Pricing external-chained barrier options with exponential barriers

External barrier options are two-asset options with stochastic variables where the payoff depends on one underlying asset and the barrier depends on another state variable. The barrier state variable determines whether the option is knocked in or out when the value of the variable is above or below some prescribed barrier level. This paper derives the explicit analytic solution of the chained option with an external single or double barrier by utilizing the probabilistic methods - the reflection principle and the change of measure. Before we do this, we examine the closed-form solution of the external barrier option with a single or double-curved barrier using the methods of image and double Mellin transforms. The exact solution of the external barrier option price enables us to obtain the pricing formula of the chained option with the external barrier more easily.

영어 문법 차이로 살펴본 영국과 미국 언어문화의 보수성과 개방성(subjunctive에 대한 코퍼스 분석을 중심으로)

언어는 문화와 뗄래야 뗄 수 없는 관계에 있다. 언어를 연구하는 것이 곧 언어 사용자들의 문화를 알 수 있는 첩경임은 두 말할 나위가 없다. 본 논문은 요즘 언어학계에서 각광받고 있는 언어 연구 방법인 코퍼스 언어분석법을 활용하여 영국 영어와 미국 영어의 차이점을 밝히고 더 나아가 영국과 미국 사회의 특징에 대한 이해의 지평을 넓히는데 그 목적이 있다. 지금껏 영국 영어와 미국 영어의 비교는 주로 발음, 철자, 단어 수준에서 이루어져 왔지만 본고는 이런 어휘 수준을 넘어 문법적 차원에서 두 언어를 비교하고 있다. 기존에 학습해 온 이론적인 문법 상식에 의지하지 않고 영국인과 미국인들이 실제 사용하는 언어 자료를 활용하여 분석하였기 때문에 보다 객관적인 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 영국 영어 코퍼스인 BNC와 미국 영어 코퍼스인 COCA를 활용하여 분석했는데 분석대상은 영어 문법에서 아직 실현되지 않은 일들에 대한 소망, 감정, 가능성, 판단, 의견, 필요성 등을 나타내는 ‘subjunctive’로 하였다. 분석 결과 영국 영어가 미국 영어에 비해 훨씬 개방적인 경향성이 강하고 미국 영어에 보수적인 경향성이 강한 측면이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 각 문화 집단에서 사용하는 언어의 사용양상들을 객관적인 데이터를 통해 분석하고 이를 통해 그 언어 사용 집단 문화의 특징을 파악할 수 있는 코퍼스 언어분석법을 활용한 본고는 다문화 사회 간 문화 비교연구에 있어 새로운 장을 여는 연구방법을 제시했다고 할 수 있다. Language and culture are inseparable from each other. It goes without saying that studying a language is a shortcut to understanding the culture of the language users. This paper aims at clarifying the differences between British and American English and broadening our understanding of the characteristics of British and American society through corpus-based language analysis which is popular in recent linguistics. Thus far, the comparison of the two languages has been made in the level of pronunciation, spelling and vocabulary but this paper compare the two languages in grammar level. The data-driven analysis used here is not based upon traditional grammar but upon the real data collected from native British and Americans, thus producing more objective results. BNC(British National Corpus) and COCA(Corpus of Contemporary American English) is utilized in the analysis. The object of the analysis is subjunctive expressing a hope for the thing that has yet to occur, emotion, possibility, judgment, opinion, necessity and so forth. The result shows that British English is much more inclined to openness and American English conservativeness. Utilizing corpus analysis based upon the objective data which enables us to examine the use of language in a certain cultural group and to understand the characteristics of the culture the language users belong to, this paper suggests a new research methodology in the field of comparative studies of multicultural society.

Recently, as construction projects are getting bigger and more complex, the number of participants has been tremendously increased. According to the current trend, the necessity of collaboration design management controlling communication and information exchange among many participants has came up. So this study considers the characteristic of informations that occur in each design stage, and looks into the present status of collaboration in design management of domestic design companies. Finally, the Interface of collaboration supporting system is drove. This information exchange supporting system's user interfaces are comprised of Project Information, Owner's Requirement Information, Final Design Out Information, Progressing design information. Using of this system would help project participants exchange information efficiently and immediately.

조기 은퇴를 고려한 최적 연금화: 마팅게일-듀얼 접근법

본 연구는 조기 은퇴를 고려할 수 있는 최적 연금 의사결정을 도출하기 위한 정량적 연구에 초점을 맞추어 새로운 수학적 이론을 개발한다. 정년 퇴직을 고려하면서 최적 소비/투자 전략들과 재산 프로세스에 대한 해석적인 해를 도출한다. 정년 퇴직을 고려하지 않은 기존의 은퇴 문헌과 비교했을 때 나이듬의 개념이 존재하고 시간이라는 변수가 소비/투자 의사결정과 더불어 재산 형성에도 직접적인 역할을 함으로써 경제 주체는 조기 은퇴 시점에 대한 불가역적인 선택을 통해 최적 연금 의사결정을 내린다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 정년 퇴직 이전에 최적 연금화를 위해 유도하게 되는 변분부등식에 대한 다양한 수학적 성질들을 면밀히 분석한다. We develop a full mathematical theory in a quantitatively focused study especially for optimal annuitization with early retirement. Analytically tractable optimal consumption/investment strategies and wealth process are obtained with mandatory retirement on a finite date. Compared to the standard retirement literature without mandatory retirement, there is a notion of aging, where time plays an explicit role in the consumption/investment decisions and wealth accumulation for optimal annuitization via an irreversible choice of early retirement time. We also thoroughly investigate various mathematical properties of variational inequality associated with early retirement for optimal annuitization before finite-horizon mandatory retirement.

설계조직의 프로젝트 수행역량 평가를 위한 측정항목 및 관리영역 도출

Recently, as construction projects are getting larger in scale and more complex, the performance at design phase has been more emphasized than past years. Also due to the limitless competition in design industry, it is essential for domestic deign firms to strengthen their capability of performing design projects. Assessing the capability of the design team is prerequisite for elevating the ability of design organization. To suggest the method of measuring the ability of the design team, the requirements of ISO 9001 and Key Process Area of CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) were explored and capability measuring items of design project were driven. To verify the capability measuring items suggested in this research, a questionnaire survey about the degree of performance and importance of capability measuring area was executed. As a results, 23 capability measuring items and 5 management realms of design projects were proposed.

HMD 기반 혼합현실 기술

최근 많은 종류의 HMD(Head mount display) 출시로 전시장 등 다양한 장소에서 가상현실을 체험할 수 있고, 포켓몬고와 같은 게임을 스마트폰을 통해 사용할 수 있게 됨에 따라 가상현실과 증강현실이 사용자들에게 일반화된 개념이 되어가고 있다. 이와 함께 마이크로소프트 홀로렌즈의 개발자 버전 출시를 통해 현실을 기반으로 가상현실과 같은 몰입감의 혼합현실을 제공하는 기술이 단순 컨셉트가 아니라 현실의 서비스로 실현되어 가고 있다. 본고에서는 가상현실, 증강현실의 일부 또는 독립적인 개념으로 분류되는 혼합현실, 특히 HMD 기반의 혼합현실 개념과 동향을 살펴보고, 한국전자통신연구원에서 개발된 HMD 기반 혼합현실 기술을 소개하고자 한다.
