The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aqua exercise on women 50 years of age or older with knee degenerative arthritis, and then examining the therapeutic value of aqua exercise in degenerative arthritis of the knee. The subjects of the study were 115 residents 50 years of age or older who had been diagnosed as degenerative arthritis of the knee by doctors from medical institutions and applied for the aqua exercise program in the Public Health Care Center in Suseong-gu in 2006 and 2007. Experiments were conducted to all the subjects with the application of the 8-week aqua exercise program (2 times a week, 50 minutes a time), designed in the study, and the differences before and after the aqua exercise were compared through questionnaires for measuring the state of the body such as the knee extension angles, weight, body fat, and abdominal obesity. The data was analyzed by t-test and the Wilcoxon method through SPSS 14.0 and the statistical significance level ${\alpha}$ was set at 0.05 and 0.01. The results of the study are as the following. First, In comparison of before and after the aqua exercise, there was improvement in the extension angle of the right knee(p<0.01), while there was some improvement in the extension angle of the left knee, it was not significant. Second, In comparison of before and after the aqua exercise there were statistically significant differences in weight(p<0.05), body fat ratio, and abdominal obesity(p<0.01). The results of this study showed that the aqua exercise program to female patients with knee degenerative arthritis significantly increased the extension angle of the knee. Therefore it is thought that aqua exercise is an effective meditating method to improve their symptoms of female patients 50 years of age or older
힐버트 변환을 이용한 디지털 모드형성기용 위상 천이기 설계

본 논문은 스파이럴안테나용 디지털 모드형성기에 적용할 디지털 위상천이기로서 힐버트 변환(Hilbert transform)을 이용하였다. 힐버트 변환된 신호는 입력신호의 모든 주파수 성분을 90° 위상천이 시키는 성질을 갖는다. 힐버트 변환은 콘벌루션 형태 혹은 FFT-IFFT 형태로 구현할 수 있다. 여기서는 FFT-IFFT 형태의 힐버트 변환 알고리즘에 대해서 원하지 않는 주파수 성분과 잡음에 따른 위상천이 특성을 분석하고, 다른 방식의 위상천이기와 비교하고자 한다. In this paper, Hilbert transform was used to digital phased shifter for digital mode-former in the input port of spiral antenna. All frequency components of input sinusoidal signal and its Hilbert transformed signal have a phase difference of 90 degree. Hilbert transform can be implemented by convolution or FFT-IFFT combination. The effects of unwanted frequency component and noise are analyzed with Hilbert transform based on FFT-IFFT combination and compared with simulation results of other type phase shifter.

MPEG 표준화 그룹에서는 서로 다른 여러 기존의 규격을 특정 응용 서비스의 목적으로 조합하여 프로파일 개념을 확장한 하나의 독립 규격으로 새롭게 제정해 나가는 추세로 나아가고 있으며 이러한 움직임의 하나가 MPEG-A(MPEG-Application) 멀티미디어 응용 표준화 활동이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 MPEG-A에서 제안하는 MAF 및 사용자 정의 MAF를 쉽게 저작할 수 있는 도구를 구현하였다. 설계 부분은 Formatter, MPEG-7 Authoring Tool, 메타 데이터 Encoding Tool, XMT-A를 통한 MP4 Encode로 구성하였고, 저작자는 사용자 요구에 따른 MAF를 저작하여 제공할 수 있도록 한다.
건강한 한국 성인에서 lipoprotein lipase 유전자의 유전적 다형성이 혈중 지질농도와 체질량 지수에 미치는 영향

N/A Background : Lipoprotein lipase(LPL) plays a pivotal role in triglyceride-rich lipoprotein metabolism. It removes TG-rich lipoprotein from circulation by hydrolysing TG and produces active form of HDL. It also affects the development and maintenance of obesity by regulating the fatty acid metabolism of the adipose tissue. Many studies about the association of the genetic variation of LPL and dyslipidemia have been performed, but the results were not consistent. We tried to characterize the phenotypes of the LPL genetic variation in Korean. Methods : Healthy Korean adults (n=110) were genotyped for Hind III/Pvu II RFLP and Ser447Ter mutation of the LPL gene by PCR-digestion method. We investigated the association of the genetic variations with the lipids, the lipoprotein concentrations and the body mass index(BMI). Results : The allele frequencies of Hind III RFLP, Pvu II RFLP and Ser447Ter mutation were H1:H2=33%:67%, P1:P2=40%:60% and Ser447:Ter447=90%:10%. Ser447Ter mutation carriers had higher HDL cholesterol level than non-carriers (59±10mg/dl versus 53±11mg/dl, p=0.049) and the Pvu II RFLP is associated with increased body mass index.(P1P1:P1P2:P2P2 = 22.1±2.0 kg/m2: 23.5±2.7 kg/m2: 24.5±2.6 kg/m2, p=0.003) Conclusion : The genetic variations of the LPL gene in healthy Korean adult resulted in increased HDL cholesterol and increased BMI. These results were different from previous studies. This difference may reflect the racial difference from the diet and the linkage disequilibrium (Korean J Med 58:57-66, 2000)

This paper presents a study on the use of improved space-vector modulation of VSI employing only four switches, four body diodes. Different switching sequence strategy for vector control for inverter fault mode are described. The influence of different switching patterns at same modulation index and improved PWM method is proposed. The proposed PWM is compared with conventional PWM. Simulation and experimental results are presented.
언더 샘플링과 FFT를 이용한 정현파 신호의 실시간 주파수 검출

This paper proposes an algorithm that detects in real time the frequency of a sinusoidal input signal whose frequency varies in a wide range using under-sampling technique and FFT algorithm. A sinusoidal input signal is under-sampled by three different frequencies below the input signal frequency, and then its frequency is detected by applying FFT algorithm to the sampled signals. The gap between these three different sampling frequencies, which is determined by the number of FFT points, sampling frequency and the maximum input frequency, is important for detecting exactly the input frequency. The proposed frequency detection algorithm was modeled and implemented using Mathworks Matlab and Xilinx System Generator, respectively. Through simulations with 25.6㎒ sampling frequency and 0.3㎒ gap of sampling frequency in 100~500㎒ band, the implemented circuit was verified to generate the same results with the Matlab model, and the frequency of input signal with SNR over 14㏈ was detected exactly by the proposed algorithm.
