진성대의 균상 유두종과 공존한 가성대에 발생한 반전성 유두종 1예

Inverted papilloma is a pathologic subtype of papilloma that mainly occurs in the sinonasaltract. Laryngeal inverted papilloma is extremely rare, and only a few cases have been reportedso far. A 78-year-old male visited our clinic complaining of voice change that lasted fivemonths. The rigid laryngoscopy showed multiple exophytic papillomatous masses in both vo-cal folds, and the left false vocal fold showed slight protruding appearance without a definitemass shadow. We performed laryngeal microsurgery with CO2 laser. While the masses inboth true vocal folds were pathologically diagnosed as fungiform papillomas, the left false vo-cal fold was diagnosed as an inverted type. We report this very rare and unique case of laryn-geal papilloma with a relevant literature review.

Calcific tendinitis of the longus colli muscle (CTLC) is an inflammatory disease caused by the deposition of calcium hydroxyapatite crystal in longus colli muscle and its tendon. The incidence of it is rare, only a few cases have been reported so far, and its common symptoms and sings were neck pain, limitation of neck motion, dysphagia and odynophagia and so on. Clinically, it can be masqueraded as retropharyngeal abscess on account of its non-specific clinical presentations and rare incidence. We encountered a 39-year-old woman with five days duration of progressive bilateral neck pain, limitation of neck motion that was finally diagnosed as retropharyngeal abscess accompanied by the CTLC. We report this rare and didactic case with a brief review of relevant literature.

Many nations in the world competed to execute a satellite broddcasting, a lion of modern scientific techinques, on the ground of culture, politics and economy. The satellite broadcasting didn't obviously innovate the productive ways by mass media, the communicative messenger of information. Although the satellite broadcasting didn't escape the category of the existing broadcastings, it was spread repidly and brought great changes of all provinces. As this powerful satellite broadcasting balanced all the cultures beyond the national boundary, so it had the globe degrade a cultural village. One regional culture was exposed not to natinal unit-culture but to a international culture. That was a serious issue. Therefore, the developing coutry, which didn't have some hare-were or soft-were and could not defend its traditional culture, was busy protecting its own traditional culture in most of international organizations. In view of there facts, we foced the same situations. These situations began to be revealed by performances of AFKN's SATNET broadcasting from Oct. 4. 1984. In history of techology, the development of technology always preceded establishment of these relevant laws but AFKN was not controlled by these laws. AFKN used our electric waves as a part of our territory. Therefore AFKN had to obey our laws.

Schwannoma is a type of benign neurogenic tumor which may be derived from the nerve sheath. It is common in the head and neck region, but it occurs relatively rarely in the larynx. The laryngeal schwannoma can occur in the false vocal cord, aryepiglottic fold and epiglottis etc. The typical feature of it is a round submucosal well-encapsulated mass, and papillomatous appearance of its surface is extremely rare. A 76-year-old male came to our clinic with voice change and globus sense. The rigid laryngoscopy showed round papillomatous mass in the interarytenoid area. We performed laryngeal microsurgery, and he was pathologically diagnosed as schwannoma. We report an interesting and didactic case that has an atypical feature of laryngeal schwannoma with relevant literature review.

음성인식 로봇을 위한 동시통화검출 기반의 강인한 음성 끝점 검출

본 논문에서는 반향이 큰 로봇 환경에 강인한 음성 끝점 검출 방법을 제안한다. 양방향 대화 로봇과 같이 반향대 신호 비가 -5 dB 이하인 반향환경에서는, 반향제거기의 성능이 저하되어 사용자 음성 에너지와 비슷한 크기의 에너지를 갖는 잔여반향이 생긴다. 잡음에 강인한 기존의 음성 끝점검출 방법이라도, 사용자 음성과 비슷한 수준의 에너지를 갖는 잔여반향은 음성으로 오검출하기 때문에 정확한 음성 끝점검출이 어렵다. 반향 환경에 강인한 끝점검출을 위해, 본 논문에서는 음성/반향 구간 판별에 좋은 성능을 보이는 동시통화검출의 결과를 기존의 음성끝점검출 방법과 AND 연산하여 음성끝점검출기를 구성하였다. 제안하는 방법의 평가를 위해 반향이 큰 환경에서 고립단어 인식을 실험하였고, 다양한 실험환경에서 기존 음성 끝점검출 방법보다 평균 30 % 이상의 인식 성능 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. This paper presents a robust speech end-point detector using double talk detection in echoic conditioned speech recognition robot. The proposed method consists of combining conventional end-point detector result and double talk detector result. We have tested the proposed method in isolated word recognition system under echoic conditioned environment. As a result, the proposed algorithm shows superior performance of 30 % to the available techniques in the points of speech recognition rates.

오늘날 우리는 지구화(globalization)시대에 살고 있다. 이런 상황에서 주목 되는 것은 새로운 문제들뿐만 아니라 ‘낡은’ 문제들이 더욱 강화되는 현상이다. 지 구화와 함께 전통적인 것으로 여겨졌던 인종적, 민족적, 종교적 갈등과 적의 (hostility)들이 심화되고 있다. 이 적의가 구체적 행동으로 표출될 경우, 그것은 매 우 직접적/극단적인 폭력 시위나 테러의 형태를 띤다. 적대와 폭력의 심화는 말 그 대로 ‘지구 전체’에 걸쳐있으며, 이런 의미에서 이를 적대의 지구화(globalization of antagonism)라고 부를 수 있다. 나는 현대 정치철학자인 샹탈 무페(Chantal Mouffe)와 에티엔 발리바르(Étienne Balibar)가 문제 삼는 바를 적대의 지구화 현상과 연결할 수 있다고 본다. 무페와 발리바르의 사유는 적대의 문제에 시사하는 바가 크며, 따라서 이를 자세히 살펴보 는 작업이 필요하다. 나는 정치적 문제와 관련하여 중요한 두 개념, 즉 정치 공동 체(political community)과 시민권(citizenship)의 개념을 중심으로 이들의 논의를 요 약하고, 이들의 차이점과 유사점을 정리할 것이다. 그리고 특히 유사점에 주목하여, 이들이 제시하는 적대의 지구화 현상에 맞서는 정치의 조건의 내용을 구체화 할 것이다. 무페와 발리바르의 정치철학은 폭력과 적대의 문제에 대한 적극적인 이론 적 개입이며, 이런 시도는 우리로 하여금 정치의 조건들을 다시금 숙고하게 만든다.

Neoplasm from the accessory parotid glands (APG) rarely occurs, and its malignancy rate ishigher than other salivary glands. The B-cell lymphoma from APG is rare, with less than 2%of all malignancy in APG. The mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, asubtype of B-cell lymphoma, tends to be a localized disease with an indolent clinical course. It is very rare for MALT lymphoma to develop bilaterally in the APG and the parotid glandswithout an autoimmune disease. A 43-year-old male presented with superficial masses in thebilateral infra-zygomatic regions, and was pathologically confirmed as MALT lymphoma byexcisional biopsy. We report this very rare and interesting case with a brief literature review.
