Linitis plastica of the colon is an uncommon presentation of primary colorectal cancer. This entity of colorectal cancer is characterized by a diffuse infiltrating tumor with desmoplastic reaction and poor prognosis. Although widespread infiltration is the main feature of linitis plastica, the tumor extending to more than 2 segments of the colon is uncommon. We report a case of primary linitis plastica involving the entire colon, ileum and appendix. The clinical characteristics are discussed with a review of literatures. This study deals with the numerical analysis of the pressure, temperature contour and flow pattern in the IHVAC (integrated heat, ventilation and air conditioning) unit for optimization of the space packaging. The IHVAC unit is designed for the Green Home that is an energy saving apartment house. In order to optimize package arrangement of the units, a numerical analysis has been conducted for the IHVAC unit with three different shapes of package. Throughout the numerical simulation of pressure and thermal flow field in the IHVAC unit, it is proposed that optimal module package cases on the flow patterns, pressure and thermal distribution.

본 연구에서는 에너지 저감형 공동주택인 그린홈에 적용하기 위하여 설계된 통합형 공기조화기인 IHVAC (Integrated HVAC) 유닛 내부의 열 유동 분포 특성에 관한 수치적 분석을 다루었다. IHVAC 유닛은 열교환기, 열 회수를 위한 전열 교환기, 가습 장치, 블로어로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구 목적을 수행하기 위하여 기본 설계 사양의 IHVAC와 이를 개선한 2 가지의 IHVAC 시스템에 대한 수치적 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. IHVAC 시스템 내부의 압력 및 열 유동장의 수치적 해석을 통하여, 시스템 내부의 유동 패턴, 온도 및 압력 분포가 최적인 시스템 구성 방법을 도출하였다. The IHVAC unit is comprised of a heat exchanger, a heat exchanger for low temperature waste heat recovery, a humidifier and blower. For this aim, a numerical analysis has been conducted for a basic designed IHVAC system and two improved IHVAC systems than basic design. Throughout the numerical simulation of pressure and thermal flow fields in the IHVAC system, it is proposed that optimal system packaging for the flow patterns, pressure and thermal distribution.

Background/Aims: Toll-like receptors (TLRs) represent a pattern recognition receptors with an ability of specific recognition of pathogens. TLRs appear to respond to pathogens and induce NF- kB activation. TLR2 and 4 seem to be related to the initiation of immune response against gram negative and positive bacteria. We investigated the effect of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection on the expression of TLRs on the gastric mucosa. Methods: For 35 endoscopic gastric mucosa samples, histologic grading of H. pylori infection and inflammatory cell infiltration were performed. The mRNA expression of TLR2, 3, and 4 was examined by RT-PCR. Immunohistochemistry demonstrated the distribution of TLR2 and 4 in gastric mucosal biopsies. Results: H. pylori positive gastric mucosa expressed higher TLR4/GAPDH ratio than H. pylori negative gastric mucosa (p=0.035), while no significant difference in the expression of TLR2 and 3 was detected (p=0.129, p=0.176). The severity of neutrophil infiltration showed a significant positive correlation with TLR4/GAPDH ratio (p=0.045, r=0.342). Immunohistochemistry using anti-TLR4 and anti-TLR2 antibody revealed the expression of TLR4 in the epithelial cells of H. pylori-infected gastric mucosa. Conclusions: H. pylori infection induces TLR4 expression in the human gastric epithelium, which suggests a certain role of TLR4 in the mucosal inflammatory reaction to H. pylori infection. Background/Aims: The controlled attenuation parameter (CAP), based on transient elastography, is widely used for noninvasive assessment of the degree of hepatic steatosis (HS). We investigated the correlation of the degree HS between CAP and ultrasound (US) in patients with HS. Methods: In total, 986 patients with US-based HS who underwent transient elastography within 1 month were evaluated. The US-based grade of HS was categorized as mild (grade 1), moderate (grade 2), or severe (grade 3). Results: The CAP was significantly correlated with the US-based grade of HS (r = 0.458, p < 0.001). The median CAP value of each US-based HS grade showed a positive correlation with grade (271.1, 303.7, and 326.7 dB/m for grades 1, 2, and 3). In a multivariate analysis, the US-based HS grade, body mass index, serum albumin, alanine aminotransferase, and total cholesterol, and liver stiffness were all significantly correlated with the CAP value (all p < 0.05). The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves for grade 2 to 3 and grade 3 HS were 0.749 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.714 to 0.784) and 0.738 (95% CI, 0.704 to 0.772). The optimal cut-off CAP values to maximize the sum of the sensitivity and specificity for grade 2 to 3 and grade 3 HS were 284.5 dB/m (sensitivity 78.6%, specificity 61.7%) and 298.5 dB/m (sensitivity 84.6%, specificity 55.6%). Conclusions: The correlation of the degree of HS between CAP and US was significantly high in patients with HS, and the optimal cut-off CAP values for grade 2 to 3 and grade 3 HS were 284.5 and 298.5 dB/m.

라즈베리파이와 같은 경량 시스템이 보급되면서, 기존의 서버 중심의 분석 기법에서 경량 시스템에서 경량/순간 분석을 하고, 누적/중량 분석은 서버에서 수행할 수 있는 계층적 협업 분석에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 이를 통해 IoT Thing 을 논리적으로 묶어서 Cloud of Things 과 같이 센서 데이터 수집/처리를 용이하게 하기 위해 구현된 계층적 협업 분석 SW 에 대한 시험 검증 사례에 대한 연구 내용을 담고 있다.
