MODIS 16-Day Albedo 자료를 이용한 동북아시아 지역의 토지피복 별 알베도 변화 분석

박은빈 ( Eun Bin Park ),한경수 ( Kyung Soo Han ),이창석 ( Chang Suk Lee ),피경진 ( Kyung Jin Pi ) 대한원격탐사학회 2012 大韓遠隔探査學會誌 Vol.28 No.5

Albedo is known as a factor that directly impacts on the surface energy balance one of the elements of earth radiation balance. The change of albedo includes the change of soil moisture, vegetation, solar zenith angle, snow, and so on. In addition, it operates as a crucial path to understanding feedback mechanisms between radiation balance and its influence on climate and vegetation dynamics and therefore, observing the variation of albedo is a one of the essential procedures for anticipating climate change. In this study, we used MODIS 16-Day composited Albedo data from 2001 to 2011 years with the purpose of observing the change of albedo over Northeast Asia. According to the tendency of albedo for 11 years, albedo in the area of an active vegetation has increased in near-infrared (NIR) domain and decreased in visible (VIS) domain. On the basis of local changes in vegetation in 2002, the both area of the Gobi Desert and the Manchuria was enormously changed and chosen the research area and furthermore, the vegetation of both regions had deteriorated due to the change of the minimum value since 2010.

노인운동의 변화단계에 따른 의사결정 균형에 대한 연구

        김소인,전영자,박은숙,김순용,장성옥,이평숙,이숙자 성인간호학회 2000 성인간호학회지 Vol.12 No.1

Purpose : This study was carried out to identify the factor of decisional balance for exercise. This was composed of a set of variables at the level of decision making when the elderly decide to do exercise. It was used to classify and identify the characteristics of the stages of change for exercise to which the elderly belong, and was used to identify the variables of decisional balance which influence the stage of change for exercise in the elderly. Methods : Convenient samples of 198 subjects over age 60 in Seoul(mean age=70) were selected from community living, mentally competent older adults and the data was collected from April 1, 1999 to May 31, 1999. The research instrument was the Decisional Balance Measure for Exercise(Marcus & Owen., 1992), Stage of Change Measure(Marcus et al, 1992). The data was analyzed by SAS Program. Results: 1. According to stage of change measure, without missing data, 191 subjects were distributed in each stage of change for exercise : 50 subjects(26.1%), 7 subjects(3.6%), 52 subjects(27.2%), 4 subjects(2%), and 78 subjects(40.8%) belonged to the pre-contemplation stage, contemplation stage, preparation stage, action stage and maintenance stage. 2. Factor analysis identified 3 factors of decisional balance as appropriate factors for excise of the elderly and named by researchers; 1)'Perceived Physical-psychological benefit', 2)'Perceived Physical-psychological burden', and 3)'Perceived time burden'. 3. The analysis of variance showed that the two components Perceived Physical - psychological benefit(F=45.95, p=.0001), and Perceived Physical-psychological burden(F=26.52, P=.001) were significantly associated with stage of change. 4. Through the discriminant analysis, it was found that both 'Self Perceived Physical-Psychological benefit' and 'Perceived Physical-Psychological burden' were the influential variables in discriminating the three stages of change(pre-contemplation, preparation, and maintenance). Conclusion: Results are consistent with the application of the Transtheoretical model, which has been used to understand how people change health behaviors. Even though this study is a cross-sectional, not a longitudinal study, the findings of this study give useful information for exercise intervention about especially the factors relating to decision making for exercise of the elderly in the different stages of change of exercise.

      • Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Korean Wheat Cultivars Using Microsatellite DNA Polymorphisms

        Park,Yong-Jin,Cho,Gyu-Taek,Ma,Kyung-Ho,Lee,Sok-Young,Lee,Jung-Ro,Kim,Young-Chang,Cho,Eun-Gi,Kim Chang-Yung,Nam,Jung-Hyun,Rao,V,Ramanatha,Kang,Hee-Kyoung 한국자원식물학회 2004 Plant Resources Vol.7 No.2

Genetic background and phylogenetic relationships among 20 Korean wheat cultivars were assessed using microsatellites after amplifying with 13 SSR primer pairs. Average allele number per primer pair was 3.36. Genetic similarities for every pair of cultivars ranged from 0.42 to 0.97, with 0.69 of overall average. Korean cultivars were divided into two major groups based on microsatellite DNA polymorphisms. Group I consisted of relatively old cultivars developed until 1970s, and group II contained the recent cultivars developed during 1980s and 1990s. Amongst old elite cultivars/lines, ‘Yukseung 3’, ‘Norin 12’ and ‘Norin 72’ contributed most to the genetic background of cultivars belonging to group I, and ‘Norin 4’, ‘Norin 12’, ‘Norin 43’ and ‘Norin 72’ to group II, respectively. The phylogenetic relationship of Korean wheat cultivars was in accordance with the genealogical data of each cultivar. The genetic background of each cultivar was assessed from the point of breeding and germplasm management such as variety identification and duplicated accessions for assisting in developing a system for the registration of new variety based on the molecular characterization in future.

Stable p-type properties of single walled carbon nanotubes by electrochemical doping

Park, Chang-Soo,Lee, Cheol Jin,Kim, Eun Kyu The Royal Society of Chemistry 2015 Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics Vol.17 No.25

<P>We report a highly stable p-type doping for single walled carbon nanotubes using an electrochemical method. The Raman spectroscopy showed the upshift of the G-band when the applied potential increased. Furthermore, the carbon core level shifted as much as 0.14 eV in binding energy of XPS measurement, which is an evidence of p-type doping with a Fermi level change. The highly doped SWCNTs at an applied potential of 1.5 V during the electrochemical doping process showed long time stability, as long as 28 days.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>We report a highly stable p-type doping for single walled carbon nanotubes using an electrochemical method. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c5cp01667c'> </P>

Sensitivity analysis of satellite-retrieved SST using IR data from COMS/MI

        Park, Eun-Bin,Han, Kyung-Soo,Ryu, Jae-Hyun,Lee, Chang-Suk The Korean Society of Remote Sensing 2013 大韓遠隔探査學會誌 Vol.29 No.6

Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is the temperature close to the ocean's surface and affects the Earth's atmosphere as an important parameter for the climate circulation and change. The SST from satellite still has biases from the error in specifying retrieval coefficients from either forward modeling or instrumental biases. So in this paper, we performed sensitivity analysis using input parameter of the SST to notice that the SST is most affected among the input parameter. We used Infrared (IR) data from the Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS)/Meteorological Imager (MI) from April 2011 to March 2012. We also used the Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) correction to quality of the IR data from COMS. SST was calculated by substituting the input parameters; IR data with or without the GSICS correction. The results of this sensitivity analysis, the SST was sensitive from -0.0403 to 0.2743 K when the IR data were changed by the GSICS corrections.

Interferon-γ Inhibits in vitro Mobilization of Eosinophils by Interleukin-5

Park, Choon-Sik,Choi, Eun Nam,Kim, Jung Sun,Choi, Yun Sung,Rhim, Tai Youn,Chang, Hun Soo,Chung, Il Yup S. Karger AG 2005 International archives of allergy and immunology Vol.136 No.3

<P><I>Background:</I> Th2 cytokines play pivotal roles in allergic inflammation, including eosinophilia, and their actions are antagonized by Th1 cytokines, conferring them therapeutic potential. <I>Methods:</I> In this study, we examined the ability of a number of cytokines to suppress the activation of eosinophils that function as effector cells for allergic airway diseases. <I>Results:</I> Interleukin (IL)-5, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) induced an eosinophil shape change, whereas interferon (IFN)-γ significantly inhibited the shape change. Other cytokines, including IL-1β, IL-4, IL-10 and IL-13, had little or only slightly enhancing or reducing effects on the shape change. We further analyzed the IFN-γ effect, showing that pretreatment with IFN-γ strongly suppressed IL-5-induced eosinophil shape change, and cycloheximide (CHX) abrogated the suppression by IFN-γ, suggesting that new protein synthesis is required for the inhibitory effect by this cytokine. In agreement with these results, IFN-γ blocked the eosinophil migration and ERK phophorylation induced by IL-5, and the addition of CHX restored eosinophil chemotaxis. <I>Conclusions:</I> Collectively, IFN-γ may attenuate eosinophilic inflammation by directly negating eosinophil mobilization.</P><P>Copyright © 2005 S. Biotransformation of major ginsenosides in ginsenoside model culture by lactic acid bacteria

        Park, Seong-Eun,Na, Chang-Su,Yoo, Seon-A,Seo, Seung-Ho,Son, Hong-Seok The Korean Society of Ginseng 2017 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.41 No.1

Background: Some differences have been reported in the biotransformation of ginsenosides, probably due to the types of materials used such as ginseng, enzymes, and microorganisms. Moreover, most microorganisms used for transforming ginsenosides do not meet food-grade standards. We investigated the statistical conversion rate of major ginsenosides in ginsenosides model culture during fermentation by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) to estimate possible pathways. Methods: Ginsenosides standard mix was used as a model culture to facilitate clear identification of the metabolic changes. Changes in eight ginsenosides (Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, Re, Rf, Rg1, and Rg2) during fermentation with six strains of LAB were investigated. Results: In most cases, the residual ginsenoside level decreased by 5.9-36.8% compared with the initial ginsenoside level. Ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rc, and Re continuously decreased during fermentation. By contrast, Rd was maintained or slightly increased after 1 d of fermentation. Rg1 and Rg2 reached their lowest values after 1-2 d of fermentation, and then began to increase gradually. The conversion of Rd, Rg1, and Rg2 into smaller deglycosylated forms was more rapid than that of Rd from Rb1, Rb2, and Rc, as well as that of Rg1 and Rg2 from Re during the first 2 d of fermentation with LAB. Conclusion: Ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rc, and Re continuously decreased, whereas ginsenosides Rd, Rg1, and Rg2 increased after 1-2 d of fermentation. This study may provide new insights into the metabolism of ginsenosides and can clarify the metabolic changes in ginsenosides biotransformed by LAB.

만성 신부전증 환자의 중증 고혈당에 따른 의식변화 결핍에 대한 연구

박은주,강성귀,한상웅,김호중,이창범,임천규,박성광,윤경택,위형중,안유헌 대한신장학회 2000 Kidney Research and Clinical Practice Vol.19 No.6

In diabetic patients who were being treated with hemodialysis, coma and other neurological deficits did not occur in spite of extremely elevated serum glucose levels. In this report, we compared diabetic patients with renal failure in severe hyperglycemia with nonketotic hyperosmolar coma patients with normal renal function to know what affect mental changes. Mental changes were not present in diabetic patients with renal failure. These patients with renal failure showed more severe hyperglycemia, but corrected serum sodium concentration and calculated effective serum osmolality were low. So it is suggested that corrected serum sodium concentration and effective serum osmolality are more important factor affecting mental changes than high blood glucose levels in diabetic patients with renal failure, due to absence of osmotic diuresis.
