        Effect of Highly Pressurized Hydrogen Gas Charging on the Hydrogen Embrittlement of API X70 Steel

        During the use of API X70 steel as a pipeline structural material for the transportation of natural gas,hydrogen embrittlement can occur due to the hydrogen contained in natural gas. The aim of this study is toinvestigate the effects of the hydrogen content under high-pressure hydrogen gas conditions on the hydrogenembrittlement of air-cooled API X70 steel. The air-cooled API X70 steel was manufactured by hot rollingand was then air-cooled to room temperature. Tensile test specimens were held for 0 h, 1000 h, and 2000 hwithin a pressure vessel filled with 100% hydrogen gas at a gas pressure of 10 MPa, with the tensile teststhen performed at room temperature. The microstructure of the API X70 steel consists of coarse polygonalferrite, coarse pearlite, and fine acicular ferrite. The yield and tensile strength increased and elongationdecreased considerably after a holding time of 2000 h compared to those of 0 h and 1000 h within the pressurevessel. The morphology of the fracture surface changed from ductile to brittle upon hydrogen gas charging. Secondary cracks were observed in both of the hydrogen-gas-charged specimens. No external cracks wereformed on the surface of the tensile-tested specimen with a 0 h holding time; however, many external crackswere observed on the specimen surface subjected to hydrogen gas charging.

        現金흐름 情報와 所有乖離度의 關係에 관한 實證 硏究

        본 연구는 企業의 所有乖離度가 해당 企業의 현금흐름과 企業價値에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 分析하였다. 企業의 현금흐름에 영향을 미치는 외국인지분율과 硏究開發費가 현금흐름과 企業價値에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해서도 分析함으로써, 기존 先行硏究 結果와 차이점이 있는지에 대해서도 分析하였다. 分析結果, 企業의 所有乖離度와 해당 企業의 현금흐름 간에는 유의한 음(-)의 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타나 企業의 대주주 1인 지분율을 제외한 나머지 지분율이 증가할수록 해당 企業의 현금흐름이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 최대지분의 형식적인 지분율과 특수관계인을 이용한 실제 지분율과의 차이(所有乖離度)가 증가할수록 해당 企業의 현금흐름이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 分析結果는 企業價値에 대해서도 유의한 陰(-)의 관련성을 보임으로써 배임가설을 뒷받침한다. 硏究開發費와 현금흐름 간에는 유의한 陽(+)의 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타나 硏究開發費가 증가할수록 해당 企業의 경쟁력이 강화되어 企業 經營에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 企業의 현금흐름에 영향을 미치는 외국인지분율과 硏究開發費가 현금흐름 및 企業價値에 미치는 영향에 대한 分析 結果 외국인지분율과 현금흐름 간에는 유의한 陽(+)의 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 分析結果는 외국인지분율이 높아질수록 해당 企業에 대한 감시 효과가 높아져 企業 경영에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구 結果는 所有乖離度와 현금흐름과의 관련성에 대해 통계적 分析방법으로 실증 分析하였다는 데에 의의가 있으며, 所有乖離度와 企業價値와의 관련성에 대해서도 실증 分析함으로써 投資者와 債權者 같은 會計情報 이용자들에게 有用한 情報가 될 수 있다. The result, with possession estranged degree of the enterprise the cash of the corresponding enterprise flowing, goes to the sound which considers (-) relation with charge, large stockholder 1 of the enterprise the cash of the recording corresponding enterprise where the remaining equity ratio which excepts the equity ratio which is will increase flowing, with the fact that decreases. Namely, difference of the actual equity ratio which uses the equity ratio which the maximum equity is formal and the special authorized personnel and (possession estrangement) flowing, the cash of the recording corresponding enterprise which will increase this decreases as the thing, the main share holder of the enterprise will be relationship of many uniqueness even on person oneself outside and the use which will listen, secures a more equity and affects in corporate management appearing negatively, (breach of duty construction) is showing. Also the sound which considers about also a business value as well (-) relation with charge, supports like this breach of duty construction more. And the cash of the enterprise to flowing, the foreigner equity ratio which is a variable which affects and the research and development elegy cash flowing, and researches even about affects in business value, that resultant foreigner equity ratio and the cash to flowing, between the sheep which considers (+) relation with charge, the foreigner equity ratio to be high watch effect comes to be high about the qualitative recording corresponding enterprise and affects is affirmative in corporate manage ment shows the result which agrees with an existing preceding research. Also research and development cost and the cash even to flowing between, the sheep which considers (+) with charge, research and development elegy the competitive power of the recording corresponding enterprise which will increase is strengthened a relation and affects is affirmative in corporate management shows the result which agrees with an existing preceding research.

      • 대상포진에 대한 한방 단독 치료 치험 2례

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a 67-year-old male patient with Herpes zoster(caseⅠ) and a 38-year-old female patient with Herpes zoster(caseⅡ), whose symptoms were relieved after Korean medicine treatment alone. Methods : Both patients took Yeonryeonggobondan and Pyungwee-san daily. Everytime they came to the hospital, they received acupuncture treatment, Hwidam's Su-Gi therapy and External Gigong Therapy. Acupuncture was applied by gall bladder seunggyeok(膽勝格, GB-), spleen jeonggyeok(脾正格, SP+), large intestine seunggyeok(大腸勝格, LI-) of Saam's Acupuncture Method. Hwidam's Su-Gi therapy was applied on neck. External Gigong Therapy was applied on skin lesion area. the patients' symptoms were evaluated with photographs and VAS. Results : The results were as follows: 1. In the case of a 67-year-old male patient, it took 14 days to recover the skin lesions and to reduce the pain after treatment started. And he visited 13 times during that period. 2. In the case of a 38-year-old female patient, it took 23 days to recover the skin lesions to reduce and the pain after treatment started. And she visited 10 times during that period. 3. Intensive treatment early in treating herpes zoster helped to shorten the treatment period. 4. Taking Yeonryeonggobondan and Pyungwee-san and receiving acupuncture treatment(SP+) can help to improve immunity and recover skin lesions in herpes zoster diagnosed with spleen deficiency with dampness encumbrance(脾虛濕困) and blood stasis due to qi stagnation(氣滯血瘀). 5. The combination of acupuncture treatment(GB-) and External Gigong Therapy was effective in controlling pain. 6. External Gigong Therapy is considered to be effective for the recovery of the skin as well as the pain of the herpes zoster. Conclusions : Korean medicine treatment alone has a great effect on the above two patients with herpes zoster. I hope the active research about Korean medicine treatment will be done not only for herpes zoster but also for various intractable pain diseases.

        Photodynamic Effects of Radachlorin on Cervical Cancer Cells

        Purpose: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a novel treatment modality, which produces local tissue necrosis with laser light following the prior administration of a photosensitizing agent. Radachlorin has recently been shown to be a promising PDT sensitizer. In order to elucidate the antitumor effects of PDT using Radachlorin on cervical cancer, growth inhibition studies on a HPV-associated tumor cell line, TC-1 cells in vitro and animals with an established TC-1 tumor in vivo were determined. Materials and methods: TC-1 tumor cells were exposed to various concentrations of Radachlorin and PDT, with irradiation of 12.5 or 25 J/cm2 at an irradiance of 20 mW/cm2 using a Won-PDT D662 laser at 662 nm in vitro. C57BL/6 mice with TC-1 tumor were injected with Radachlorin via different routes and treated with PDT in vivo. A growth suppression study was then used to evaluate the effects at various time points after PDT. Results: The results showed that irradiation of TC-1 tumor cells in the presence of Radachlorin induced significant cell growth inhibition. Animals with established TC-1 tumors exhibited significantly smaller tumor sizes over time when treated with Radachlorin and irradiation. Conclusion: PDT after the application of Radachlorin appears to be effective against TC-1 tumors both in vitro and in vivo.(Cancer Res Treat. 2004;36:389-394)

        Effect of Sesbania Incorporation as Nitrogen Source on Growth and Yield of Whole Crop Barley and Reduction of N Fertilizer in Saemangeum Reclaimed Tidal Land

        It is known that the poor soil fertility of newly reclaimed saline soils is due to the lack of organic matter and available mineral nutrients for crop production. The effect of green manuring with Sesbania aculeata in combination with five rates of urea-N treatments (N0. N25, N50, N75, N100) on the productivity of a subsequent whole-crop barley and the fertility of the reclaimed saline soil in Saemangeum was evaluated in the field during 2013-2014 growing season. Sesbania was grown during summer season (June to October). The amount of Sesbania incorporated was 16.2 Mg ha<SUP>-1</SUP>. Sesbania contributed to 393 kg N ha<SUP>-1</SUP> to the soils when ploughed down and incorporated before whole-crop barley cultivated. The performances of whole-crop barley following sesbania incorporation were significantly affected by a combination of Sesbania manuring and different N rates. The N fertilizer equivalence without N fertilizer following Sesbania was 42.6% (63.9 kgN ha<SUP>-1</SUP>), compared with N100(150 kg N ha<SUP>-1</SUP>) in fallow soils. The whole-crop barley yield responded to N fertilizer rates in both sesbaniaamended and fallow soil. The yield response to nitrogen rates in fallow soil was linear (Y=0.0586X+3.3011, R<SUP>2</SUP> =0.9534), whereas that in sesbania-amended soils was quadratic (Y= -0.001X<SUP>2</SUP>+0.1322X+5.7143, R<SUP>2</SUP>=0.9576). The yield of whole-crop barley in sesbania-amended with increasing N rates was increased up to SN75 (115 kgN) 10.3 Mg ha<SUP>-1</SUP>. Apparent N recovery (ANR) of whole-crop barely showed decreased with sesbania plus increasing rates of N fertilizer. Despite higher yield with sesbania manuring plus increasing N rates, the contributions of N from Sesbania with increasing N rates to whole-crop barley were decreased, whereas those from fertilizer increment due to excessively mineralized Nitrogen. Considering yield, ANR, N contribution from Sesbania and nitrogen fertilizer, the optimum N rate was N50 rate following sesbania incorporation.

        Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome Occurred after Esophagectomy: A Case Report

        Hemolytic uremic syndrome is an unusual and uncommon disease in adults but more common in children, which is defined by the triad of acute renal failure, thrombocytopenia, and microangiopathic hemolytic anemia. We report a 64-year-old man who developed hemolytic uremic syndrome after esophagectomy and esophagogastrostomy due to esophageal cancer. We treated him using continuous renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis with large volume fresh frozen plasma transfusion for 9 days. We could not find the cause of hemolytic uremic syndrome, and so finally concluded that it is idiopathic. Bleeding continuously without a particular reason after an operation, it needs an early diagnosis and treatment with considering a possibility of the hemolytic uremic syndrome.

        Photogem Induces Necrosis in Various Uterine Cervical Cancer Cell Lines by PDT

        Purpose: In order to elucidate the antitumor effect ofphotodynamic therapy (PDT), using a derivative of thephotosensitizing agent hematoporphyrin (Photogem) anda diode laser, the cell death of uterine cancer cell lines(CaSki, HT3, HeLa, and SKOV-3), and mice transplantedwith TC-1 lung cancer cells, were evaluated.Materials and Methods: The morphological changes,MTT assay, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity and tumorgrowth inhibition study were evaluated at various timeintervals after the PDT.Results: The results showed that the survival rates ofeach cell line decreased with time and dose responseafter performing the PDT. Also, the PDT-induced damageof cancer cells was almost entirely confined to necrosisof the tumor cells in the early time courses. The irradiationof CaSki cells in the presence of Photogem inducedplasma membrane disruption and cell shrinkage, indicatingthe plasma membrane as the main target forPhotogem. In the in vivo experiment, significantly longersurvival and a significantly smaller tumor size were seenover the time courses of the Photogem with irradiationcompared to the untreated control groups; resorption ofthe tumor was also observed after the PDT treatment.Conclusion: Collectively, our results indicated that Photogempossesses anti-tumor effects, and necrosis- likedeath, with plasma membrane damage, was postulated tobe the principal mechanism of the antitumor effect of thePDT using Photogem.
