        경추부 신경근병증에서 저강도 자극 피부절 체성감각 유발전위의 유용성

        Objectives: To investigate diagnostic usefulness of dermatomal somatosensory evoked potentials (DSEP) in the evaluation of cervical compressive radiculopathy using lower stimulation intensity. Methods: Sixty-five patients (36 male, 29 female, and 54.2±10.4 years old) with posterior neck pain were studied with C6 and C7 DSEP with intensity of 1.5 and 2.5 times sensory threshold , respectively and needle electromyography (EMG). The compressive radiculopathy was diagnosed by clinical symptoms and signs with cervical MRI or surgical findings. Results: The C6 nerve root compressions were noted in 42 cases. The C7 nerve compressions were noted in 34 cases. The diagnostic sensitivity of cervical radiculopathy by 1.5 times sensory threshold was 33.3% and 38.2% in C6 and C7 compressive radiculopathy. The diagnositc sensitivity by 2.5 times sensory threshold was 23.8% and 23.5% in C6 and C7 compressive radiculopathy. Whereas the diagnostic specificity of cervical radiculopathy by 1.5 times sensory threshold was 69.2% and 75.0% in C6 and C7 compressive radiculopathy. The diagnostic specificity of cervical radiculopathy by 2.5 times sensory threshold was 76.9% and 83.3% in C6 and C7 compressive radiculopathy. Conclusion: Although not statistically significant, DSEP using low stimulus intensity showed higher sensitivity to diagnose cervical radiculopathy than high stimulus intensity in C6 and C7 compressive radiculopathy.

        Effect of the Position of Immobilization Upon the Tensile Properties in Injured Achilles Tendon of Rat

        Objective To examine the effect of the posture of immobilization upon the tensile properties in injured Achilles tendon of rat for an initial period of immobilization.Methods Forty-two Sprague-Dawley rats were used in the present study. Eighteen rats received a total tenotomy of the right Achilles tendon to mimic total rupture and were divided into three groups comprising of 6 rats each. Ankles of group A were immobilized at 60° of plantarflexion. Ankles of group B were immobilized at neutral position. Whereas, those of group C were immobilized at 60° of dorsiflexion. Other 18 rats received hemitenotomy to mimic partial rupture and were divided into three groups. The remaining 6 rats were kept free as control. After 14 days, we dissected the tendons and analyzed maximum force, stiffness, and energy uptake during pulling of the tendons until they ruptured. The tendons of 6 rats in each group and control were reserved for histology. Picrosirius staining was done for the analysis of collagen organization.Results In total tenotomy, tensile properties were significantly different between the control and the intervention groups (p<0.05). Group C showed relatively higher values than the groups A and B with respect to tensile properties (p>0.05). In partial tenotomy, tensile properties were significantly different between the control and the intervention groups (p<0.05). Group C showed significantly higher value than other intervention groups in terms of maximum force and energy uptake (p<0.05). The semiquantitative histologic grading scores were assigned for collagen organization. The scores for dorsiflexion posture were higher than the ones for plantarflexion.Conclusion Dorsiflexion posture in partial ruptured Achilles tendon showed better functional recovery than other immobilized postures. In total ruptured case, the tensile properties showed increasing tendency in dorsiflexion posture.

        실어증 환자에서 선다형 이름 맞추기 검사의 유용성

        The aim of this study is to investigate the usefulness of the multiple-choice name matching test (MC-NMT) in adults with aphasia by comparing the Korean version of the Boston Naming Test (K-BNT) and subsets of the Korean version of the Western Aphasia Battery (K-WAB). Thirty-nine patients who suffer from aphasia participated in the study. All patients were examined by the K-BNT, MC-NMT and K-WAB. The MC-NMT consisted of the 30 original BNT object stimuli which were presented with four response choices (written words) with similar frequency, including one correct and three incorrect responses. Cards containing the drawings were presented to the patient one at time. An item was passed if the patient chose the correct response within 10 seconds. We subdivided two groups into a total group and a low K-BNT group (at and below 15 points). We evaluated the correlation between the K-BNT, MC-NMT score and production, naming, repetition, comprehension, reading and writing scores in subsets of the K-WAB. There was a highly positive correlation between the K-BNT score and naming score of the K-WAB in total patients. However, the MC-NMT was highly correlated with reading scores in the K-WAB. In low score K-BNT patients, the K-BNT strongly correlated with production, naming and repetition scores of the K-WAB. These findings mean that K-BNT reflects motor language function. However, the MC-NMT was strong correlated comprehension, reading and writing of the K-WAB. This finding reflects sensory language function. We suggest that the combination of K-BNT and newly developed MC-NMT will be useful to evaluate speech functions in aphasic patients.

      • 이동컴퓨터를 위한 플래쉬 메모리 저장기법

        이동 컴퓨터는 크기와 무게 등의 물리적인 한계 때문에 전력, 디스플레이, 저장장치등에서 개인용 컴퓨터와는 다른 제약을 가진다. 특히 저장장치는 기존의 하드디스크와 같이 크고 무거우며 전력 소모가 큰 저장매체는 사용하기 힘들다. 따라서 크기가 작고, 전력소모가 작은 매체를 필요로 하게 되는데, 현재 가장 적합한 것으로 볼 수 있는 것으로 플래쉬 메모리가 있다. 플래쉬 메모리는 이동 컴퓨터에 적합한 장점을 가지고 있지만, 반대로 플래쉬 메모리의 특성 때문에 오는 단점도 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하는 저장기법을 제안한다.

        초등학교 교사의 교수행동과 신념에 관한 사례 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate on the relevance of teaching behaviors and beliefs in elementary school teachers. For this purpose, three research methods were conducted; instruction observation, videotaping and recording, interviewing. And then data were analyzed by the analysis criteria for teachers\ teaching behaviors and beliefs. The analysis criteria were motivation, question, learning management, objectives attainment strategy, explanation, and construction of instructional contents. The research subjects in this study were three teachers in the H elementary school in Chung-buk. As a result, teachers behaviored somewhat differently to \ ideal\ teaching beliefs in the process of teaching. That is to say, the beliefs of teachers reflected two distinctive aspects on teaching and learning; the \ ideal\ view is related to their educational experiences in teacher education programs and the \ real\ view is related to their present teaching environments such as the teaching schedule, the school evaluation systems, etc. This means that teaching behaviors are not necessarily based on the teachers\ ideal beliefs and philosophies. In other words, teaching behaviors are generally based on the teachers\ \ real\ beliefs and philosophies. So, researches of teaching effectiveness should be focused on the congruency of teaching behaviors(real beliefs) and beliefs(ideal beliefs). Consequently, focusing on teacher\ s mental, philosophical aspect as well as teaching skill is to be necessary in the initial teacher education programs. 이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 교사의 교수행동과 신념간의 관련성을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 초등학교 교사 3명을 대상으로 수업 관찰, 녹화 및 녹음, 교사와의 면담을 통하여 교사의 교수행동과 신념간의 관계를 분석하였다. 교수행동과 신념의 분석 영역은 동기유발, 질문, 학습관리, 수업목표 달성 전략, 설명, 수업내용의 구조화 등의 6가지로 한정하였다. 연구의 결과, 교사들은 대체로 교수행동에 대한 이상적 신념을 가지고 있으면서도 학교 현장의 다양한 현실적 문제 때문에 이상적 신념의 왜곡된 형태인 실제적 신념을 갖고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 즉 수업의 과정에서 표출되는 교수행동과 교사 자신이 갖고 있는 신념간에 괴리가 있음을 보여주었다. 따라서 교수행동과 신념간의 관련성 연구의 확대와 더불어 향후 교사교육에서 기법적 측면보다는 교사의 심리, 철학적 측면에 보다 많은 관심과 배려가 요구된다.
