Background 'For many years, the Papanicolaou smear has been used to detect pre-malignant and malignant disease of the cervix. Although cervical cytology screening programmes have result in the reduction of cervical cancer incidence and mortality, Pap smear have been subjected to intense scrutiny and criticism in recent years. So cervicography is introduced. Cervicography is an adjunct method of cervical cancer screening intended to complement Papanicolaou smear. Cervicography involve obtaining and evaluating a photographic image of the cervix. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the efficacy of Papanicolaou smear and cervicography in cervical cancer screening. Materials & Methods : This study population was of 74 women, who visited department of obstetrics & Gynecology, Korea association of Health Promotion Chung-nam branch from January, 20O2 to October, 2003. All patients were taken Pap smear before cervicography, and then two cervicography was obtained with applying5% acetic acid. Those women in whom abnormalities were detected by either test subsequently obtained histologic specimen. Results : 1. The sensitivity and the specificity of Papanicolaou smear was 92.1% and 72.7%respectively.2. The sensitivity and the specificity of cervicography was 88.9% and 54.5% respectively. The false negative rate, and false positive rate of Papanicolaou smear were 7.9%, 27.2% respectively. The false negative rate, and false positive rate of cervicography were 11.1%,45.5% respectively. Conclusions . Papanicolaou smear is a useful method and an important tool for detecting cervical cancer. However when Papanicolaou smear and Cervicograpy is used together, the sensitivity is higher than for Papanicolaou smear used alone.

최근 산업 디자인에서 관심의 촛점이 모아지고 있는 제품-사용자 인터페이스 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나, 제품 하드웨어에 표시되는 프로덕트 그래픽의 문제는 아직까지 선결 과제로 남아 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 제품과 사용자 사이에 발생하는 시각적 양립성을 사용자 중심으로 접근하였다. 본 연구는 제품과 사용자 사이에 발생히는 커뮤니케이션을 원활히 지원하는 제품 그래픽에 관하여 인간과 기기의 상호작용의 관점에서 고찰한 것이다. 사용자와 제품의 위계상에서 발생하는 관계적 특성과 그 반응에 중점하고 제품 그래픽과 관계된 사용자 형태와 가설들을 검토하기 위하여 국제표준기구와 국제전자위원회가 합동으로 제정한 제품 그래픽 표준안을 대상으로 사용자에게 수용되고 있는 반응적 특성을 분석하였다. 표준화에 의한 인터페이스의 확장과 통합화는 제품별 크기ㆍ형태ㆍ위치ㆍ용도ㆍ의미 등에 대한 규칙과 사용자의 시각경험에 대한 규칙이 통합됨을 알 수 있었는데, 이는 제품의 형식적 체제, 제품이 갖는 상징적, 내포적 표상체제의 결합에 따라 형성됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 사용자가 사용시에 느끼는 주관적인 식별성과 제품그래픽의 기능적 언어 속성이 사용자-제품 상호작용에 포함되야 하며 사용자 멘탈이 전제되어야 한다. Interface design is mainly focusing on Product-User Interface in Industrial Design, ignoring the general panel graphics, graphical symbols and product graphics of appliance. The study begins with discussing the compatibility of Product-User interface and reviewing various theories and issues on cognition structure, visual perception behavior theory. The paper aims to identify basic framework of product graphics in product design through the issue of Man-Machine interface. Product graphics have concluded the characteristics of components including a controls, visual displays, machine graphics, also the establishing factors have selected. In order to find out visual quality of product graphics, ISO/IEC graphical symbols was tested for considering of the users visual factor. This thesis aims at the more rational design with the consideration of product graphical symbols, it must plan user`s efficient improvement by the visual quality of the panel graphics. Based on the findings, proposes some guidelines for the quality-base product graphics in accordance with the correlations, factor in graphical symbols.

본 논문의 목적은 고등학교 수준의 지속가능한 제품 디자인(SpD : Sustainable Product Design) 학습 프로그램 구성 전략을 연구, 개발 하는 것이다. 연구 실행을 위하여 논제의 주요 이론적 배경을 고찰하고 현행 고등학교 미술 및 디자인에 포함된 지속가능성 관련 내용인 환경을 위한 디자인, 그린디자인, 에코 디자인에 대한 학습내용을 자료와 문헌을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석 방법은 지속가능한 제품 디자인(SpD : Sustainable Product Design) 교수-학습 전략 개발 방법, 프로세스와 지속가능성 범위와 영역은 관련 문헌의 종합화를 거쳐 이루어 졌다. 지속가능한 발전으로의 지향은 교육이라는 사실이 강조되고 있었고 지속가능한 제품디자인 교수-학습 전략은 교육과 학습 상호간을 촉진시키면서 교육의 발전을 도모하는 패러다임임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통한 교수-학습 전략 개발 결과는 고등학교 미술 및 디자인 교육 수업현장에서 실행에 참고할 수 있으며, 지속가능성의 교육학적인 접근을 위한 교수-학습 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다. The purpose of the research is to study and develop strategies of teaching & learning program for sustainable product design within the high school level. For proceeding of this paper, review on theoretical background of the research topic and analysis on art & design education of the high school level design subjects encompassing design for environment, green design, ceo-design, and product design through survey on literatures and materials were conducted. The sustainable product design teaching & learning strategy of development process and method were synthesized through research on related literatures and materials in order to establish design for sustainability area and category. A number of reports highlight the key role of education in enabling transitions toward sustainable development. Teaching & learning strategy of sustainable product design describes the embryonic development of an educational approach addressing design for substantiality from a perspective of necessitates a shift away from a teaching to a learning paradigm. Research of this study may be utilized as a reference to art & design teaching method practice at the time of excuting education at the high school. it can be utilized as fundamental teaching & learning meterials for the pedagogic approach for sustainability.

지속가능한 프로덕트 디자인 프로세스 시스템 수립을 위한 인자 분석 툴의 적용에 관한 연구

본 논문은 새로운 컨셉트인 지속가능한 프로덕트 디자인 프로세스에 관하여 몇 가지 전략적 접근을 규명하는데 있다. 지속가능한 디자인은 제품을 사용하면서 제품수명 기간 동안에 야기되는 환경적인 영향이 얼마나 되는지를 규명하여 디자인을 최적화함으로서 제품의 환경적인 영향을 감소시키는 방법을 탐색하는 것을 포함하고 있는 동시에 지속가능한 프로덕트 디자인은 환경친화적 제품의 제조, 소비자 욕구충족, 경제적?사회적?환경적 시스템적 레벨로 구성된 3가지 카테고리 속에서 진척되어 왔다. 하지만 이러한 지속가능성 평가들은 계량적이어서 인더스트리얼 디자인 기반의 프로덕트 디자이너에게 종종 혼란스러운 것 이었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프로덕트 디자이너가 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 지속가능성 정보를 프로덕트 디자인 프로세스 단계에 따라 적용할 수 있는 MET matrix법, EcoDesign 체크리스트법, 벤치마킹 법, 영감-혁신 법을 제시하였다. 이러한 4가지 방법을 제품 기반 개발 프로세스상의 지속가능성 정보로 통합한 다음, 6단계의 디자인 프로세스에 적용하였다. This paper identifies some strategic approaches Sustainable Product Design Process as a new concept. Sustainable Design involves, identifying how a product gives rise to environmental impacts during its life cycle and then investigating how to reduce these through optimising the design and also Sustainable Product Design goes 3 categories beyond how to make DfE product-how to meet consumer needs-social, economic and environmental on a systematic level. These are elements that accord well with the agenda of sustainable design. However these sustainablility criteria are numerous and often conflicting for product designers based on industrial design. These are elements that accord well with the agenda of sustainable design. In this paper some of the MET matrix and EcoDesign checklist methods, Benchmarking methods, Inspration-Innovation Method were effective in Product Design Process phase. A total of six Design Process phase was applied for the integration of the sustainable information into the product development based on its scope.

디자인 개발과정에서 웹 기반 다중 사용자를 위한 지속가능성 툴 연구

생태를 고려하면서 경제와 사회면에서도 만족할 수 있는 성장을 도모하자는 지속가능성(sustainability)의 문제는 디자인의 각 분야별로 관심의 대상이다. 기존의 디자인 개발(design development)이 지향하는 지속가능성 솔루션 툴(solution tool)은 제품 그 자체의 환경성에 초점을 맞추었고 방대한 자료가 산발적으로 존재하여 디자인의 핵심적인 요소로서 고려되지 못하고 상호 보완성은 간과되었다. 이러한 오류는 웹을 기반으로 지속가능성 관련 정보의 공유와 다중사용자(multi-user)의 참여로 해소될 것이라는 점을 전제로, 본 연구에서는 디자인 개발과정에서 다중사용자의 참여를 강화하는 지속가능성 툴(sustainablility tools)을 지속가능성의 기본 개념을 통해 검토해 보았다. 이어서 지속가능디자인 온라인 가이드라인을 비롯하여 통합적인 웹 기반 지속가능성 툴을 활성화 중인 유엔환경계획(UNEP)의 'D4S', 미국산업디자이너협회(IDSA)의 'OKALA', 영국 러프보러대학교가 운용 중인 'INFORMATION / INSPIRATION', 영국 골드스미스대학교가 구축한 웹 툴인 'DEMI', 영국의 그린 드링크스 네트워크(Green Drinks Network)의 'Biothinking'을 포함한 5곳에 나타난 툴의 특징과 내용을 정리하여 디자인 개발과정의 단계별 지속가능성 요소와 관련 실행 툴을 제시하였다. 지속가능성의 문제를 디자인 관점에서 접근하고 이를 적용하여 이용할 수 있는 지속가능성 툴은 혁신적인 전략이나 해결책, 실행적인 노하우 등에 대한 의사소통의 활성화를 앞당길 것이다. The issue of sustainability to realize desirable growth in the aspects of not only ecology but also economy and society is the object of interest in many different areas of design. The sustainability tools previously by the process of design development were focused on environmental factors of the product itself, and a vast amount of data was present sporadically and could not be considered as core elements of design, and complementarity was disregarded. With an assumption that this kind of negativity can be cleared out by sharing information about sustainability in a web-based way and letting multi-users participate in it, this researcher investigated sustainability tools to increase multi-users' participation in the process of design development through the concept of sustainability. Next, by arranging and evaluating the characteristics and contents of tools found in five places including D4S in UNEP, OKALA in IDSA, INFORMATION / INSPIRATION in Loughborough University of UK, DEMI in Goldsmiths College, University of London and Biothinking in Green Drinks Network which are being activated as integrated web-based sustainability tools involving sustainable design guideline, this author suggested the elements of sustainability for each step of design development. It is expected that sustainability tools with which we can approach and apply sustainability issues in a perspective of design will vitalize communication about innovative strategies and solutions or practical knowhow even faster.
