The objectives of this study were to identify the optimal mix of foam concrete with the low-strength and high-flow for the repairing ground subsidence situation emergently by utilizing a large amount of industrial by-products and evaluate the possibility by applying it to the site. The factors of the experiment were the mixing ratio of mixing water and a foaming agent and the mixing ratio of foam over paste volume. The optimal mix identified by the experiment was applied to the field and basic properties were evaluated. The results of the experiment showed that the optimal mixing ratio of mixing water and the foaming agent was 10%. Moreover, when the mixing ratio of pre-foam over paste volume was 170%, it satisfied the target. However, to ensure stable quality when applying to the field, the foam mixing ratio was set 140% for the field application. The field application test of foam concrete with the low-strength and high-flow using an eco-friendly binder satisfied all target performances. Therefore, the possibility of using it as a mixture and construction method for a ground repair system is confirmed. However, there was a quality deviation between the upper part and the lower part due to the separation between foam and paste. Consequently, further studies are needed to improve it.

Since 1966, practical use of active heavy analogs of the hormones has been also worked out as an insecticide and brought the features of it to the light as cocoon producer. On the other hand, it is expected to afford the increase of silk productivity resulted from control of the fifth larval period by delaying normal development. With these regards, some of analogs have been tried to apply practically to the silkworm for an increase of cocoon productivity. One of the synthesized juvenile hormone available is "Manina". And it is presently used for the increase of silk productivity in Korea. For the practical use, it is very essential the varietal differences in the increase of silk productivity by topical application was tested and the obtained results are summarized as follows. 1. It was evident that the fifth larval period was extended by topical application after 48 hrs. of the last ecdysis, ranging from 8 hrs. to one day, as compared to the control. 2. In pupal rates, there is no significance between control and treatments. It proved that there was no toxicity to silkworm by topical application in general, except Jam 120. With regards to an increase of cocoon yield in Japanese, it was resulted from 17~24% of cocoon yield from 10,000 larvae, as compared to that of control. In case of Chinese, the incrasing rates were varied from 15∼26% of cocoon yield, 17.8kg of it with 26% increase for Jam 122 and 16.7kg of it with 25% increase for Jam 118. In case of all hybrids, an increase of the cocoon yield took places from 20% to 31% and the weight of cocoon layer for the Japanese increased by 6 to 14%, those for the Chinese by 4 to 7% and those for the hybrids ranged from 21 to 29% increase. 3. Ir was recognized that the hybrid vigor rate took places with the hybrids between high responsing parents to juvenile hormones.

Alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of pulmonary veins (ACD/MPV) is an autosomal dominant, fatal developmental disorderof the lungs, with a mortality rate of about 100%. ACD/MPV is caused by mutations in FOXF1. Herein, we describe a newborn boy with ACD/MPV carrying a novel pathogenic variant of FOXF1. The patient developed respiratory distress and severe pulmonary hypertension on the first day of life. Despite aggressive cardiorespiratory management, including veno-venous extracorporeal membraneoxygenation, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he died within the first month of his life. Lung histology showed the characteristicfeatures of ACD/MPV at autopsy. Sequence analysis of FOXF1 from genomic DNA obtained from autopsied lung tissue revealedthat the patient was heterozygous for a novel missense variant (c.305T>C; p.Leu102Pro). Further analysis of both parents confirmed the de novo occurrence of the variant. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of genetically confirmed ACD/MPV in Korea.
