PMMA 나노 입자를 이용한 생분해성 필름 제조 및 물리적 특성

In this study, biodegradable films are prepared by using com starch, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), nanosized polymer particles (polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)), and additives. Glycerol (GL), xylitol (XL) tartaric acid (TA), and citric acid (CA) were used as additives. Nano-sized PMMA particles synthesized by the method of emulsion polymerization. The morphology and the physical properties such as tensile strength (TS), elongation (%E), degree of swelling (DS), and solubility (S) of biodegradable films were investigated. The results verified that with the increase in PMMA contents, the TS and DS values of films were increased, whereas %E and S values were decreased. Also, the biodegradation of films was carried out using the soil burial test.

We report the changes of the microwave reflection coefficients S$_{11}$ of copper(II)-phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films by using a near-field microwave microscope(NSMM) in order to understand the phase transition of CuPc. For a NSMM system, a high-quality microstrip resonator coupled with a dielectric resonator was used. CuPc thin films were prepared on the pre-heated glass substrates using a thermal evaporation method. The reflection coefficients S$_{11}$ of CuPc thin films were changed by the dependence on the substrate pre-heating temperatures. By comparing reflection coefficient S$_{11}$ and crystal structures, we found the phase transition of CuPc thin films from $\alpha$-phase to $\beta$-phase at the substrate heating temperature 200 $^{\circ}C$..

In this work, mass production of Bacillus licheniformis SCD121067 through medium optimization by statistical experimental method was studied. First, galactose, yeast extract and potassium phosphate dibasic were selected as carbon, nitrogen and phosphate sources for mass production of B. licheniformis SCD121067 by using one factor at a time method. Second, according to the result of Plackett-Burman experimental design, key factors was yeast extract and K₂HPO. Finally, the response surface methodology was performed to obtain the optimum concentrations of two selected variables. The optimized medium composition consisted of 20 g/L galactose, 36 g/L yeast extract, 0.41 g/L K₂HPO₄, 0.25 g/L Na₂CO₃, 0.4g/L MgSO₄ and 0.01g/L CaCl₂. Dry cell weight (15.4 g/L) by optimum production medium were increased 10 times, as compared to that determined with basic production medium (1.5 g/L). Fermentation conditions were examined for the mass production of B. licheniformis. The effect of temperature, agitation speed, pH and aeration rate on the mass production of B. licheniformis were also studied in a batch fermenter which was carried out in a 2.5 L bioreactor with a working volume of 1.5 L containing optimized production medium. As a result, dry cell weight of batch culture was 30.7 g/L at 42℃, 300 rpm, pH 8.0 and 2 vvm.

Indigenous malaria, formerly recognized as one of the unavoidable diseases, has been almost eliminated from this country for recent years. However, we must attend to imported malaria cases because of an increase in overseas travelers and workers to tropical countries where malaria is endemic and sometimes resistant to conventional drug therapy. Recently we experienced a case of imported falciparum malaria, which is resistant to CHLOROQUINE and FANSIDAR and cured by HALOFANTRINE and QUINIMAX.
