Glucagon regulates glucose and fat metabolism as well as being involved in the production of ketone bodies. The new antidiabetic drug, a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor, increases glucagon, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization due to heart failure. The presence of metabolic syndrome is an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases(CVD) in type 2 diabetes(T2DM) patients. We, thus, investigated the association between glucagon levels and metabolic syndrome in T2DM patients. This cross-sectional study involved 317 T2DM patients. Fasting and postprandial (30 min after ingestion of a standard mixed meal) glucagon levels were measured. Metabolic syndrome was defined according to the criteria of the International Diabetes Federation. A multiple regression logistic analysis was employed for statistical evaluation. A total of 219 (69%) subjects had metabolic syndrome. The fasting and postprandial glucagon levels did not differ between the group with metabolic syndrome and the group without. Postprandial glucagon levels increased significantly with the increase in the number of metabolic syndrome components, but the fasting levels did not. However, a hierarchical logistic regression analysis revealed that the postprandial glucagon levels did not contribute significantly to metabolic syndrome even after adjusting for other covariates. Fasting and postprandial glucagon levels are not associated with metabolic syndrome in T2DM patients. However, further studies are needed to investigate the relationship between glucagon and cardiovascular risk in patients with T2DM.

최근 정보통신기술(ICT)산업이 국가핵심기술로 떠오르고 있는 실정에 맞춰 철도분야에서는 국가핵심산업의 발전을 위해「도시철도용 무선통신기반의 열차제어시스템 표준체계구축 및 성능평가 연구사업」1 단계를 2010 년부터 수행 중에 있다. 2014 년 1 단계 완료 후 일반철도 및 고속철도에 무선통신기반 철도시스템 연구개발 및 실용화를 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 국가철도통합무선망의 효율적인 도입을 위한 기술적, 정책적 기반조성이 요구되고 있고, 철도통합무선망 건설에 필요한 법령, 기준, 제도 등에 대한 검토를 통하여 이들에 대한 보완 방안의 마련과 함께 실용화 사업의 효율적 추진이 되어야 할 것이다. recently, Rail industry is implementing "study of performence evaluation and standard system making of wireless communication train control system based on city rail" to develop national core technology, with situation of ICT industry is magnified as national core technology. 2014, after 1st part finished, it is the goal that practical use and study of wireless communication based rail system on Railway and High Speed Railway technical and political foundation construction work is being asked to introduct KRTCSefficiently, It is necessary to promote efficient operation along with the practical preparation through the examination rule, standard, system such as the the necessary factors construction of KRTCS.

To enhance the performance and energy efficiency of electric vehicles, it is imperative to reduce aerodynamic drag. In this study, we devised exterior design improvements aimed at reducing the aerodynamic drag of an electric vehicle created for participation in a student engineering competition. Computational fluid dynamics analysis using SIMLAB was conducted to evaluate the impact of the exterior design on drag reduction compared to the baseline model.

The internal flow of the self-made electric vehicle air duct was optimized according to the number of guide vanes. Existing self-made cars had excessive motor heating problems while driving, and to solve this problem, air-cooled air ducts for self-made cars were designed. The design goal was to maximize the cooling effect by allowing as much flow rate to flow inside the air duct as possible, and the initial model was designed by combining design variables that affect the flow rate in the air duct within space constraints. Internal flow analysis was conducted using Altairs Simlab, and additional guide vanes were devised to remove eddy currents in the duct and control uniform flow. The results of internal flow analysis according to the number of guide vanes were analyzed, and the average flow value at the outlet surface of the air duct was extracted using Simlabs Acuprobe function, and the optimal number of guide vanes was eventually selected. Finally, the cooling effect of the optimal model of the air duct was verified through actual measurement, and ASA Plastic was manufactured in kind using a 3D printing technique.
