Machine learning techniques using visual data have high usability in fields of industry and service such as scene recognition, fault detection, security and user analysis. Among these, user analysis through the videos from CCTV is one of the practical way of using vision data. Also, many studies about lightweight artificial neural network have been published to increase high usability for mobile and embedded environment so far. In this study, we propose the network combining the object detection and classification for mobile graphic processing unit. This network detects pedestrian and face, classifies age and gender from detected face. Proposed network is constructed based on MobileNet, YOLOv2 and skip connection. Both detection and classification models are trained individually and combined as 2-stage structure. Also, attention mechanism is used to improve detection and classification ability. Nvidia Jetson Nano is used to run and evaluate the proposed system.

Purpose: To compare postoperative outcomes according to surgical method in partially accommodative esotropia in patients over 4 years of age. Methods: We compared motor and sensory outcomes between conventional and augmented surgery in 66 patients. The postoperative follow-up period was at least 24 months. The formula for the amount of the rectus muscle recession was based on the distant angle deviation after hyperopic correction in the conventional group and the average amounts of the distant angle deviation with and without full correction of hyperopia in the augmented group. In addition, the conventional group was divided into 2 sub-groups to compare surgical outcomes. The A group consisted of patients who underwent surgery with the amount of surgical correction based on distant angle deviation after full hyperopic correction. The B group consisted of patients under the same condition after reduced hyperopic correction to achieve best corrected visual acuity (BCVA). Results: Among the patients who had an ocular alignment less than 10 PD, orthophoria was significantly higher in the conventional group than in the augmented group on the last follow-up. When comparing the 2 conventional sub-groups, the postoperative stereoacuity was better in group B than in group A. Among patients with a postoperative overcorrected alignment of more than 10 PD who underwent augmented surgery, 75% showed decreased postoperative stereoacuity compared to preoperative stereoacuity. Conclusions: In partially accommodative esotropia in patients over 4 years of age, conventional surgery compared to augmented surgery after reduced hyperopic correction is better in order to achieve BCVA for postoperative stereoacuity as well as ocular alignment.

Brown tumor is a bone disease that arises in the setting of increased osteoclastic activity and fibroblastic proliferation in the involved bone. It is well recognized as serious complication of hyperparathyroidism. Brown tumor is uncommon, and brown tumor with secondary hyperparathyroidism resulting from chronic renal failure has rarely been reported. We recently experienced a case of a 28-year-old Korean woman with chronic renal failure caused by chronic glomerulonephritis, on hemodialysis for nine years. She has been hospitalized with left shoulder pain for two years. Image studies showed multiple cystic masses, and both suspicious marked thinning and partial destruction of the cortex on the head of the left humerus. Histopathologic analysis of the mass lesion showed a fibrotic capsule, hemosiderin pigmentation, and giant cell, all characteristic of brown tumor. A subtotal parathyroidectomy was done without surgery of the bony lesion (brown tumor), with successful results. We report this case with a brief review of the literature.

기계 학습은 인간의 지능을 아직 일부만 모델링하여 활용하는 기술임에도 불구하고 다양한 기술 분야에서 새로운 가능성을 열어주는 미래 시장의 핵심이다. 상용 네트워크 보안 시스템은 특정규칙들을 정해 놓고 규칙에 어긋난 정보에 대하여 보안 위험이 있을 수 있다고 판단을 한다. 하지만 규칙을 잘 정의해 놓은 시스템에서 보안 위험이라고 경보가 나는 경우의 80% 이상이 일반적으로 오탐이다. 상용 네트워크 보안 시스템에 기계 학습을 활용하면 사람이 규칙으로 정의하기 어려운 정보의 내재 의미를 스스로 학습하여 분류에 활용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이처럼 네트워크 공격 중 이상 공격 탐지에 기계 학습을 활용한 연구들에 대해 살펴보도록 하겠다.

With growing interest in disabled students" right to education, it is necessary to evaluate school facilities by grasping from the user"s point of view, rather than just meeting legal standards. Methods of study were as follows. 1) Students with wheelchair use disabilities were selected for investigation and their behaviors were analyzed. 2) The general characteristics of those surveyed (gender, year of birth, major and grade, disability type, grade and duplication disorder, cause of disability, in-school transport method, type of helper for disabled students) and major behaviors that occured within the university were investigated. 3) A case study was conducted by preparing a detailed action checklist for each major behavior, and a face-to-face or wire interview was conducted if the explanation was insufficient. Some students conducted an observation survey for in-depth analysis of behavior. Konkuk University received an excellent rating for its evaluation of educational welfare support for disabled university students in 2017, but Konkuk University"s wheelchair-using disabled students still feel uncomfortable using convenience facilities. Therefore, it can be seen that convenience facilities should be inspected in general and installed properly and more.

아시아 외환위기 이후 한국의 빈부 격차가 심해지면서, 최저임금제도의 효과와 관련한 연구가 많이 이루어졌다. 대부분의 연구는 최저임금제의 부정적 효과인 실업의 발생에 집중되었다. 이 연구는 최저임금제가 빈곤층을 줄이는 효과가 있는지를 분석한다. 2003-2008 기간의 한국노동연구원 패널자료(KLIPS)를 임의효과 패널 프로빗 모형으로 추정한 결과, 한국의 최저임금제는 빈곤층이 될 확률을 낮추는 효과가 있었던 것으로 실증되었다. The effects of the minimum wage policy have been controversial in Korea with an increasing gap between the rich and the poor since the Asian financial crisis. Most studies in Korea have focused on the disemployment effects of higher minimum wages and the negative effects of the policy in Korea. This study looks at the possible effects of the minimum wage policy on reducing poverty rates, as measured by the number of people who fall under the defined poverty threshold. We utilize a binary probit model to analyze the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study data and find that a higher hourly minimum wage can reduce the probability of an individual falling under the poverty line.
