漢字是漢語學習的基礎, 也是外國人學漢語時最大的難点。如果從文字系統來說, 漢字是表意混合表音, 幷不是純粹的表意文字。世界上實際上幷不存在純粹的表意文字。漢字是代表漢語語素的, 每個漢字字形上可能有繁體和簡體, 甚至是歷代的異體字, 手頭字等; 發音上通常代表一個音節, 但偶爾也有雙音節字如리·촌等, 령外還有文白異讀·破音字·兩岸標准不同等問題。由于歷史的原因, 一個漢字通常代表好궤個不同的意義, 有些相關, 有些不直接相關。所以說要通曉漢字就算對中國人來說也不容易。在我們的語文敎育當中, 漢字是幼兒敎學的基本單位。漢語的辭書, 傳統上一般也是以字爲本位的, 所謂以字帶詞, 字頭后面加上詞條。在電子化多媒體的時代里, 漢語這種字本位的基礎敎學也應該加以優化。本文介紹『点畵流形』和『漢字1000』兩個相關的系統, 希望把漢字的學習근漢字的字源拉上關系, 以字形演變的動畵切入, 讓學生能구更快更好地掌握漢字系統的造字原理和字形變化。然后, 本文將討論在這個基礎上, 如何利用已建構的漢字知識庫, 爲學生提供不同的學習路徑, 讓漢字的學習更有針對性和更有成效, 爲進一步學習漢語提供堅實的基礎。 Chinese characters form the foundation of learning Chinese, and present the most difficulty to foreign learners. Chinese characters are not totally ideographic but a mixed system of ideographic plus phonetic signs. In reality, there is no purely ideographic writing system in the whole word. A Chinese character represents a morpheme of the language, which may have a traditional form or a simplified form, or various variant forms used through history and informal writing. It usually represents one syllable, but sometimes 2 such as 리 and촌 of foreign origin. Besides, related to character learning, there are also problems such as discrepancies between formal reading and colloquial reading, 1 character being differentiated as different morphemes so that more than one reading is allowed, and different standards in pronunciation across the Straits. Due to historical development, a character may represent different meanings, some of which are related and some not. So to familiarize with Chinese characters is definitely not an easy task even for the Chinese people. In Chinese primary language education, characters are the basic units to teach. Traditionally, Chinese dictionaries, are ordered by characters and words are ordered after their corresponding initial character in the character entries. In this digital and multimedia era, this kind of character-based fundamental education should be optimized. In this paper, “Dianhualiuxing” & “Chinese Characters 1000”, two related courseware systems produced for the Education Bureau of HKSAR will be introduced. It is hoped that the etymology and evolution of character form will be linked with the learning process through animation or so-called morphing, so that students can better grasp the formation principles and form evolution of characters. Then, on top of this, how to make use of the character knowledge base constructed in “Dianhualiuxing” to provide different learning paths for students to make character learning more focused and effective will be discussed, hoping that this will serve as a solid foundation to improve the learning of the Chinese language.

Cancer vaccine is an active immunotherapy to stimulate the immune system to mount a response against the tumor specific antigen. Working as a stimulant to the body's own immune system, cancer vaccines help the body recognize and destroy targeted cancers and may help to shrink advanced tumors. Research is currently underway to develop therapeutic cancer vaccines. It is also possible to develop prophylactic vaccines in the future. The whole cell approach to eradicate cancer has used whole cancer cells to make vaccine. In an early stage of this approach, whole cell lysate or a mixture of immunoadjuvant and inactivated cancer cells has been used. Improved vaccines are being developed that utilize cytokines or costimulatory molecules to mount an attack against cancer cells. In case of melanoma, these vaccines are expected to have a therapeutic effect of vaccine. Furthermore, it is attempting to treat stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer. Other vaccines are being developing that are peptide vaccine, recombinant vaccine and dendritic cell vaccine. Out of them, reintroduction of antigen-specific dendritic cells into patient and DNA vaccine are mostly being conducted. Currently, research and development efforts are underway to develop therapeutic cancer vaccine such as DNA vaccine for the treatment of multiple forms of cancers.

In this paper, a reconfigurable antenna is designed with dual switchable frequencies of 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. The antenna is operated by switching pin diodes for On/Off status. In order to design for EM simulation with accurate diode models, a de-embedding method is utilized. By extracting parasitic elements of the diode, the reconfigurable antenna is designed. From the experimental results, the implemented antenna operates at dual frequency by switching diode at 2.4 and 5.8 GHz.
