      • 아데노이드 및 구개편도 절제술이 비저항과 비강 내 Geometry에 미치는 영향

        수술 전 최소단면적이나 비강 부피는 아데노이드나 구개편도의 비대 정도와 상관관계를 보이지 않았으나 비저항은 아데노이드 비대 정도와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 구개편도 및 아데노이드 절제술 후 코막힘과 구호흡 증상의 유의한 호전을 보였다. 수술 후 비강의 최소단면적과 부피 등 nasal geometry는 통계적으로 유의한 변화가 없었으나 비저항은 수술 후 유의한 감소를 보였으며 수술 후 비저항의 감소 정도는 아데노이드 비대 정도와 유의한 상관 관계를 보였다 . 이상의 결과로 아데노이드와 구개편도의 비대를 보이는 소아에서 코막힘 증상을 일으키는 데는 아데노이드 비대가 주요 원인이 되며 주로 비강의 후방에 위치한 아데노이드의 mass effect에 의할 것으로 생각한다. The aim of this study was to determine whether adenoid or tonsillar hypertrophy and subsequent adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy affect pediatric nasal airway resistance and nasal geometry and to evaluate the relationships between the degree of hypertrophy and nasal airway resistance or nasal geometry. Thirty-two children, aged 3 to 15 years, selected for adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy due to chronic nasal obstruction and mouth breathing were enrolled. The size of adenoid was evaluated by cephalometric radiograph. The degree of tonsillar hypertrophy was graded clinically. Nasal airway resistance and nasal geometry was evaluated by active anterior rhinomanometry and acoustic rhinometry respectively. These measurements were repeated one month and three months post-operatively. The size of adenoid was found well correlated to preoperative nasal airway resistance. However, there were no correlations between the degree of tonsillar hypertrophy and preoperative nasal airway resistance or nasal geometry. Nasal geometry was not changed after operation. However, nasal airway resistance was reduced significantly at 3 months after operation and the size of adenoid was found well correlated to postoperative changes of nasal airway resistance.

      • 콩소메 수프(Consomme soup)의 조리학적 연구(1) : 조리방법에 관한 연구

        1. Beef consomme soup의 색상과 점성에 있어서는 consomme soup 과 double consomme soup 사이에 유의차가 높은 결과(p<0.001)를 나타내었다. 또한 쇠고기 냄새와 쇠고기 맛에서도 유의차(p<0.05)를 보였으며, 점성에 있어서는 상당히 유의차가 높았다(p<0.001). 그러나 전체적인 기호성에 있어서는 consomme soup과 double consomme soup 사이에 유의차가 나타나지 않았다. 관능 항목들간의 상관관계에 있어서는 야채와 향신료의 향이 진할수록 쇠고기의 맛을 더욱 느낄 수 있었으며, 쇠고기의 맛과 전체적인 기호도 사이에도 정의 상관관계를 보였다. 2. Chicken consomme soup에 있어 색상과 점성, 그리고 수프의 농도에 있어 consomme soup과 double consomme soup 사이에 유의차가 나타났다. 그러나 전체적인 기호성에 있어서는 consomme soup과 double consomme soup 사이에 유의차가 나타나지 않았다. 관능특성들 간의 상관관계에 있어서는 수프의 색상과 점성 간에는 정의 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 닭고기의 냄새가 진할수록 전체적인 기호성이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. This study was undertaken to investigate the cooking effect on the sensory characteristics of consomme and double consomme soup. Questionnaire method for consomme soup evaluation to student-cooks were practiced and the data were analyzed by SAS package program for the t-test and the Duncan multiple test between consomme soup and double consomme soup. In the case of beef consomme, the beef taste, viscosity and herb flavor were favorable according to the cooking time. The chicken flavor, soup color and soup concentration were favorable according to the cooking method in the case of chicken consomme soup.

        Introduction: Obesity, metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus are risk factor of coronary artery disease (CAD). Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is secreted primarily from liver that exerts potent anti-diabetic and lipid lowering effects in animal models of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. In recent studies showed FGF21 has similar effects in human subjects and also related with obesity and metabolic syndrome. However, the relationship between serum FGF21 level and CAD is not yet unknown. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the relationship among serum FGF21 levels, various cardiometabolic parameters and CAD in type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: In a total of 168 Korean adults with diabetes mellitus, in whom coronary angiogram were performed and classified into CAD group (n=99) and non-CAD group (n=69). Significant coronary artery stenosis was defiened as a coronary angiography finding of more than 50% stenosis in 1 ≥ coronary arteries. Fasting serum FGF21 level were measured using ELISA. Results: Serum mean FGF21 level in type 2 diabetes mellitus with CAD showed lower than in type 2 diabetes mellitus without CAD (1.10±0.22 pg/mL vs. 1.27±0.16 pg/mL, p<0.05). Conclusions: The Result suggest that fasting serum FGF21 levels might be a predictive marker of coronary artery diseases in Korean patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

        This study was investigated to the Korean restaurant menus from eight of the first class and five of the second class hotels in Seoul, and attempted to evaluate the restaurant evaluation and cooks job satisfaction with questionnaire surveys. The results were as follows : Korean restaurants of the first class hotel was on sale classified with a large table of food (so called kjo-ja-sang), Korean tabled hotel dinner(chong-sik), a Ia carte (il-pum yori), dessert, and wine with various prices and dishes. The first class hotel sold a lot of a large tables, second class hotel merchandised many Korean tabled hate dinner, both of them served from soup and stew of low price to high class dishes, served rice drink(sik-hei) and ginger tea with dried persimmons (su choung-kwa) with dessert, and served so-ju and bop-ju with Wine. Cooks whose sex were composed of 20% of female and 80% of male, ages were 52% of 20th, most of them graduated from high school or more. They had Korean, Western. Japanese or two or more of cooking license, had engaged in cooking for 5-10 years, worked 8 hours a day, made 1,000,000-1,500,000 won in a month. Most of them were satisfied with their job, possibilities, education training, and salary, whereas they dissatisfied with a cuisine environment such as room temperature, noise, illuminations. Therefore Korean restaurants need improve their working environment. Korean restaurants of the first class hotel had job description. standard cooking recipe, and job planing, hence we know that they were managed with scientific systems. We must attempt to survey menu design of food service system, western and Chinese restaurant as well.

      • 幼弱白鼠 肝細胞內 DNA, RNA 및 PAS 陽性物質에 미치는 Chlorambucil과 Ginseng Saponin의 相互作用에 關한 組織化學的 硏究

        The effects of interaction between chlorambucil and crude ginseng extract (ginseng saponin) had teen investigated on liver cell of 90 experimental weanling albino rats from 22 healthy primiparous mother rats by means of histochemical detection as RNA, DNA and PAS positive materials 1. Severe regressive changes of the liver tissue, especially on the portal area, induced by intraperitoneal administration of single dose of chlorambucil rated 0.2㎎/0.1㏄ per 20㎎ of body weight had been protected or recovered from the degeneration by following administration of single dose of the crude ginseng extract rated 1.0㎎/0.1㏄ per 20㎎ of the body weight of young. 2. An abrupt declination of PAS positive material in hepatocyte due to use of chlorambucil was contrasted with a gradual inclination of it induced by use of crude ginseng extract, and the effect of the latter appears to be contributed for recovering the lower PAS reaction into that of the normal on the former hepatic cellular change. 3. A declination of stain property or RNA to Azure B was resulted from the use of chlorambucil, while that of DNA was not affected until 24 hours and later it was increased by 36 hours after the administration. 4. A slight decrease of the staining in both the DNA and RNA was recovered the property by 48 hours after the administration of crude ginseng extract. 5. On concomitant administration of both the chlorambucil and crude ginseng extract the staining property of the RNA to Azure B was shown a decrease in the initial stage, and was recovered in that of the normal immediately thereafter without influencing that for DNA.

      • 천추 갈색종양(Brown tumor)으로 발현된 부갑상선 기능항진증 1예

        부갑상선 기능항진증에 의한 골병변으로 갈색종양이 있다. 갈색종양은 주로 장골을 침범하고 척추골에서의 발생은 매우 드물다. 국내의 보고에서 갈색종양의 장골 침범은 있었으나, 척추골에서의 발생은 보고된바 없다 .저자들은 부갑상선 기능항진증으로 인하여 척추골의 천추에 발생된 갈색종양 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The bony involvement in primary hyperparathyroidism present as browm tumor or osteitis fibrosa cystica and lead to pathologic fracture. Brown tumor commonly involve long bone such as femur, tibia, fibula, humerus, and radius. Brown tumor of axial skeleton is a rare entity. Previously reported case that involve axial skeleton still not present. We report a 47-year-old male patient that he has a hyperparathyroidism presenting as brown tumor involving sacrum.

        청년사업가를 위한 성장요인이 창업역량과 창업의도에 미치는 영향 연구

        The purpose of this study is to understand interrelationships among young entrepreneurs` growth factors, entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial intentions, targeting the students who major in culinary and foodservice. Based on total 327 samples obtained from the empirical research, this study reviewed reliability and fitness of the research model and verified total 2 hypotheses with the Amos program. The proposed model provided an adequate fit for the data, x2=495.217 (p<.001), df=231, CMIN/DF 2.144, GFI .902, AGFI .878, NFI .911, CFI .954, RMSEA .067. The SEM results showed that the young entrepreneurs` growth factors such as policy support(β =.457, p<.001), skills & knowledge(β=.244, p<.01), role model(β= .242, p<.05) in order had significantly positive effects on entrepreneurial capability, and entrepreneurial capability(β= .787, p<.001) had positive(+) effects on entrepreneurial intentions, verifying organic causal relationships among the growth factors, entrepreneurial capability, and entrepreneurial capability. These study results showed that there should be more systematic supports to encourage young entrepreneurs. Limitations and further research directions are also discussed.
