V-groove device was fabricated for precision coupling of planar optical splitter and optical fibers. V-groove was made through select wet etching of Si wafer by using KOH solution. Etching rate and surface roughness were checked, changing KOH composition(10, 20, 30, 33, 40 wt.%) and etching temperature (50, 60, 70, $80^{\circ}C$) to fabricate V-groove device effectively. Etching rate was the fastest as $1.84\;{\mu}m/min$ in case of etching by 20 wt.% KOH on $80^{\circ}C$, surface roughness was the best in case of etching by 33 wt. % KOH on $80^{\circ}C$.
중국산 급성자(急性子)와 국산 급성자(急性子) 및 봉선(鳳仙)의 항산화 작용에 관한 연구

OBJECTIVE : This study was carried out to examine the effect of CIS(Chinese Impatiens semens), KIS(Korea Impatiens semens), KIH(Korea Impatiens Herba) on antioxidation. METHOD: CIS, KIS, KIH were investigated effects of antioxidation for DPPH radical ability, nitrate reductase activity(NR), superoxide dismutase activity(SOD), catalase activity, lipid peroxidase(LP) and glutathione(GSH). In this experiment rats were divided into 4 group, Normal; non-treated, Control ; injected with acetaminophen (500 mg/kg, i.p), Test 1; injected with acetaminophen after CIS (500 mg/kg) pretreatment for 7days, Test 2; injected with acetaminophen after KIS (500mg/kg) pretreatment for 7days, Test 3; injected with acetaminophen after KIH (500 mg/kg) pretreatment for 7days, Test 4; injected with acetaminophen after Ascorbic acid (500 mg/kg) pretreatment for 7days, Each values are the mean ± S.E for 6 separate experiments. RESULT : In vitro, DPPH(electron donating ability) radical ability and nitrate reductase activity(NR) were increased according to the increasing of CIS, KIS, KIH concentrations. Among others CIS, KIS were significantly increased to the level of BHT(butylated hydroxytoluene). In vivo, compared with Normal group, SOD(superoxide dismutase) activity and Catalase activity were decreased in the acetaminophen treated group. On the other hand, CIS, KIS, KIH in the pretreated groups SOD activity and Catalase activity were significantly increased. Among others KIS was almost increased to the level of Ascorbic acid. Compared with Normal group, lipid peroxidation was increased in acetaminophen treated group. On the other hand, CIS, KIS, KIH in the pretreated groups were decreased. Among others KIS was almost significantly decreased to the level of Ascorbic acid. In the acetaminophen treated group, GSH activity was decreased by compare with Normal group. And in the CIS, KIS, KIH pretreated groups, GSH activity was increased to the control group. Among others KIS was almost significantly increased to the level of Ascorbic acid. These results suggest that among others KIS was almost increased to the level of Ascorbic acid. CONCLUSION : Acoding to the above results, the antioxidant activities of KIS were proved in experiment and it should be studied and developed more throughly.

The purpose of this study was to analysis the manuscripts rejected for publication in the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration during the last three years six months (2012~2015 Jun). Methods: Seventy eight rejected manuscripts were analyzed focusing on manuscripts characteristics, such as rejection rates, year of submission, occupation of first author and corresponding author, number of authors, funding, thesis or dissertation, article type, study participants, number of reviews prior to rejection, and 3rd reviewer. Also reviewers`` quantitative evaluation scores and subjective comments were analyzed. Reviewers’ subjective comments were analyzed using content analysis methodology. Results: The mean rate for manuscript rejection was 28.9% and for quantitative research, qualitative research, and review papers the quantitative evaluation scores were 2.54±0.70, 2.39±0.69, and 2.39±0.69 out of 5 points, respectively. The most frequent subjective comment on rejected manuscripts was ‘lack of rationale for research need’. Conclusion: In this study the characteristics and the reasons for rejecting manuscripts were identified. These findings can be used in developing effective strategies for researchers, reviewers and editors to improve the quality of research and research reviews of nursing administration research.
