In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

건물 내장재는 화재 발생 시 화염 확산 및 유동성 가스발생의 주원인으로 피난안전계획에 매우 중요하지만 다중이용업소의 인테리어 공사 시 화재성능에 대한 검증 없이 무분별하게 사용되고 있어 동일한 유형의 인명피해가 반복되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 내장재 사용 실태조사를 통해 현행 관련규정상 문제점을 살펴보고, 이를 효과적으로 개선, 보완할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 구조체 밀착재를 제외한 내장재는 가칭 화재안전코드규정에서 사용구제하고, 소방 · 방화완비중명제도 시행 전 허가 · 신고된 다중이용업소는 건축법시행령에 소급하여 적용 할 수 있는 근거를 마련하며 지하 소규모 업소에 대한 소방방화시설 법제화, 내부 용도 변경 시 내장재사용 도면첨부 및 무단 변경 시 관련기관에 통보조치, 이동성가구에 대한 방염 처리 의무조항 신설, 화재확산 및 연기 유독성을 기준으로 하는 재료등급 평가 및 시험방법의 개선이 필요한 것으로 사료된다. A Interior material, a main cause of fire-growth and generating toxic gas it burns, should be dealt with great care in life safety design. Nonetheless, it has been used recklessly with undue attention to its contribution to fire in particular in entertainment occupancy and causes many victims in fire, Therefore, this study attempts to examine the current use of interior material in Korea and find out what to be improved and enhanced in terms of related regulations. Based on the comparison and analysis of the Korea regulation with those of advanced nation, suggestions are made for an effective and efficient improvement and complement to the current system. What can be suggested from this study are as follows. · The use of interior material should be controlled under the unified regulation of fire-safety codes. · Code should be set up so that the current construction enforcement should be applied in retroactive to those entertainment buildings that obtained a license prior to the implementation of the system certifying that the building is fire-resistant and fire-protection. ·The legislation should be made to control the fire-protection facilities of small-sized, underground entertainments. · It should be obliged to present the blueprint displaying the use of interior material at the time of changing occupancy. Or, it should be compelled to report changes that go way without permit to the administrative office. · A compulsory provision should be set up to have a fire-resistant performance to movable furniture. · The classification index designating the fire hazard of interior material by flame spread rate and smoke toxicity and its test method should be established.

To investigate how the robot traces the predetermined path, Cartesian trajectory, 4-3-4 trajectory, 3-5-3 trajectory, cycloid trajectory planning were applied to the Rhino XR-Ⅲ robot system. The trajectories drawn directly by robot, travelling times and jointangle variations were examined for those trajectory plannings. In the case of single path, all trajectories reached about 97% to destination position along the predetermined path. The travelling time of 4-3-4 trajectory was shorter than any other trajectories. On account of round-off error, structual allowances, influence of dynamics and friction force, differences between real trajectories and theoretical trajectories occurred.

Background: To reduce the signs of aging, many different laser and other light-based systems have been developed and evaluated for their ability. Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate the effects of the novel grid fractional radiofrequency (GFR) treatment on skin structure and collagen production in vivo. Methods: The GFR device was used to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy to skin. To compare the effects of different energy level, we used two different parameters, 84W and 200W for 2 seconds. The wound healing response was evaluated histologically and by RT-PCR up to 10 weeks post-RF treatment. Changes of diameter of collagen fiber were assessed by electron microscopy. Results: Dermal thickness, cellularity, and elastin content increased. RT-PCR studies revealed an immediate increase in IL-1b, TNF-a, and MMP-13 while MMP-1, HSP70.2, HSP47, and TGF-b levels increased by 2 days. We also observed a marked induction of tropoelastin, fibrillin, as well as collagen type 1 and 3 by 28 days post-treatment. Conclusion: Our study revealed a vigorous wound healing response is initiated post-treatment with progressive increase in inflammatory cell infiltration from day 2 through 10 weeks. Furthermore, we successfully demonstrated for the evidence of profound neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis following RF treatment of human skin. The combination of neoelastogenesis and neocollagenesis induced by treatment with the GFR system may provide a reliable treatment option for skin laxity and rhytids.

Background: Skin diseases on the anogenital areas cause sexual and functional problems, and these problems are important to most patients, so awareness of these disease entities is very important. Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the epidemiological aspects of skin diseases on anogenital areas that were confirmed by biopsies, and we wanted to highlight the clinical features of dermatoses of the anogenital areas. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the data of 132 patients with anogenital lesions and these lesions were confirmed by biopsy at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital between January 2008 and June 2013. Results: The ratio of males to females was 104:28. The most frequent anogenital skin diseases of men were condyloma acuminatum(26%), epidermal cyst(9%), calcinosis cutis(7%), extramammary paget`s disease(7%), and the most frequent anogenital skin diseases of women were condyloma acuminatum(25%), Behcet`s disease(18%), epidermal cyst(11%). Of the 132 cases, 81 had papules or nodules, 32 had patches or plaques, and 19 had vesicles, erosions or ulcers. Conclusion: We retrospectively studied 132 cases of anogenital skin diseases. This study suggests that various conditions, including sexually transmitted infections, neoplasms, ulcerative disorders, and inflammatory dermatoses, can affect the anogenital areas and show different characteristics according to the diagnosis. These diseasespecific characteristics may be helpful to diagnosis before histopathological confirmations.
Identification of differentially-expressed genes by DNA methylation in cervical cancer

<P>To identify novel cervical cancer-related genes that are regulated by DNA methylation, integrated analyses of genome-wide DNA methylation and RNA expression profiles were performed using the normal and tumor regions of tissues from four patients; two with cervical cancer and two with pre-invasive cancer. The present study identified 19 novel cervical cancer-related genes showing differential RNA expression by DNA methylation. A number of the identified genes were novel cervical cancer-related genes and their differential expression was confirmed in a publicly available database. Among the candidate genes, the epigenetic regulation and expression of three genes, <I>CAMK2N1</I>, <I>ALDH1A3</I> and <I>PPP1R3C</I>, was validated in HeLa cells treated with a demethylating reagent using methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and quantitative PCR, respectively. From these results, the expression of the <I>CAMK2N1</I>, <I>ALDH1A3</I> and <I>PPP1R3C</I> genes are were shown to be suppressed in cervical cancers by DNA methylation. These genes may be involved in the progression or initiation of cervical cancer.</P>
