Uni-Class를 위한 컨텍스트 인식 시스템

In this paper we propose a unified context-aware application model which is an essential part to develop various applications in ubiquitous computing environment. The proposed model affirms the independence between sensor and application by using unified context in the form of external context and internal context. It also ensures that application exploits relatively accurate context to trigger personalized services. To show usefulness of the proposed model, we apply it to the sensors and applications the ubi-class, a testbed for ubi-class system applications.

다발성 신경섬유중과 동반된 뇌지주막 낭종 1례 : 증례보고

Neurofibromatosis(NF) is the most common autosomal dominant hereditary disease among the phakomatoses. Neurofibromatosis is manifestied by characteristic skin lesion and it is frequently associated with neoplasm of nervous system. Recently, NF is classified NF-1 (previously called Von Recklinghausen NF or peripheral NF) and NF-2(previously called bilateral acoustic NF or central NF). Neurofibromatosis type 1(NF-1) can be combined with many different type of neoplastic disease, such as neurofibrosarcoma, spinal neurofibroma, meningioma optic glioma. arachnoid cyst, etc. Among these, arachnoid cyst is very rarely combined with neurofibromatosis type 1. We experienced a very rare case of the arachnoid cyst which was combined with NF-1.

UWB시스템용 초광대역 통과 필터 설계

본 논문에서는 UWB (Ultra-WidrBand)시스템에 사용되는 초광대역 통과 필터를 설계하였다. 고역 통과 필터와 저역 통과 필터를 직렬 연결하여 구현하였다. 10.6 GHz의 cut off주파수를 갖는 저역 통과 필터는 단락된 전송선로와 개방된 전송선로를 이용 하여 구현하였고, 3.1 GHz의 cut of주파수를 갖는 고역 통과 필터는 L과 C의 lumped소자를 이용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 통과 대역에서는 S11 값이 18 dB의 값을 얻었으며 두개의 cut off 주파수에서는 S21의 값이 10 dB 감쇄한 결과를 얻었다. In this paper, it was designed ultra-wide band pass filter for UWB(Ultra-Wide Band) system. There was inplemented series connection of high pass filter and low pass filter. Low pass filter accessed cut off frequency of 10.6GHz was designed using short-circuited stubs and open-circuited stubs. High pass filter assessed cut off frequency of 3.1GHz was designed using lumped elements of L and C. Simulation results were obtained 18 dB of S11 from pass band and attenuated 10dB of S21 from two cut off frequencies.

Responsiveness of Gait Speed to Physical Exercise Interventions in At-risk Older Adults: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Background: In at-risk older adults, gait speed is an important factor associated with quality of life and falling risk. In this study, we assessed whether therapeutic exercise could improve gait speed. Methods: We conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the ‘best’ therapeutic exercise method by analyzing each exercise in terms of intensity, type, and several gait speed indices. For the analysis, we gathered 122 papers through a database search and selected 9 (n=627) that were appropriate for the meta-analysis. Results: In 8 of the 9 included papers, gait speed improved with therapeutic exercise. Usual gait speed (n=246) improved more than maximal gait speed (n=574). A resistance program was more effective than a nonresistance program for improving maximal, but not usual, gait speed. We also found that the effects of therapeutic exercise were greater in noncommunity than in community-dwelling elderly people. Conclusion: In conclusion, therapeutic exercise was effective in improving gait speed.

터키안와 및 상부 종양의 임상적 고찰

Tumorous lesion of intra- and suprasellar area showed unique clinical pictures and also was very hazardous and difficult to remove surgically because of the surrounding important anatomical structures. Here, authors analyzed 28 confirmed tumor of this area during last two and half years retrospctively. Histopathologically, 28 cases were classified in 14 pituitary adenoma cased6 cases of non-functioning adenoma, 1 GH-secreting adenoma and 7 cases of prolactinoma), 7 craniopharyngioma cases, 3 meninigioma cases and each one case of germinoma, Rathke's cleft cyst, pituitary abscess and hamartoma. Sexual incidence was 6 : 22 in male vs female ratio. Twenty two cases were measured its diameter over 2cm and they extended to suprasellar area in all cases. Five cases of microadenoma were analyzed and they were all enclosed in sella turcica. Visual impairment was the most frequent and prominent clinical symptom. of which incidence was 78.57% (22 cases). The next frequent symptoms were headache and generalized lethargy. Diabetes insipidus was a presenting symptom in 4 cases and hydrocephalus was noted in 4 cases preoperatively. Surgical intervention was carried out in 23 cases, by the way, the performed type of surgery in 21 cases was a conventional transcranial frontotemporal(pterional) microsurgical method. Post-operatively, diabetes insipidus was complicated in 78.26 % and pituitary hypofunction was noted 34.78%. Two cases of intracranial hemorrhage was developed after surgery and one was died. Through 6 to 28 months follow up. 82.1 % of cases were improved in its clinical status including 7 cured cases.

지방재정 확보에 관한 연구

일반적으로 지방자치단체를 둘러싼 현재의 환경변화는 지방재정수요를 증대시킴으로써 지방자치단체의 재정적 어려움을 야기시킨다고 인식되고 있다. 우리날 지방자치단체의 재정수입도 최근에 급증하고 있는 재정수요를 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 이러한 인식하에서 본 연구는 우리나라 지방재정수입의 현황을 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 문제점과 개선방안을 논의한다. 우리나라 지방재정수입의 문제점으로는 지방세의 비중이 낮으며, 지방세수입이 재정과세중심적이고, 지방자자치단체의 재정자립수준이 낮아서 자주재원이 해당 자치단체에 근무하는 공무원들의 인건비를 충당하지 못하는 경우가 다수 존재하며, 경영수입사업과 지방채발발행이 효과적으로 수행되지 못하는 점 등이 지적될 수 있다. 따라서, 지방재정을 확충하기 위해서는 다음과 같은 방안들이 시행되어야 한다. 첫째, 국세중 일부를 지방세로 전환한다. 둘째, 세외수입을 증대시키기 위해 경영수입사업을 효과적으로 운영해야 하며, 이를 위한 수단으로 전담조직을 구축하고 민영화와 업무평가를 시행한다. 셋째, 지방자치단체간의 재정력 격차를 완화시키기 우해 지방재정조정제도를 활성화하되, 지방교부세와 지방양여금 중심적으로 운영되어야 한다. 넷째, 지방자치시대에 맞게 탄력적으로 운영해야 한다. The recent change in function and role of local governments has increased the local finance demands, thereby causing the fiscal stresses of most municipalities. This is true ok Korean local governments. In this respect, the study is focused on reviewing the present financial conditions of Korean local governments, on analyzing their problems, and on suggesting the policy alternatives. In Korea, there are many problems in local finance as mentioned below: (1) the portion of local tax revenue vs national tex revenue is low; and (2) local tax revenue is property-tax-oriented; (3) local finance capacities are in low; and (4) local businesslike enterprises and municipal bonds are managed ineffectively. Therefore, the policy alternatives to improve local fiscal capacities are: (1) to enlarge the local tax bases; (2) to effectively manage the businesslike enterprises of local government; (3) to activate the grants system to reduce horizon and vertical finance inequality among local governments; and (4) to set up theeffective institutional mechanism and operation system of municipal bonds.

TRAPR: R Package for Statistical Analysis and Visualization of RNA-Seq Data

High-throughput transcriptome sequencing, also known as RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), is a standard technology for measuring gene expression with unprecedented accuracy. Numerous bioconductor packages have been developed for the statistical analysis of RNA-Seq data. However, these tools focus on specific aspects of the data analysis pipeline, and are difficult to appropriately integrate with one another due to their disparate data structures and processing methods. They also lack visualization methods to confirm the integrity of the data and the process. In this paper, we propose an R-based RNA-Seq analysis pipeline called TRAPR, an integrated tool that facilitates the statistical analysis and visualization of RNA-Seq expression data. TRAPR provides various functions for data management, the filtering of low-quality data, normalization, transformation, statistical analysis, data visualization, and result visualization that allow researchers to build customized analysis pipelines.

지역개발의 과제

무한경쟁사회의 도래는 지역으로 하여금 국가에 대한 의존에서 탈피하여 스스로 생존하는 전략을 모색하도록 강요하고 있다. 이러한 상황은 지역 전체의 결집을 바탕으로 사회변화에 유연하게 대처하는 로컬거버넌스의 중요성을 인식하게 한다. 선진국은 이미 지역개발에서 로컬거버넌스의 중요성을 인식하고 있으며, 특히 유럽은 로컬거버넌스를 위한 전략적 방안에 대해 많은 연구를 진행하여 왔다. 본 연구는 지역개발과정에서의 로컬거버넌스 이슈에 대해 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 남해안 관광벨트 사업을 재조명한다. 남해안 관광벨트 사업은 전문적·구체적인 전략을 구비하지 않고 개별 기초자치단체가 사업을 주도하고 있다. 이는 사업의 효율성과 수익성을 감소시키기 때문에 이에 대한 대책, 즉 국가/지방자치단체/지역구성원 간의 협조체제 구축, 관광지 간 연계성을 높일 수 있는 교통네트워크 확보, 사업의 전체 과정에서의 전문성 확보, 현실적인 민자유치 방안 모색, 지역 특화사업 개발 등이 요청된다.

전신성 홍반성 루푸스 환자에서 발생한 골수섬유증 1예

A 41-year-old female patient was admitted with uncontrolled gum bleeding and severe pancytopenia. She had a history of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) for 2 years prior to the identification of marrow fibrosis. Myelofibrosis is characterized by excessive deposition of collagen, laminin, and fibronectin within the bone marrow stroma. These changes can be due to primary myeloproliferative disorders, a variety of malignant processes, endocrine disturbances, or inflammatory diseases. Myelofibrosis is a rare cause of cytopenias in SLE, and conversely SLE is an uncommon etiology for myelofibrosis. We report a case of myelofibrosis secondary to systemic lupus erythematosus which was reversed by the treatment with glucocorticoid.
