The characteristics of grounds influences on the safety of stone bridge structure. Therefore, this study performs the modelling and analysis considering the formation of soft ground. Also, this study evaluates the structural performance through the design variables according to the characteristics of soft ground.

Sleeper stone, stone column and foundation stones of flat stone bridge members have an important part on load transfer mechanism. To this end, this study performs the structural modeling according to four cases of stone column shapes influencing on load transfer mechanism. Also, the behavior characteristics of flat stone bridge is analyzed according to stone column shape types for finite element method.

The stone masonry arch bridges have the behavior characteristics of arch structure. For this reason, the reasonable analysis method is reguired for the structural behavior of stone masonry arch bridges. Therefore, this study performs the mechanical characteristics analysis according to the foundation types of stone masonry arch bridges through the finite element modelling.

But, the several types have been constructed by considering the height-width ratios according to the installation locations. The arched stone bridges with the various arched types have the different load transfer mechanism and show the different structural behavior according to the axis variation. Therefore, this study analyzes the mechanical behavior characteristics according to the various arched types and applies the discrete element method for the modelling and analysis of discontinuum structure.</P>

This study evaluates the structural performance for fortress slope variation according to local damage. To this end, this study analyzes the fortress construction types and then performs the structural modelling and analysis through discrete element method. Especially, through the analysis results, the structural performance is performed by the evaluation of slope variation under local damage consideration.
