Vol.15 No.4
N/A The objectives of this study are first, to expand our understanding of relationship between magnetic properties and microstructural features such as grain size and texture, and second to reduce core loss of Fe-6.5%Si strip through optimizing heat treatment conditions. A rapid solidification technique, planar flow casting(PFC), was adopted to produce Fe-6.5%Si strips. The strips were heat treated under various conditions. The results show that heat treatment conditions can change not only grain size but also (200) texture formation on the strip surface. Variation in magnetic properties of Fe-6.5%Si strip is analyzed in terms of the change in grain size as well as (200) texture on the strip surface. The heat treatment conditions of 1100℃ over 2hr or 1150℃ 1∼2hr in N₂+ 5%H₂appear to minimize core loss of Fe-6.5%Si strips.

Vol.16 No.4
This research constructed property analysis for an high additional value construction materials. We try to utilize by the addition material of soil stabilizer. It was described to the material properties analysis of a sludge. A sample used 4 kinds of filtration cake which occurs by 4 companies and 3 kinds of sludge before filtration. ph of a sludge, a particle analysis and a scanning electron microscope observation were performed. We analyzed on the chemical ingredient by XRF, the phase by XRD, observed and analyzed the thermo-property of the sludge and the amount of the volatile constituent by TG-DTA.
Candida Parapsilosis Arthritis Involving the Ankle in a Diabetes Patient: A Case Report
Vol.64 No.6
Candida parapsilosis is a rare opportunistic fungal pathogen of the musculoskeletal region. Immune function of almost all patients is severely disturbed. Most reported cases of septic arthritis of joints by Candida involve the knee, especially Candida parapsilosis. To our knowledge, there has been only one case report of Candida parapsilosis involving the ankle presented on only plain radiography. We report a case of Candida parapsilosis arthritis involving the ankle in a diabetes patient which was shown on MR imaging.
Multidetector CT Findings of Retroarterial Reversed Intestinal Rotation in an Adult: A Case Report
Vol.64 No.4
Intestinal malrotation is an uncommon cause of abdominal pain in adults. More so, reversed intestinal rotation is one of the least common malrotation anomalies. A few cases of reversed intestinal rotation have been reported only in surgical and internal medicine literatures. To the best of our knowledge, MDCT findings concerning reversed intestinal rotation had never been reported. We present a 38-year-old man with retroarterial reversed intestinal rotation with MDCT findings.

Objective: To explore the performance of three-dimensional (3D) isotropic T2-weighted turbo spin-echo (TSE) sampling perfection with application optimized contrasts using different flip angle evolution (SPACE) sequence on a 3T system, for the evaluation of nerve root compromise by disc herniation or stenosis from central to extraforaminal location of the lumbar spine, when used alone or in combination with conventional two-dimensional (2D) TSE sequence. Materials and Methods: Thirty-seven patients who had undergone 3T spine MRI including 2D and 3D sequences, and had subsequent spine surgery for nerve root compromise at a total of 39 nerve levels, were analyzed. A total of 78 nerve roots (48 symptomatic and 30 asymptomatic sites) were graded (0 to 3) using different MRI sets of 2D, 3D (axial plus sagittal), 3D (all planes), and combination of 2D and 3D sequences, with respect to the nerve root compromise caused by posterior disc herniations, lateral recess stenoses, neural foraminal stenoses, or extraforaminal disc herniations; grading was done independently by two readers. Diagnostic performance was compared between different imaging sets using the receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis. Results: There were no statistically significant differences (p = 0.203 to > 0.999) in the ROC curve area between the imaging sets for both readers 1 and 2, except for combined 2D and 3D (0.843) vs. 2D (0.802) for reader 1 (p = 0.035), and combined 2D and 3D (0.820) vs. 3D including all planes (0.765) for reader 2 (p = 0.049). Conclusion: The performance of 3D isotropic T2-weighted TSE sequence of the lumbar spine, whether axial plus sagittal images, or all planes of images, was not significantly different from that of 2D TSE sequences, for the evaluation of nerve root compromise of the lumbar spine. Combining 2D and 3D might possibly improve the diagnostic accuracy compared with either one.
