A study is aimed to review mainly occurring a reflex action aged newborn to 1 year-old explaining the importance of physical exercise prescription of normal motor development by means of measuring infant reflex action. First, the duration of occurring or going away infant reflex action has personal difference. Therefore, the research should be clearly verified the duration of the standard and certain reflex action in the case of Korean infants. Second, the development of the precise measuring tool regarding infant reflex action is urgently needed. The measuring tool which is connected with infants reflex action will be the basis of the treatment of infant motor development disability. Furthermore, the tool which is a fundamental normal motor development can improve or adjust the disability as a mediator as well. In addition, suitable measuring tool is necessary for the standard of development of Korean infants on account of personal difference such as the form and the duration of reflex action. Finally, systematic rehabilitation treatment is necessary to develop normal reflex action for infants who are expected or are shown development disability. Therefore, new passive motor development such as special infants massage system and available infants gymnastics to early childhood be considered to develop normally for children with developmental disability.

A study is aimed to verify the preference for types of physical activities of children that have significant different by age and gender. The correlations were investigated the preference of physical activities by ratio distribution of age and gender difference in age 4 to 7-year-old through the guidance of each type of physical activities. First, according to the preference of physical activities of femininity and masculinity by sexual characteristics of children, male and female children prefer the physical activities that are strongly correlated with their gender. Second, according to the preference of femininity and masculinity of physical activities by age of children, the preference of physical activities of masculinity tends to decrease as all volunteers(children) get older. Especially the preference of femininity activities of female children shows a remarkable increase as they get older. Third, according to the preference of gross and fine motor by sexual characteristics of children, more male children prefer gross motor and more female children prefer fine motor. Fourth, although the preference of gross and fine motor by age of children has no significant difference, 4-year-old male and female children prefer fine motor more than older children.
유아체육지도자들의 감정노동이 감정적 탈진 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향

This survey study of 149 participants from eleven early childhood sports organizations located in Seoul and Gyeonggido investigated how early childhood sports instructors′ emotional labor impacts emotional exhaustion and turnover intentions. To achieve this goal, the study was performed in two stages. In the first stage, the frequency, descriptive, and correlation analyses among proposed variables were conducted by SPSS 18.0 version. In the second stage, the confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were employed to refine questionnaires to improve their psychometric properties and test proposed hypotheses by Lisrel 8.80 version. Results demonstrated how emotional labor process among early childhood instructors can influence their well-being and work attitude. Specifically, structural equation analyses indicated that early childhood sports instructors′ surface acting and genuine negative expressions had a positive impact on emotional exhaustion while their deep acting and genuine positive expressions had a negative association with emotional exhaustion. Further, emotional exhaustion was found to have positive impact on turnover intention. Limitations and future research directions was discussed.

Heel rocking phase in gait cycle is from initial contact to forefoot contact. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of age on heel rocking time. Seven young women (21.9±1.5 yrs) and seven elderly women (74.1±6.7 yrs) participated in this study. Subjects wore the shoes equipped with pressure sensors and walked along 10 m walkway at comfortable speeds. Stride time, stance time, and heel rocking time were compared between groups. Stride time was not different between groups (p=0.087). Stance time was longer (p<0.001) but heel rocking time was shorter in the elderly than in the young (p<0.001). The shorter heel-rocking time in elderly women indicates less efficient shock-absorption in the heel-rocking phase, which might be related to the abnormal control and/or reduced performance of ankle dorsiflexors.
生脈散이 대동맥 평활근 세포에서 NO 생성에 미치는 영향

Nitric oxide(NO) play an important role in normal and pathophysiologcal cells including as a messenger molecule, neurotransmitter, microbiocidal agent, or dilator of blood vessels and arteriosclerosis, respectively. To understand the mechanism of NO production and effect of Saengmaeg-san extract on NO production in cultured vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC), firstly, VSMC was isolated from aorta and cultured. Cultured primary cells was identified as VSMC with anti- α smooth muscle actin antibody. High amounts of NO was produced in cultured VSMC treated with IFN-γ and TNF-α as time- and dose-dependent manner. TNF-α was a more efficient stimulator than IFN-γ on the respect to NO production in cultured VSMC. iNOS protein was detected within 3 hr and the detected iNOS was increased up to 12 hr as time-dependent manner. However, accumulated NO in activated VSMC was not detected within 3 hr. NO production in activated VSMC showed the dose- and time-dependent manner, and was increased up to 72 hr. The activated VSMC produced high amounts of NO (about 70 uM) and showed cytotoxicity. The cytotoxicity was apparently responsible to high amounts of NO produced in activated VSMC. Saengmaeg-san extract decreased the accumulation of NO in IFN-γ plus TNF-α or TNF-α treated aortic VSMC. Saengmaeg-san extract suppressed the effect of TNF-α on NO production. TNF-α functions signal molecules for apoptosis in some cells. As NO deeply involved in the development of arteriosclerosis and dilation of blood vessels and NO induced apoptosis in cultured VSMC, one have thought that drugs or chemicals modulating the NO production in VSMC could be used for preventing and treating the arteriosderosis. Therefor, The results strongly suggested that Saengmaeg-san have a potential capacity for preventing and treating the disease of cardiovascular system including arteriosclerosis.
