Since containment building is the major shielding structure to ensure safety of nuclear power plant, the structural behavior and ultimate pressure capacity of containments must be studied in depth. This paper addresses ambiguous issue of determining free-field position for liner failure by suggesting an expanded free-field region and comparing internal pressure capacities obtained by test data, conservative assumption and suggested free-field region. For this purpose, a practical approach to determine the freefield position for the evaluation of liner tearing is carried out. The maximum principal strain histories versus internal pressure capacities among different free-field positions at various azimuths and elevations are compared with those at the equipment hatch as a conservative assumption. The comparison shows that there are considerable differences in the internal pressure capacity at liner failure within the expanded free-field region compared to the vicinity of the equipment hatch. Additionally, this study proposes an approximate correlation with conservative factors by considering the expanded free-field ranges and material characteristics to determine realistic failure criteria for liner. The applicability of the proposed correlation is demonstrated by comparing the internal pressure capacities of full-scale containment buildings following liner failure criteria according to RG 1.216 and an approximate correlation

사용후핵연료 임시 저장시설인 사일로는 콘크리트, 철근 및 라이너로 구성되어 구조적 강도 및 방사선 차폐기능을 수행한다. 예기치 못한 사고 상황에서 독성 물질 누출 방지를 위해 각 부품의 건전성은 유지되어야 한다. 본 연구는 수치해석 기법을 활용하여 폭발하중이 가해지는 연료저장 사일로의 동적 파괴거동을 분석하고 적절한 파손기준을 제시하는 것이다. 재료의 비선형성과 변형률 속도 효과를 고려하여 연료저장 사일로의 손상, 변형률과 회전각도를 조사하였다. 폭발조건 및 콘크리트 압축강도를 변화시켜 해석을 수행하였고 파손기준과 해석 결과를 비교하였다. 모든 경우에서 철근과 라이너는 파손되지 않았으나 콘크리트는 일부의 경우 파손되었다. 콘크리트의 외부 하중에 대한 일차 방호 기능 및 해석 결과의 보수성을 고려하여 해당 파손기준을 사일로 평가를 위한 기준으로 제시하였다. Fuel storage silo, which is an interim dry storage facility of spent nuclear fuel, provides structural strength and radiation shielding. In this study, a numerical analysis was used to analyze the dynamic failure behavior of a fuel storage silo under blast loads and to present appropriate failure criteria. Damage, strain, and support rotation of the fuel storage silo were investigated considering the non-linearity and strain effect of the materials. The explosive condition and concrete strength were changed. The analyses results were compared with the failure criteria of each component. In all cases, reinforcement and liner were not damaged, but the concrete wall exceeded the failure criteria at several analyses. Considering the conservative characteristics of nuclear facilities and the importance of concrete to protect spent nuclear fuel while serving as a primary barrier from external loadings, concrete failure criteria was presented as criteria for silo evaluation.
자가 면역 갑상선 질환에 대한 최대 표준섭취계수와 갑상선 자가 항체의 임상적 상관관계

The purpose of this study were to analyze the clinical correlation between the thyroid autoimmune antibodies (anti-TPO Ab, anti-TG Ab, and TSH) and the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) base on the Hashimoto's thyroiditis and the Graves' disease in diffusely 18F-FDG uptake of the thyroid gland to the PET/CT image. To achieve this, we was performed the PET/CT examination for the 1,097 subjects from May 2010 to April 2013 in the health screening, and was detected the diffused FDG thyroid uptake, and was additionally performed the thyroid function test (TFT) and the ultrasound (US). As a results, the autoimmune thyroid disease with the diffused FDG thyroid uptake were discovered 39 patients (3.9%), of this, the Hashimoto's thyroiditis was 43.6% and the Graves' disease was 23.1%. Hashimoto's thyroiditis was shown the positive reaction of high titer between the anti-TPO Ab and the anti-TG Ab level, and the correlation coefficient between the SUVmax and the anti-TPO Ab was a statistically significant (r>04, p<0.05). Also, Graves' disease was shown the positive reaction of high titer most of the thyroid autoimmune antibodies, and the correlation coefficient between the SUVmax and the anti-TPO Ab was a statistically significant (r>05, p<0.01). Therefor, when have a high standard of the SUVmax due to the diffusely 18F-FDG uptake of the thyroid gland, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease were proportionally increased the anti-TPO Ab and TSH level, respectively. The correlation coefficient between the SUVmax and the thyroid autoimmune antibodies will be the most influential criterion that was a standard of judgment for the epihpenomenon of the autoimmune thyroid disease, and it will be available for the clinical application. 본 연구는 미만성 18F-FDG 갑상선 섭취를 보이는 PET/CT 영상에서 최대 표준섭취계수(SUVmax)와 갑상선 자가항체(anti-TPO Ab, anti-TG Ab, TSH)들 사이의 임상적 상관관계를 하시모토 갑상선염과 그레이브스병 중심으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2010년 5월부터 2013년 4월까지 건강검진에서 PET/CT 검사를 시행한 환자 1,097명을 대상으로 미만성 FDG 갑상선 섭취 여부를 분석하여 갑상선 기능 검사와 초음파 검사를 추가적으로 시행하였다. 결과적으로 미만성 18F-FDG 갑상선 섭취를 보이는 자가 면역 갑상선 질환 환자는 39명(3.6%)이 발견되었으며 하시모토 갑상선염은 43.6%, 그레이브스병은 23.1% 이었다. 하시모토 갑상선염은 anti-TPO Ab와 anti-TG 수준이 높은 역가의 양성 반응을 보였으며 SUVmax와 anti-TPO Ab간 상관계수가 통계적으로 유의하였다(r>0.4, p<0.05). 또한 그레이브스병은 대부분의 갑상선 자가 항체의 수준이 높은 역가의 양성 반응을 보였으며 SUVmax와 TSH간 상관계수가 통계적으로 유의하였다(r>0.5, p<0.01). 따라서 미만성 18F-FDG 갑상선 섭취 증가에 따른 SUVmax 수준이 높을수록 하시모토 갑상선염은 anti-TPO Ab 수준이, 그레이브스병은 TSH 수준이 비례적으로 증가됨을 알 수 있었고 이러한 상관관계는 자가 면역 갑상선 질환에 대한 부대 징후를 판단할 수 있는 가장 영향력 있는 척도로서 임상적 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단하였다.

Tetrandrine (TET), a bis-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid from the root of Stephania tetrandra, is known to have anti-tumor activity in various malignant neoplasms. However, the precise mechanism by which TET inhibits tumor cell growth remains to be elucidated. The present studies were performed to characterize the potential effects of TET on phosphoinositide 3-kinase/Akt and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathways since these signaling pathways are known to be responsible for cell growth and survival. TET suppressed cell proliferation and induced apoptosis in A549 human lung carcinoma cells. TET treatment resulted in a down-regulation of Akt and ERK phosphorylation in both time-/concentrationdependent manners. The inhibition of ERK using PD98059 synergistically enhanced the TET-induced apoptosis of A549 cells whereas the inhibition of Akt using LY294002 had a less significant effect. Taken together, our results suggest that TET: i) selectively inhibits the proliferation of lung cancer cells by blocking Akt activation and ii) increases apoptosis by inhibiting ERK. The treatment of lung cancers with TET may enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and increase the apoptotic potential of lung cancer cells.
Al85Ce5Ni10 비정질 리본의 결정화 거동에 관한 연구

Since amorphous alloys have been known to have better mechanical and chemical properties than crystalline alloys of the same composition, a great number of studies on the formation of Al-based amorphous alloys have been carried out actively. However, little has been obtained about the effect of Rare-Earth metal and Transition metal addition on amorphous phase formed by melt spinning method. This study included fabrication of amorphous alloy Al_(85)Ce_5Ni_(10) by melt spinning methods and DTA, XRD, TEM analysis to determine crystalization behavoir. Annealing treatments were carried out in Ar atmosphere under isothermal and nonisothermal conditions. The diffraction pattern of non-heated ribbons showed broad form characteristic of glass metallic alloy. The crystallization of amorphous Al_(85)Ce_5Ni_(10) takes place eutedtoidly by homogeneous formation of Al and MS-1, followed by precipitation of the Al_(11)Ce₃and later MS-1→ Al₃Ni transformation.
