fire, the fire damper should be attached to the outtake duct entrance, guide vane to the corner of hot air duct and hot air duct itself should be made of heat proofing materials.

      • 계란으로 부터의 E. coli 특이 항체 대량 생산에 관한 연구

        포르말린으로처리한 장독소 E. coli을 20주령닭(이사브라운)에 면역시켰을 때 약 2주 경과 후 계란에서 항 E. coli 특이 항체의 생성을 확인할 수 있었고, 8주 후에 최고치에 도달하였다. 그리고 난황의 특이 항체 역가는 25주 후까지 일정하게 유지되었다. 계란 항체 단백질은 PEG 분리·정제법으로 8.66㎎/㎖ 의 수율로 항체를 얻을 수 있으며, 이 항체의 역가는 파쇄된 E. coli을 이용한 ELISA로 측정하였다. 이 항체를 Trypticase Soy Brith에 1∼10㎎/㎖의 비율로 첨가하여 E. coli과 혼합 배양하였을 때 E. coli의 생장을 현저히 억제함을 알 수 있어 계란 항체를 이용한 설사 예방·치료제 및 건강 보조 식품 개발이 가능할 것으로 보인다. Hens immunized with formalin-treated E. coli antigen, and anti-E. coli antibody(IgG) could be detected in egg yolks 2 weeks after the first antigen injection, reached peak at about 8 seeks. Levels of specific antibody activity in egg yolk continued 25 weeks after first immunizqation. Active immunoglobulin protein was isolated from egg yolk of immunized chickens with PEG purification method. Purification yield was 8.66㎎ per 1㎖ egg yolk. The antibody activity was measured by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with sonicated E. coli cell as antigen. The anti-E. coli antibody(IgG) inhibited E. coli growth in trypticase soy broth culture at low concentration(1∼10㎎ IgG/㎖ TSB). It appears possible to use IgG for the formulation of food and therapeutic products, especially diarrhea.

      • TiN/TiSi₂-bilayer 형성과 전기적 특성

        TiN/TiSi₂-bilayers were formed by reactive sputter deposition in mixed gas of Ar+N₂ on the TiSi₂/Si(100) substrate, which TiSi₂ film was grown by means of the Ti sputtering, and the coevaporation of Ti and Si(Ti : Si = 1 : 2) on the Si(100)-2 ×1 substrate followed by in-situ annealing in ultrahigh vacuum. Stoichiometric Ti??N?? films with (111) texture determined XRD, RBS and XPS were grown at substrate temperature over 600℃, while films prepared at substrate temperature below 600℃ showed N-rich TiN, and the high quality TiSi₂ film was obtaind from the Ti/Si(100) and (Ti+2Si)/Si(100) samples annealed at 700℃. It is capping effect that the TiSi₂ film in the TiN/TiSi₂/Si(100) structure does not occure the agglomeration phenomena. The sheet resistance of the TiN/TiSi₂-bilayer prepared at 700℃ showed 0.39Ω/㎝².

      • 레이져 마킹을 위한 갈바노미터 구동에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 레이져 마킹용 갈바노미터의 구동을 위하여 마킹에 필요한 벡터 폰트의 개발환경 구축하고, 만들어진벡터 폰트를 PC와 구동 장치간의 통신용 인터페이스를 제작하여 갈바노미터(galvanometer)에 송신, 출려할 수 있도록 하였다.벡터 폰트의 곡선 처리는 베지어(Bezier) 함수를 사용한 외곽선 폰트(outline pont)를 사용하였다.폰트 에디터를 이용하여 문자를 작성한 후 문자의 외곽선 정보를 인터페이스 카드에 보내고, 이 데이터를 D/A변환기를 통해 갈바노미터 구동장치를 구동하고, 레이져를 갈바노미터 반사경에 조사하여 폰트를 출려할 수 있도록 하였다.인터페이스 카드는 16비트 D/A변환기를 이용하여 PC의 ISA 버스를 이용하였다.실험을 통해 개발된 장치의 구동이 올바르게 동작함을 확인하였다.

      • In situ 고상 에피택시 방법에 의한 CoSi₂/Si(111)구조의 형성

        초고진공에서 공상에피택시(solid-phase epiyaxy, SPE) 방법으로 CoSi₂를 Si(111)기판 위에 에피택시 성장시켰다. 2MeV⁴He++ ion후방산란 분광기와 사중결정 x-선 회절기 및 고분해 투과전자 현미경을 이용하여 성장된 CoSi₂의 상과 조성, 결정성, 그리고 계면의 미시구조를 조사하였다. 초고진공상태의 실온에서 Si(111)-7X7기판에 Co를 약 20 ~50 ?? 중착한 후 SPE에 의하여 실리사이드를 형성시키는 경우 600℃에서는 B-형의 CoSi₂가, 그리고 700℃에서는 A형의 CoSi₂가 선택적으로 에피택시 성장하였으며, 정합성은 B-CoSi₂[110]//Si[110] and CoSi₂(111)//Si(111)이, 그리고 700℃에서는 A-CoSi₂[110]//Si[110], CoSi₂(002)//Si(002)을 나타내었다. Epitaxial films of CoSi₂were grown on Si(111) substrates by in situ solid-phase epitaxy in a ultrahigh vacuum. The phase, the chemical composition, the crystallinity, and the microstructure of the Silicide/Si interface were investigated by 2-MeV⁴He++ ion-backscattering spectrometry, quadruple crystal X-ray diffractometry, and high-resolution transmission eletron micorscopy. High-quality films of either B-type or A-type CoSi₂ could be grown selectively on Si(111) substrates by depositing ~ 20 ~ 50 ?? of Co on a Si(111)-7X7 substrate followed by in situ annealing at 600℃ or 700℃ for 10 min. The matching face relationships are CoSi₂[110]//Si[110] and CoSi₂(111)//Si(111) by B-type CoSi₂ and CoSi₂[110]//Si[110]//Si[110] and CoSi₂(002)//Si(002) for A-type CoSi₂.

        산과 경막외마취가 분만에 미치는 영향

        목적 : 무통분만을 위해 시행한 지속적 경막외제통이 분만에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 분만시 통증경감을 원하는 산모를 두군으로 나누어 자궁경부가 3-5cm 개대시 1군 산모 35명은 0.0625% bupivacaine과 0.2㎍/㎖ fentanyl을 혼합하여 지속적 경막외제통을 시행하였고, 2군 산모 43명은 nalbuphine 10mg을 근주하였다. 1군과 2군에서 분만 1기와 2기의 진행시 소요된 시간, 제왕절개술의 빈도, 신생아의 Apgar score 및 체중을 기록하였고 통증 정도는 0-100mm의 시각통증등급에따라 측정하였다. 통계는 모수검정에는 independent t-test, 비모수검정에는 chi-square test를 이용하여 p〈0.05인 경우 통계적 의의를 두었다. 결과 : 1. 1군에서 분만 1기와 2기가 연장되었지만 통계적 차이는 없었다. 2. 신생아의 체중 및 Apgar score는 두 군간에 차이가 없었다. 3. 제왕절개술의 빈도는 1군이 16%(7/35), 2군이 14%(6/43)로 두 군간에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 4. 통증정도는 1군에서 유의하게 낮았다. 결론 : 분만진통시 시행하는 경막외제통은 분만의 진행과정에 지장을 주지 않았고 제왕절개술의 빈도도 높이지 않았다. 경막외제통은 태아나 산모에게 안전하게 시행될 수 있으나 산모선택이나 마취방법, 산과적 수기에 세심한 주의가 필요하다고 사료된다. Background : The effect of epidural analgesia on the progress of labor is controversial. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of analgesia on the outcome of labor, especially cesarean delivery rate in the epidural group and non-epidural group, prospectively. Methods : All the parturients were divided into two groups, group 1(epidural group, n=35) and group 2(non-epidural group, intramuscular nalbuphine, n=43) randomly. Epidural analgesia was maintained with a continuous epidural injection of 0.0625% bupivacaine with 0.2 ㎍/㎖ fentanyl in the group 1 and nalbuphine 10 ㎎ was intramuscular injected in the group 2 when the cervix was dilated to at least 3-5 ㎝. The duration of first and second stage of labor, cesarean delivery rate, Apgar score and body weight of baby were recorded and pain score of parturient was recorded by 0-100 ㎜ visual analog scale. Results : The duration of first and second stage labor were prolonged in the group 1. But there were no significant differences in the duration of first and second stage labor, Apgar score and body weight of baby between the two groups. Cesarean delivery rate was 16%(n= 7/35) in the group 1 and 14%(n= 6/43) in the group 2, so there was no significant difference between the two groups. Pain score was significantly lower in the group 1 than the group 2. Conclusion : Epidural analgesia was not associated with increased cesarean delivery rate and provided safe and effective intrapartum pain control. Maternal-fetal factors and obstetric management, not epidural analgesia, are the most important determinants of the cesarean delivery rate.

      • 고위험군의 원발성 전신성 유전분증 1례 보고 및 조혈모세포이식에 대한 문헌고찰

        저자 등은 클론성 형질세포질환과 동반된 젊은 연령의 원발성 전신성 유전분증 환자를 진단하였기에 다발성 골수종과의 감별 진단, 치료 , 예후 및 고용량 항암화학요법과 조혈모세포이식에 관하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Primary systemic amyloidosis (AL) is a rapidly fatal disorder related to plasma cell dyscrasia. Conventional dose of melphalan, which prolongs the duration of survival by about 10 months, does not improve the functions of impaired organs in most cases. The high dose chemotherapy followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell rescue for AL, in spite of its high treatment-related mortality, is a new approach to achieve high response rate and better survival. We experienced a 35-year old man with AL(involving heart, liver, stomach, kidneys, peripheral nerve, and rectum) who did not respond to the standard schedule of melphalan plus prednisone and had rapidly fatal course with organ failure. Hence, we evaluate its availability by reviewing the recent reports of high dose chemotherapy in AL.

        불량 단감을 이용한 속성 감식초의 제조와 품질 평가

        This study was performed to analyze general components such as, organic acids, alcohols and minerals in persimmon vinegar made with quick fermented using deteriorated sweet persimmon and four commercial vinegars(rice vinegar, apple vinegar, brewed vinegar, traditional persimmon vinegar) purchased in local markets for quality evaluation. The pH and total acidity of all vinegars were in the range of 2.02~3.02 and 4.62~9.78%, respectively. The pH of quick fermented persimmon vinegar(A) was relatively higher than that of others. Acidity was the highest in brewed vinegar. Total sugar content was in the range of 0.45~6.43%. These contents were high in were high in traditional persimmon vinegar wherase low in brewed vinegar. Total nitrogen and amino-nitrogen were in the range of 0.025~0.046% and 0.015~0.029%. Organic acids were identified as acetic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, formic acid and oxalic acid. While major minerals of all vinegars were Mg, Ca, and Na, minor minerals were Zn, Cu, Mn and Fe.

        감과실 알코올 발효를 위한 효모의 분리

        To utilize abundant poor persimmon fruits effectively, it was studied on alcohol fermentation strains which were isolated and indentified from poor persimmon fruits. The strains which had exellent alcohol production ability were analysized morphogical, cultural characteristics and identified Saccharomyces cerevisiae YJK 20, Sacahroimyces kluveri DJ 97. Alcohol production ability between the isolated strains and industrial alcohol yeasts was compared in the YPD medium, persimmon extract medium. Isolated strains had high alcohol production ability in both of two medium, respectively. So it was expected that the strains, YKJ 20 and DJ 97 had good alcohol fermentation ability of persimmon fruits.
