차량과 노변기지국간 전용 무선 데이터 통신을 이용한 차량위치 추적 시스템

본 논문에서는 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) 시스템을 이용하여 이동하는 차량에 탑재된 단말장치(OBE : On-Board Equipment)와 도로변에 설치된 기지국 장치(RSE : Road-Side Equipment) 사이에 5.8GHz대 ISM대역의 주파수를 사용한 무선패킷통신방식을 통한 차량위치 추적 시스템을 제안한다. 기존의 차량 위치 추적 방식은 차량위치를 파악하여 차량위치를 센터와 사용자에게 전송하는 무선 통신방식으로 단순한 센서만 사용되었지만, 본 시스템은 차량의 위치, 통관, 차량간 통신, 교통정보 수집 및 분배 등의 다양한 업무를 수행하도록 개발되었다. 또한, 빠른 처리를 위해 통신 계층 중 물리, 데이터링크, 응용계층으로 설계하여, 기존의 무선 통신방식 및 센서를 대처할 새로운 기술로 제안한다. In this paper, we propose an AVLS(Automatic Vehicle Location System) using the DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) which adopts a radio communication tool between RSE(Road-Side Equipment) and OBE(On-Board Equipment) on a vehicle and uses the ISM bandwidth of 5.8GHz radio frequency. Typical AVLS uses the sensors for detecting the vehicle, but the DSRC system is developed for supporting various services such as the position of vehicle, clearance, vehicle to vehicle communication, collection and distributions of traffic and road information. Also, for fast processing, we design three-layer configuration of physical(L1), data link(L2), and application layer (L7), which simplifies the seven-layer configuration, We suggest the proposed system as a new technology for replacement of typical wireless communication system and sensors for AVLS.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2a(MEN 2a) is autosomal dominant disorders arising from mutations on chromosome 10q11.2 in the region of the RET proto-oncogenes which encodes a receptor tyrosine kinase. The features of MEN 2a include pheochromocytoma (in about 40% of gene carriers), medullary thyroid carcinoma, primary hyperparathyroidism (adenoma or hyperplasia). Carriers of MEN 2a genes can best be identified by serial measurement of stimulated blood calcitonin levels. Recent advances in mapping the MEN 2a gene now allows direct genetic testing, replacing calcitonin testing as a screening tool. We experienced a case of MEN 2a in a 35-year-old female patient. She underwent total thyroidectomy nine years ago due to medullary thyroid carcinoma. The pheochromocytoma, which was detected by biochemical tests, CT scan and ^131I-MIBG scan was successfully removed by bilateral adrenalectomy with preoperative alpha and beta adrenergic blockades. Her blood pressure and blood sugar level became normal after operation.
Sleep Problems and Daytime Sleepiness in Children with Nocturnal Enuresis

Purpose: Nocturnal enuresis (NE) is one of the most common problems in childhood. NE has a multifactorial etiology and is influenced by sleep and arousal mechanisms. The aim of the present study was to prospectively evaluate sleep problems and patterns in children with NE compared with normal healthy controls. Methods: Twenty-eight children with NE and 16 healthy controls were included in the study. To evaluate sleep habits and disturbances, parents and children filled out a questionnaire that included items about sleep patterns and sleep-related behaviors prior to treatment for NE. Demographic factors and other data were compared for the two groups based on the responses to the sleep questionnaire. Results: Night awakening, sleepwalking, and periodic limb movements were more prevalent in children with NE, but symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing were not increased in this group. There were statistically significant differences in periodic limb movements and daytime sleepiness between the two groups. Conclusion: Children with NE seemed to have more sleep problems such as night awakening, sleepwalking, and periodic limb movements. In addition, a higher level of daytime sleepiness and hyperactivity in patients with NE suggested a relationship between NE and sleep disorders.
Reinforcement of the Magnetic Lens Effect in the Dipole Magnet for a Neutral Beam Injector

Dipole magnet for a neutral beam injector is a magnetic device deflecting residual ions to an ion dump. For the high power neutral beam injection to fusion plasma, the heat load on the surface of the residual ion dump should be under acceptable level. We investigate the magnetic lens effect of the bending magnet for beam expansion cases. To intensify the magnetic lens effect, the height of the field clamp in the magnetic core is adjusted. The COMSOL Multiphysics software is employed to calculate a magnetic flux density for the dipole magnet, to trace an ion beam trajectory, and to evaluate a heat distribution on the beam dump. Simulation results reveal that the longitudinal magnetic field at the magnet entrance has a significant effect on the heat distribution in the ion dump surface, and hence the local heat flux is considerably alleviated by the field clamp with adjusting the height of the clamp.
Radiotherapy diagnostic biomarkers in radioresistant human H460 lung cancer stem-like cells

<P><B>ABSTRACT</B></P><P>Tumor cell radioresistance is a major contributor to radiotherapy failure, highlighting the importance of identifying predictive biomarkers for radioresistance. In this work, we established a radioresistant H460 (RR-H460) cell line from parental radiosensitive H460 lung cancer cells by exposure to fractionated radiation. The radiation-resistant, anti-apoptotic phenotype of RR-H460 cell lines was confirmed by their enhanced clonogenic survival and increased expression of the radioresistance genes Hsp90 and Her-3. RR-H460 cells displayed characteristics of cancer stem-like cells (CSCs), including induction of the surface marker CD44 and stem cell markers Nanog, Oct4, and Sox2. RR-H460 cells also exhibited sphere formation and malignant behavior, further supporting a CSC phenotype. Using proteomic analyses, we identified 8 proteins that were up-regulated in RR-H460 CSC lines and therefore potentially involved in radioresistance and CSC-related biological processes. Notably, 4 of these—PAI-2, NOMO2, KLC4, and PLOD3—have not been previously linked to radioresistance. Depletion of these individual genes sensitized RR-H460 cells to radiotoxicity and additively enhancing radiation-induced apoptosis. Our findings suggest the possibility of integrating molecular targeted therapy with radiotherapy as a strategy for resolving the radioresistance of lung tumors.</P>

The aim of this paper is to examine the determinants of residents’ satisfaction and place attachment in the Process of Street Revitalization Project. The factor analysis and stepwise regression are employed as the empirical analysis on resident s satisfaction and place attachment through the case of Apsan Food Street, in Daegu metropolitan city. The major findings are as follows; First, they are the most satisfied with pedestrian-friendly road in items of physical plan and less satisfied with most of program items than items of physical plan. they all are satisfied with all of items In resident participation and all role players in the Process of Street Revitalization Project. Second, they are satisfied with all the result of the street revitalization project, especially, change to pedestrian-friendly road and their own community as well as the process of resident participation and the revenue after the project. The last, the influence factors in residents Satisfaction and Place Attachment are Resident Participation Factor , Role-Player Factor And Physical Plan Factor by factor and regression analysis. Going forward, this research will help us better understand these revitalization projects and find new ways to improve resident satisfaction and place attachment.

This experiment was carried out to clarify the dyeability of pear flower for pressed flower by edible pigments and to investigate into the utilization of cut branches in the developing aspect of interior landscaping properties. Cur branches of pears in bloomed buds were immersed in the edible yellow pigments in terms of 0.1%, 0.5% and 1.0% solutions. In the higher concentrations of the dyeing solutions and the longer dyeing periods, the values of ΔE* and b* increased by 10.8 to 83.3, and 11.04 to 84.26. Those dyeability dyed with the blue pigments of dyeing solution showed the same tendencies to that of yellow pigments, however, the value of b* were -0.8 to -31.1. Cut pear branches in buds immersed in the yellow and the blue solutions for 45 minutes were normally bloomed of yellow and blue colors. The dyeability of cut branches in buds immersed for 90 to 120 minutes decreased much more than that dyed immediately after cutting. And, the dyeability of cut branches with pear flowers immersed in dyeing solution for 120 minutes decreased greatly than that for 90 minutes.
