( Kai-di Chang ),( Chi-yuan Chen ),( Shih-wen Hsu ),( Han-chieh Chao ),( Jiann-liang Chen ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2012 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.6 No.1
Since Internet Protocol (IP) is the most important protocol in Next Generation Networks (NGNs), 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) utilizes Session Initial Protocol (SIP) based on IP as the base protocol for negotiating sessions in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Different from traditional circuit-switched network, in IMS, the media traffic and signaling are delivered through IP transport. The media traffic may affect the signaling efficiency in core network, due to traffic collisions and best effort packets delivery. This paper proposes a novel path-migration mechanism for enhancing the traffic efficiency in integrated NGN-IMS. The simulation results show that the interference and traffic collision can be reduce by applying proposed path-migration mechanism and the signaling efficiency in core network can be improved with higher system capability and voice quality.

Chang, Kai-Di,Chen, Chi-Yuan,Chen, Jiann-Liang,Chao, Han-Chieh Korea Information Processing Society 2010 Journal of information processing systems Vol.6 No.2
The trend of Next Generation Networks' (NGN) evolution is towards providing multiple and multimedia services to users through ubiquitous networks. The aim of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is to integrate mobile communication networks and computer networks. The IMS plays an important role in NGN services, which can be achieved by heterogeneous networks and different access technologies. IMS can be used to manage all service related issues such as Quality of Service (QoS), Charging, Access Control, User and Services Management. Nowadays, internet technology is changing with each passing day. New technologies yield new impact to IMS. In this paper, we perform a survey of IMS and discuss the different impacts of new technologies on IMS such as P2P, SCIM, Web Service and its security issues.
A survey of Trust Management in WSNs, Internet of Things and Future Internet
( Kai-di Chang ),( Jiann-liang Chen ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2012 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.6 No.1
Nowadays, most researchers and manufacturers always pay attention on wireless sensor networks (WSNs) due to its potential applications in many regions such as military, industrial and civilian areas. WSNs are the basic components of Internet of Things (IoT) and the key to machine-to-machine communications and the future Internet. Also, the security is an essential element for deploying WSNs. Recently the concept of trust-based mechanism was proposed in WSNs such as traditional cryptographic and authentication mechanisms. However, there is lack a survey on trust management for WSNs, IoT even future Internet. In this paper, we discuss the concept and potential application areas of trust management for WSNs and IoT worlds. Furthermore, we survey different trust management issues (i.e., cluster, aggregation, reputation). Finally, future research directions with respect to trust management in WSNs and future IoT world are provided. We give not only simple WSNs for IoT environments but also a simulated bootstrap platform to provide the discussion of open challenges and solutions for deploying IoT in Future Internet.

Hybrid ferromagnet/semiconductor systems have been the focus of considerable attention because of the transport properties of two-dimensional electron systems and their potential applications to magnetic storage and sensing devices. We use the weak localization effect to probe the dephasing mechanism at low temperatures. In our study, the zero-temperature phase-relaxation rate can be enhanced in a hybrid ferromagnet/semiconductor system, which may be due to the inhomogeneous magnetic field emanating from the Ni film. The result may improve understanding of the issue of zero-temperature dephasing in disordered systems. We report a magneto-transport study on the two-dimensional electron system (2DES) in an Al- GaAs/GaAs heterostructure. The direct insulator to quantum Hall conductor transition is observed at low temperatures by increasing the magnetic field B perpendicular to the 2DES. We can also observe the transition by varying the current I and find a relation Te~Ia between electron effective temperature Te and current. Here, a denotes the exponent for the power law. The exponent a, however, can have different values on the two sides of the transition point, which indicates different inelastic scattering mechanisms in the low-field insulator and in the quantum Hall conductor. Fang, Wang-Kai,Gu, Wei,Liao, Lian-Di,Chen, Bo,Wu, Zhi-Yong,Wu, Jian-Yi,Shen, Jian,Xu, Li-Yan,Li, En-Min Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.2
Objective: Desmogleins (DSGs) are major members among the desmosomal cadherins critically involved in cell-cell adhesion and the maintenance of normal tissue architecture in epithelia. Reports exploring links of DSG family member expression with cancers are few and vary. The aim of this study was to investigate the ratio of DSG2 and DSG3 mRNA expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) tissue to normal tissue (T/N ratio) and evaluate correlations with clinical parameters. Methods: The mRNA expression of DSGs, as well as ${\gamma}$-catenin and desmoplakin, was detected by real-time quantitative RT-PCR in 85 cases of ESCC tissue specimens. Results: The expression level of DSG3 mRNA was significantly higher than that of DSG2 in ESCC specimens (p=0.000). DSG3 mRNA expression highly correlated with histological grade (p=0.009), whereas that of DSG2 did not significantly relate to any clinicopathologic parameter. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that only DSG3 expression had an impact on the survival curve, with negative DSG3 expression indicating worse survival (p=0.038). Multivariate Cox regression analysis demonstrated DSG3 to be an independent prognostic factor for survival. Furthermore, correlation analysis demonstrated the mRNA level of DSG3 to highly correlate with those of ${\gamma}$-catenin and desmoplakin in ESCC samples (p=0.000), implying that the expression of desmosomal components might be regulated by the same upstream regulatory molecules. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that DSG3 may be involved in the progression of ESCC and serve as a prognostic marker, while expression of DSG2 cannot be used as a predictor of ESCC patient outcome.

Dynamic Compression Behavior of a Mg–Gd-Based Alloy at Elevated Temperature
Changping Tang,Kai Wu,Wenhui Liu,Di Feng,Guoliang Zuo,Wuying Liang,Yue Yang,Xu Chen,Quan Li,Xiao Liu 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.6
The dynamic compression behavior and microstructure evolution at 400 °C of an extruded Mg–8Gd–4Y–Nd–Zr alloy withdifferent tempers were investigated. The peak-aged samples exhibit the highest compressive strength, followed by as-extrudedsamples and over-aged samples. The highest dynamic compressive strength of 582 MPa was achieved by peak-aged samplecompressed at 1224 s−1. The high strength was attributed to the formation of abundant thermally stable βʹ precipitates andsome dynamic precipitates. The dynamic compressive strength of peak-aged sample and over-aged sample is not sensitiveto strain rates, while that of the as-extruded sample is sensitive to strain rates. The dynamic compressive strength of the asextrudedalloy can reach 535 MPa when compressed at 2024 s−1. The high strength was mainly ascribed to the formationof numerous dynamic precipitates and the work hardening effect caused by dislocations. The cracks are composed of crackthat is 45° to loading direction on the cylindrical surface and crack on the compressed surface. Microstructure observationindicates that the crack was easily propagated along the interface between the adiabatic shear band and matrix, grainboundaries. The equilibrium phase β in over-aged sample was unable to hinder the crack propagation.
