        당밀의 첨가가 갈근탕박 사일리지의 품질과 산양의 기호성에 미치는 영향

        Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of molasses supplementation to silage materials in ensiling Galgeuntang (herbal medicine) meal on the quality of silage, and its palatability in Korean native goats. In experiment Ⅰ, molasses was added at the levels of 0, 0.5, and 1.0% to Galgeuntang meal with three replicates per treatment. In experiment Ⅱ, three 1.5-yr-old Korean native goats were used to measure palatability. In experiment Ⅰ, lactic acid contents in molasses treatments were significantly(p<0.05) higher, and pH and butyric acid contents were lower than those of non-molasses treatment. In addition, molasses treatment increased total microbial cell counts in MRS medium for lactobacillus, but decreased total microbial cell counts in PDA medium for fungi. Molasses supplementation to silage materials increased in vitro dry matter disappearance. Molasses supplementation tended to increase silage intake in Korean native goat (experiment Ⅱ), but the difference was not significant(p>0.05). It is concluded that molasses supplementation to silage materials in ensiling herbal medicine meal could improve its preservability and palatability, the higher the better.

        광중합형 구치부 수복재료의 중합수축량과 중합수축력

        The purpose of present study was to evaluate the polymerization shrinkage stress and amount of linear shrinkage of composites and compomers for posterior restoration. For this purpose, linear polymerization shrinkage and polymerization stress were measured. For linear polymerization shrinkage and polymerization stress measurement, custom made Linometer (R&B, Daejon, Korea) and Stress measuring machine was used (R&B, Daejon, Korea). Compositers and compomers were evaluated; Dyract AP (Dentsply Detrey, Gumbh, German) Z100 (3M Dental Products, St. Paul, USA) Pyramid (Bisco, Schaumburg, USA) Synergy Compact (Coltene, Altstatten, Switzerland), Heliomolar (Vivadent/Ivoclar, Liechtenstein), and Compoglass (Vivadent Ivoclar/Liechtenstein) were used. 15 measurements were made for each material. Linear polymerization shrinkage or polymerization stress for each material was compared with one way ANOVA with Tukey at 95% levels of confidence.         대전광역시 양축농가의 축분뇨 관리 실태 및 VOCs 농도 조사

        This study was carried out to investigate the style of livestock house, concentration of malodorous substances of livestock feces and livestock houses in Daejeon area. Among the livestock houses investigated, as most of cow pens(94.5%) have sawdust or chaff on the bottom, there was no leakage of feces out of pen. Most pig pens adopted slury style, but some of them currently use buffering material on the bottom. It is thought that there will be no possible contamination leakage. When it comes to hen house, all the broiler house use litters on the bottom and all the layer house use scrapper. It is also thought that there will be no possible contamination leakage. 3 out of 12 deer pens used buffering material on the bottom, 10 places were maintained in a traditional method, and 7 places left possibility of contamination leakage considering whether the roof was installed or not. The contents of ammonia, amine and volatile fatty acid in fresh feces were lower compared to rotten feces, but the concentration of sulfur-containing matter - hydrogen sulfide, methylmercapthan and ethylmercapthan were higher compared to rotten feces. In the case of malodorous ingredient in livestock houses, only small amount of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide were detected in pig pen and hen house, and other ingredients were not detectable. And those who are engaged in animal husbandry reacted negatively to the use of feed additives for decreasing malodor. In conclusion, it is not worrisome that contamination can be leaked out of animal raising facilities. But if we take into consideration that the point of investigation time is wintry season, there should be more considerate attitude. And feed additives for decreasing malodor need establishing criteria in the manufacturing process.

      • 국내에서 유행하는 HIV의 전파 경로에 따른 Subtype 분포

        Background : Previous data have been reported that subtype B is prevalent in South Korea, but neither the extent nor the proportion of subtypes could be evaluated. This study was designed to analyze the distribution of HIV-1 subtypes, temporal instructions and transmission dynamics between epidemiological groups. Methods : 1,280 Koreans had been diagnosed as HIV seropositive during the period 1985 to 2000. Among them, 134 individuals were selected for this molecular epidemiological study. 134 DNAs were isolated from uncultured or cultured peripheral blood mononuclear cells. V3-V5 (0.7 kb) fragment of HIV-1 env gene was amplified by nested polymerase chain reaction and was sequenced. Results : HIV-1 isolates from thirty-seven homosexuals were all subtype B (100%). On the other hand, 66 isolates from 94 heterosexuals were subtype B (70%) and 28 were non B subtypes (30% : 13 A, 4 C, 2 D, 8 E , 1 G). Only subtype B strains were isolated from 73 males who were infected with HIV inside Korea while 16 B and 20 non B subtype strains were isolated from 36 males who were HIV infected outside of Korea. However, B and non B strains were isolated half and half from females who were infected inside Korea except one. Conclusion : The HIV-1 subtype B strains are prevalent in Korea from the early HIV infection until present in both homo and heterosexuals. Non B strains have been transmitted from men who were infected outside Korea to their spouses and casual partners. So, we need further study to monitor subtype B and non B HIV transmission in epidemiological groups of Korea, (Korean J Infect Dis 33:311∼318, 2001)

      • Sc₂O₃를 첨가한 SnO₂/Ca,Pt 가스센서의 부탄감응 특성

        A coprecipitation method was used for preparing Ca and Pt doped SnO_(2) powder. Components were investigated by XRD and SEM. Sc_(2)O_(3) added SnO_(2) /Ca,Pt thick film devices were fabricated by screen printing technique for butane gas detecting. By addition of Sc_(2)O_(3), the selectivity of SnO_(2) /Ca,Pt thick film for butane gas was enhanced. The sensitivity of Sc_(2)O_(3) added SnO_(2) /Ca,Pt device to 3,000 ppm butane in air was about 90% at the operating temperature. of 200℃. And the device showed good selectivity for butane gas.

        In the midst of rapid cultural and 7rtistic changes with the tuts of the century, postmodernism is exerting great influence on the value and trends of arts. Many artists are making utmost efforts in order to overcome ambiguity and confusion caused by these changes, Analysis of the works and philosophy of prominent fashion designers provides insight into the influence of postmodernism to the creation of modern arts including fashion. This paper attempts to explore how pluralism, one of the most important features of postmodernism, has given impact to the modern fashion design. Fashion trend and works of Paco Rabanne were reviewed with particular emphasis on pluralistic expressions in his fashion creation. It was found that Paco Rabanne's diversified and innovative use of materials and design methods were possible due to the influence of pluralism. It is anticipated that this trend will be observed in the various forms of arts with the further analysis of fashion designers and artists.

        치과용 콘빔CT영상에서 총의치 장착 후 하악과두의 위치변화

        Purpose : The aim of this study was to evaluate the change in the position of the mandibular condyle within articular fossa by a CBCT after wearing complete denture (CD). Materials and Methods : CBCT of 34 temporomandibular joints were taken from 9 male and 8 female patients with CB Mercuray (Hitachi, Japan) before and after wearing a CD for rehabilitation. Position of mandibular condyle within articular fossa at centric occlusion was evaluated with Vimplant2.0(CyberMed, Korea) on the central parasagittal view and curved panoramic coronal view of the condylar head. A statistical evaluation was done with SPSS. Results : The range of anteroposterior positional rate (AP) of condylar head within articular fossa was -16-5 and -10-12 respectively on the right and left sides. Before wearing CD, the AP rate showed discrepancy between right and left sides (p<0.05). After wearing CD, both condyles showed a tendency to decrease in posterior condylar position (right side; p<0.05). The average discrepancy between right and left side in mediolateral positional rate (MD) was 15.5 and 4.5 respectively before and after wearing CD. The improvement was observed in mediolateral relationship of both condylar heads after wearing CD (p<0.01). Before wearing CD, the average horizontal angle of long axis of condylar head was 79.6±2.7˚and 80.1±5.7˚ respectively on the right and left sides. After wearing CD, both condyles were rotated in the same direction in average on axial plane. Conclusion : We observed with CBCT the significant clinical evidence in case of positional change of mandibular condyle after wearing complete denture.

        SnO_2 열산화감지막의 제작 및 특성

        본 논문에서는 새로운 방식의 금속 산화물 감지막의 형성 기술에 대해서 제안을 하였다. Sn 증착을 위해 사용된 기판은 Pt 전극을 가진 실리콘 웨이퍼를 이용하였다. 증착 방식은 금속 Sn이 연속적인 막이 아닌 island로만 형성된 상태로 하였다. 제안된 방식의 최적의 Sn 증착 조건을 구하기 위해 Pt 전극간의 저항이 1 kΩ, 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ 및 50 kΩ이 되도록 Sn을 증착하여 시료를 제작하였다. 또한 일반적인 방식과 새롭게 제안된 방식의 시료를 비교하기 위해서 Sn 막의 두께가 1,500 Å인 시료를 준비하였다. 이것들을 700℃의 산소분위기에서 3시간 동안 산화를 하여 SnO_2를 형성하였다. 산화물 감지막들의 특성 평가를 위해서 SEM, XRD 및 AFM을 이용하였다. 분석을 통하여 10kΩ의 시료(300 Å)가 최적의 감지막 증착 조건임을 알았다. 또한 제조된 감지막을 다양한 농도의 부탄, 프로판 및 일산화탄소에 대해서 동작온도 250 ℃, 300 ℃ 및 350 ℃ 의 경우에 대해서 측정하였다. 그 결과 촉매를 첨가하지 않았음에도 불구하고 모든 가스에 대한 높은 감도 특성을 나타내었다. New formation technique of metal of oxide sensing film was proposed in this paper. Silicon wafer with Pt electrodes was used as a substrate for depositing metal Sn film. Metal Sn was deposited in the state of not continuous film but only island state. The samples were prepared to obtain the optimal condition of metal Sn deposition. The resistances of deposited Sn onto Pt electrodes amounted to 1 kΩ, 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ and 50 kΩ, respectively. Also The sample with 1,500 Å thickness of Sn was prepared in order to compare sensing properties between conventional type and proposing type. After deposition of metal Sn, SnO_2 was formed by thermal oxidation method for 3 hrs. in O_2 ambient at 700℃. Surface morphology, crystal structure and surface roughness of oxidized-sensing film were examined by SEM, XRD, and AFM, respectively. From the results of these analyses, the optimal deposition condition of Sn was that the Pt electrode resistance became 10 kΩ (300 Å). Also, the sensing characteristics of fabricated sensing film for various concentrations of butane, propane and carbon monoxide gases were measured at the operating temperatures of 250 ℃, 300 ℃ and 350 ℃, respectively. Although catalyst was not added to the sensing film, it has exhibited the high sensitivity to all the test gases.

      • 전도성 충전물을 이용한 도전성 판재의 제조기술 개발

        As an effort of developing efficient materials for shielding EM waves, a fibrous sheet for shielding EMI is developed by adding conductive filler to fibrous sheet during hardening process. From the aspect that the conductivity is inversely proportional to the square value of the length of added material, the conductive filler is fabricated by electroless plating with nickel and copper to the polymer textile power which has very high anisotropy. The conducting sheet was also fabricated by applying proper amount of highly efficient conductive filler to the fibrous sheet. The results obtained by measuring the shielding characteristics of 1㎒∼1㎓ frequency range showed the EMI suppressing effectiveness of 10∼20 ㏈.
