Smooth muscle is widespread in all viscera and vessels, and presents diverse and different physiological characteristics according to its type(visceral or vascular, etc.), organ, and species. So many scientific attractions are focused on the smooth muscle to know its various physiological properties. In this study mesenteric arterial smooth muscle cell of rabbit was chosen to clarify the regulation mechanism of large conductance Ca-activated K current by adrenergic system. Whole-cell mode of patch clamp technique was used. The results from experimental studies were as follows : 1. In mesenteric arterial smooth muscle cell large oscillartory outward currents were recorded in depolarized state of membrance potential. 2. This outward current was reduced by depletion of intracellular calcium ion. 3. Alpha 1 and 2-adrenergic agonist(phenylephrine, clonidine) and antagonist(prazocin, yohimbin) did not affect these currents. 4. Beta adrenergic agonist(isoproterenol) markedly increased both amplitude and oscillartory characteristics of these currents. The effect of beta adrenergic agonist was almost antagonized by beta antagonist(propranolol). From these results it is suggested that large conductance Ca-activated K currents in mesenteric arterial smooth muscle cells are regulated by β-adrenergic agonist but not by α -adrenergic agonist.
Isolation and Identification of Tyrosinase Inhibitors from Loranthus tanakae

Various bioactive substances are found in Loranthus tanakae, including quercetin 3-rhamnoside (1), kaempferol 3-rhamnoside (2), rhamnetin 3-rhamnoside (3), and rhamnocitrin 3-rhamnoside (4), which inhibit tyrosinase. These compounds are mainly found in the EtOAc fraction of L. tanakae extract and demonstrate higher rates of tyrosinase inhibition than ascorbic acid, which was used as a control. Our results suggest that L. tanakae extracts can be utilized in skin whitening cosmetics.
인체 자궁동맥 평활근 세포의 포타슘통로 활동성에 미치는 난포호르몬의 효과

Estrogen is a female sex hormone secreted from ovaries and adrenals and has been shown to alter vascular smooth muscle activity through endothelium dependent and endothelium independent mechanisms, such as nitric oxide and prostacyclin production, inhibition of receptor- and/or voltage-dependent Ca^(++) channels, and activation of Ca^(++)-activated K^(+) channels. In this study it was tested whether estrogen affects the uterine hemodynamics. Human uterine arteries were obtained from patients undergoing hysterectomy for various surgical indications. The tissue preparations of arterial wall were digested by proteolytic enzymes such as papain and collagenase to obtain single smooth muscle cells. Maxi-K^(+) currents were easily isolated from the other currents because of their large conductance and Ca^(2+) sensitivity. Using patch clamp technique, the effects of estrogen on the maxi-K^(+) channel were examined. In whole-cell mode, the maxi-K^(+) currents were increased by estrogen (10 ng/ml) application and the effects were maximal at 15 minutes after application. In inside-out mode, single channel activities of maxi-K^(+) channels were also increased by estrogen application. These results strongly suggest that estrogen directly increases the maxi-K channel activities and it may act as an important modulator of hemodynamics in uterine artery.
Neural Radiance Field 와 COLMAP 을 통한 3D Reconstruction 결과 비교

3D 모델을 구현하고 표현하는 두 가지 기술인 3D Reconstruction과 View Synthesis 기술에 있어서 최근 각 광받고 있는 View Synthesis 기술인 Neural Radiance Field(NeRF)와 NeRF의 기반이 되는 3D Reconstruction 기 술인 COLMAP을 각각 살펴보고, 동일한 이미지 데이터를 기반으로 얻어진 결과에 대해서 정성적으로 비 교해본다.
