In order to improve the location accuracy of a target, various methods for improving the performance of a single sensor node have been studied in sensor network. However, there is little research to improve the location accuracy using data fusion and sensor node deployment at system level. Therefore, this paper proposed a method to improve the location accuracy using data fusion and sensor node deployment. We implemented the proposed data fusion system and simulated various sensor node deployments. As a result, the proposed method improved the location accuracy of about 1.67m. In addition, we have found an optimal deployment that satisfies a required performance under limited sensor node resources.
HEVC 기반 초해상화를 이용한 비디오 부호화 효율 성능 분석

Since the resolutions of videos increase rapidly, there are continuing needs for effective video compression methods despite an increase in the transmission bandwidth. In order to satisfy such a demand, a reconstructive video coding (RVC) method by using a super resolution has been proposed. Since RVC reduces the resolution of the input video, when frames are compressed to the same size, the number of bits per pixel increases, thereby reducing coding artifacts caused by video coding. However, RVC method using super resolution is not effective in all target bitrates. Comparing the size of the loss generated while downsizing the resolution and the size of the loss caused by the video compression, only when the size of loss generated in the video compression is larger, RVC method can perform the improved compression performance compared to direct video coding. In particular, since HEVC has considerably higher compression performance than the previous standard video codec, it can be experimentally confirmed that the compression distortions become larger than the distortions of downsizing the resolution only in the very low-bitrate conditions. In this paper, we applied RVC based HEVC in various video types and measured the target bitrates that RVC method can be effectively applied.
초협대역 환경에서 영상전송 및 표적탐지를 위한 영상압축 전처리 방법에 대한 연구

Due to the continued demand for high-definition video, video compression technology is steadily developing and the High Efficiency Video Coding standard was established in 2013. However, despite the development of this compression technology, it is very difficult to smoothly transmit VGA-level videos in Ultra-narrowband environments. In this paper, the target information preprocessing algorithm is presented for smooth transmission of target images moving in forest or open-terrain in Ultra-narrowband environment. In addition, for algorithm verification, the target information preprocessing algorithm was simulated and the simulated results were compared with the video compression result without the algorithm being applied.

본 논문은 감시정찰 센서네트워크 환경에서 초소형 복합센서를 이용하여 적 또는 전장 환경에 대한 감시정찰 업무를 수행하는 무인 감시정찰 기술을 기반으로 한다. 감시 정찰 환경에서 센서를 통해 획득하는 환경 평가로서, 적군의 도보를 통한 침투 및 차량의 이동을 파악하고 경로를 도시하여 적군의 이동이나 작전 상황을 평가한다. 본 논문은 이러한 감시정찰 시나리오에 따른 상황을 추출하고, 해당 시나리오를 바탕으로 상황을 평가하기 위한 지능형 에이전트의 구조 및 설계 메커니즘을 제안하여 보다 효율적인 감시정찰 운용 및 수행을 위한 기반 기술로 활용한다.
