        중세 이슬람이 보인 입방배적문제 해결방법들의 재조명과 시각화

        This study, utilizing several features about plane figures covered in the current secondary curriculum of mathematics and reviewing two solutions to cube duplication problem presented by Menaechmus, proving the solution by Nicomedes and visualizing solutions based on Apollonius' 'Conics' by medieval Islam geometricians such as Ab$\bar{u}$ Bakr al-Haraw$\bar{i}$, AbAb$\bar{u}$ J$\acute{a}$far al-Kh$\bar{a}$zin, Nas$\bar{i}$r al-D$\bar{i}$n al-T$\bar{u}s\bar{i}$, Y$\bar{u}$suf al-Mu'taman ibn H$\bar{u}$d, introduce to teachers and students in the field where the question of cube duplication problem comes from and which solving method has developed it and suggests new methods for visualization using dynamic geometry program as well so that the contents reviewed can be used in the filed. The solving methods to cube duplication problem in this paper are very creative and increase the practicality, efficiency and value of Mathematics, and provide students and teachers with the opportunities to reconfirm the importance and beauty of basic knowledge in the secondary geometry in the process of visualization of drawing figures using dynamic geometry program.

        Pappus 가 보인 일반각의 3등분문제 해결의 재조명과 시각화

        The purpose of this paper is to reinterpret and visualize Pappus' methods for trisecting the angle by utilizing the Nicomedes' conchoid and Apollonius' symptom of a hyperbola. In particular, we reinterpret the Pappus' three results which are the methods of hyperbola and circle, the trisection of the arc and focus and directrix of the hyperbola by 3 steps(analysis, construction, and proof) in the current middle school curriculum of Mathematics. Moreover, we visualize the construction of an hyperbola which is represented by means of an eccentricity.

      • 극소 저출생 체중아에서 SMOFlipid의 투여가 미숙아 질환 예방에 미치는 영향: Cholestasis 예방 중심으로

        Purpose: Very low birth weight infants (VLBWI) are found to have a higher incidence of cholestasis due to long-term total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Although there have been some studies on relationships between omega-3 fatty acids and reduced incidence of cholestasis, the advantages that the fatty acids provide for premature infant diseases have not yet been fully understood. The aim of this study was to evaluate the advantages of SMOFlipid, a lipid emulsion product that contains omega-3 over other lipid emulsion products that do not. Methods: The medical records of 182 newborn (127 boys and 55 girls) were reviewed retrospectively between April 2010 and August 2012. These infants were born with a birth weight of <1,500 g and administered either of lipid emulsions (Intra MCT 20% or SMOFlipid) from birth to a full-feeding condition at our neonatal intensive care unit. Cholestasis is defined as serum direct bilirubin (DB) >1.0 mg/dL when total bilirubin (TB) is <5 mg/dL or DB/TB ratio is >20% when TB >5 mg/dL. Results: The incidence of cholestasis was found to be lower in the SMOFlipid group than in the medium-chain triglyceride/long chain triglyceride (MCT/LCT) group (7.3% [4/55] versus 18.9% [24/127], P=0.046). At the start of lipid emulsion administration (day 0), the baseline bilirubin level showed no significant difference between the two groups. However, the maximum value of DB on days 7∼ 14 was lower in the SMOFlipid group than in the MCT/ LCT group (0.8 [0.3∼2.2] versus 1.1 [0.3∼2.8] mg/dL, P= 0.030). The DB/TB ratio was also lower in the SMOFlipid group than in the MCT/LCT group (10.2% [4.9%∼40.0%] versus 24.1% [5.1%∼62.5%], P=0.002). Conclusion: This study concluded that SMOFlipid was effective in the prevention of cholestasis in VLBWI. Therefore, omega-3-containing lipid emulsion can be highly recommended in premature babies, especially in VLBWI who require TPN support. (JKSPEN 2013;5(2):67-75)

        바위수염 메탄올 추출물이 B16F10 흑색종 세포에서의 멜라닌합성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 바위수염 메탄올 추출물이 천연 미백 소재로의 가능성을 알아보기 위해 멜라닌 함량, 세포 내 tyrosinase 활성 측정 및 단백질 발현 실험이 수행되었다. 바위수염 메탄올 추출물의 농도에 따른 MTT assay를 통해 세포 생존율 및 증식에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 500 μg/mL 농도까지를 실험 조건으로 설정하였다. B16F10 melanoma cell의 멜라닌 생성에 미치는 영향을 측정한 결과 대조군에 비하여 α-MSH만 처리한 경우 뚜렷하게 증가하였고, 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 100, 300, 500 μg/mL의 농도로 각각 처리한 결과 α-MSH만을 처리한 것과 비교해 27%, 41%, 59%로 농도 의존적으로 감소하였다. Tyrosinase 활성도 마찬가지로 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 100, 300, 500 μg/mL의 농도로 각각 처리한 결과 α-MSH만을 처리한 것과 비교해 18%, 49%, 61%로 농도 의존적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 바위수염 메탄올 추출물이 멜라닌 합성 관련 단백질 발현에 대한 영향을 확인하기 위하여 western blot으로 미백관련전사인자인 MITF, TRP-1, TRP-2, tyrosinase 발현을 조사하였다. α-MSH를 단독 처리한 경우에 각 단백질의 발현이 현저하게 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으나, 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 처리한 경우 농도 의존적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 500 μg/mL의 농도에서 매우 효과적으로 억제되었다. 이상의 결과로부터 바위수염 추출물은 멜라닌 생합성에 있어서 상위신호단계에 있는 전사인자 MITF의 활성을 억제한다고 보고, 향후 미백 기능성 화장품 소재로서 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Myelophycus simplex Papenfuss, a type of brown algae, is known to be majorly distributed in along the southern coast of Korea and Japan. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of M. simplex Papenfuss methanol extract (MSPME) on melanogenesis in α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone-stimulated B16F10 melanoma cells. Melanin contents of B16F10 melanoma cells were decreased by 27, 41, and 59% in a dose-dependent manner, upon MSPME treatment at 100, 300, and 500 μg/mL, respectively. Tyrosinase activities in B16F10 melanoma cells were decreased by 18, 49, and 61% in a dose-dependent manner, upon MSPME treatment at 100, 300, and 500 μg/mL, respectively. MSPME suppressed expression of tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein-1, tyrosinase-related protein-2, and melanocyte-inducing transcription factor in B16F10 melanoma cells. Concentration of 50 μg/mL of MSPME especially induced greater decreases in tyrosinase activity, melanin contents, and melanogenic enzyme protein expressions. This results indicate that MSPME inhibits melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity, and M. simplex Papenfuss extract may be an ideal candidate as a skin whitening agent.

        바위수염 메탄올 추출물이 3T3-L1 지방전구세포의 분화에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 바위수염 메탄올 추출물이 3T3-L1 지방세포의 분화 및 지방생성의 억제에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 바위수염 메탄올 추출물의 농도에 따른 3T3-L1 세포의 성장에 미치는 영향을 MTT assay로 분석한 결과 100~500 μg/ml의 농도에서는 80% 이상의 비슷한 수준의 세포생존율을 보였다. 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 처리하지 않고 분화를 유도하였을 경우에 세포질 내 지방구의 형성이 활발하게 유발되는 것으로 관찰되었으며, 바위수염 메탄올 추출물에 의한 지방구의 형성이 처리 농도 의존적으로 억제 되는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 100, 300, 500 μg/ml 처리한 후의 중성지방의 양은 바위수염 메탄올 추출물을 처리하지 않았을 때보다 35%, 42%, 76%로 농도 의존적으로 억제되는 것을 확인하였다. Insulin, dexamethasone 및 IBMX를 처리하여 분화를 유발하였을 경우 PPARγ, C/EBPα 및 C/EBPβ의 발현이 현저하게 증가되었으며, 이러한 분화유도 과정에서 바위수염 추출물을 처리한 결과 100 μg/ml의 농도보다 500 μg/ml의 처리군에서 PPARγ, C/EBPα 및 C/EBPβ의 발현이 단백질 수준에서 감소하였다. 본 연구결과 바위수염 메탄올 추출물은 lipid droplet 및 TG 생성을 감소시킴으로써 지방세포로의 분화를 억제시키는 것으로 나타나, 항비만 식품 소재로서의 개발 가능성이 있는 것으로 사료된다. Myelophycus simplex Papenfuss is distributed over the northern Pacific and southern coast of Korea, and is a member of the brown algae family. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of M. simplex methanol extract on adipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. Treatment with M. simplex methanol extract significantly suppressed terminal differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in a dose-dependent manner, as confirmed by a decrease in lipid droplet content observed by Oil Red O staining. Also, the M. simplex methanol extract significantly suppressed the triglyceride content of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in a dose-dependent manner. Treatment with 300 and 500 μg/ml of M. simplex methanol extract caused a 42% and 76% reduction in lipid droplet content, respectively. In order to understand the anti-adipogenic effects of M. simplex methanol extract, the changes in the expression of several adipogenic transcription factors, including peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) γ-cytidine-cytidine-adenosine-adenosine-thymidine (CCAAT) /enhancer binding protein (C/EBP) α and β, were investigated using immunoblotting. M. simplex suppressed the expression of PPARγ, C/EBPα, and C/EBPβ proteins compared with control. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that M. simplex methanol extract inhibits adipocyte differentiation and thus may have applications as a potential source for an anti-obesity functional food agent.

      • 草廬家 古文獻의 종류와 사료적 가치

        본고는 ‘草廬家 古文獻’ 정리 작엽을 통해 도출한 고문헌의 종류와 사료적 가치를 개괄적으로 서술한 것이다. ‘草廬家 古文獻’은 공주시 중동골길에 위치한 畿湖士林 명문가인 草廬後孫家門의 고문헌을 일괄한 자료이다. 중동골은 忠淸五賢이자 畿湖禮學의 대가인 草廬 李惟泰선생이 45세에 寓居하면서 후학을 양성한 곳으로 이 일대는 慶州李氏의 世居地이다. 초려가 고문헌은 초려 선생의 아버지인 25世 李曙로부터 36世 李圭憲까지 이어지는 400여년의 공주 경주이씨 가문의 역사자료를 모아 놓은 것이다. 초려가 고문헌 목록은 총 168건으로, 고서 47건과 고문서 121건으로 大別된다. 세부적 분류 방식에 따라 살펴보면 古書 47건은 經部 6건, 史部 9건, 子部 20건, 集部 12건으로 구성되어 있고, 古文書 121건은 敎송類 14건, 疏箚啟狀類 9건, 牒關通報類 1건, 證慿類 23건, 明文文記類 4건, 書簡通告類 19건, 置簙記錄類 35건, 诗文類 11건, 地圖 1건, 其他書畵類 4건으로 구성되어 있다. 본고에서는 초려가 고문헌 168건의 내용과 서지사항을 토대로 草廬家의 系谱와 學脈, 草廬家 古文獻 종류, 草廬家 古文獻의 특징과 사료적 가치 등을 살펴보았으며, 초려가문 고문헌의 중요성을 일반인들에게 널리 알리기 위한 전시활용 방안과 문화재 등록 방안을 간략히 언급하였다.

        참까막살 에탄올 추출물이 B16F10 흑색종 세포에서의 멜라닌합성에 미치는 영향연구

Polyopes affinis is a kind of red algae found in the South coast and near Jeju Island of Korea. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Polyopes affinis ethanol extract (PAEE) on melanogenesis in α-MSH stimulated B16F10 melanoma cells. Melanoma cells were cultured for 72 hr treated with PAEE. Total melanin content and the activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme in melanogenesis, were measured. When the melanin content in B16F10 melanoma cells was tested, PAEE was decreased in a dose-dependent manner: treatment with 100, 300, and 500 μg/ml caused 25%, 30%, and 35% reduction, respectively. Treatment of 100, 300, and 500 μg/ml of PAEE caused 6%, 12%, and 21% reduction of tyrosinase activities in B16F10 melanoma cells. Also, PAEE suppressed the expression of tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein-1, tyrosinase-related protein-2, and melanocyte-inducing transcription factor in B16F10 melanoma cells. A concentration of 500 μg/ml of PAEE showed a greater decrease in tyrosinase activity, melanin content, and melanogenic enzyme protein expression. These results indicate that PAEE inhibits melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity, and Polyopes affinis ethanol extract could be used as a functional whitening agent.

        It is as follows that the summary of expressions of linguistic characteristic of human emotions such as ‘joy, sorrow, anger, fear, love, hate.’<br/> Joy is conceptualized as the energy of life, festival, and hope. It implies ‘thrill, increase of moisture, fullness, relaxation, uplift, lightness, abundance, and anticipation'. Sorrow is conceptualized as the injury of physical organs and the loss of light, and vitality. When one feels sorrow, it can be shown as the injury of internal organs, flesh, bone and blood. <br/> Anger is conceptualized as strength and weapon. It implies ‘increase, sharpness, and poisonous character’. Anger is also conceptualized as ‘fire and heat’. It implies ‘blazing, burning, heating, spouting, exploding’. Fear is conceptualized as ice. It implies ‘stop, cold, tremble, fall, surprise, and escape’. Fear(liability for a crime) is also conceptualized as ‘flushing’. It implies ‘red and concealing’. It implies ‘dirty, creased, brace, numbed’. There are more expressions which are related to the sense of touch such as ‘hard, moist, cold, goose, flushing' than in other senses. <br/> ‘Love is conceptualized as preciousness’. The property is ‘valuable, precious, attractive, interested, acceptive’. And ‘Love is flutter, yearning, and forgiveness’. It implies ‘ardent, and generous’. Hate is conceptualized as ‘dissatisfied, worthless, and disgusting, removing’. The attribute of hate is ‘frowning, averting’, ‘despising, disregard’, ‘pain, uncomfortable’ and so on.<br/> There are about 516 emotional expressions in Korean and 77% of them are related to physical organs. This shows that the emotion is closely related to all experiences physically and physiologically. Therefore, physical language can be said as the basis which bears the emotional idioms. Among them, joy uses the most physical movement. And the eyes and the heart are the basic physical organs to express emotion. 75% of external organs are upper ones, and many of the idioms are expressed through eyes. Sorrow holds the majority of idioms for emotional expressions. <br/> As mentioned above, the idioms for emotional expressions are based on ones' physical experience, and physical language is the basis which bears the emotional idioms. Through the idioms for emotional expressions the concept of abstract emotion can be expressed metaphorically.<br/> In expression of the sense of joy, there are the sense of taste like spicy, sour and the sense of touch such as ‘warm, cool, light and damp’. In expression of sorrow, verbalizing of inner sense are observed in many cases and the oppression pain such as ‘heavy, weigh down, depressing, sore and the pain of fever such as burning, drying, melting’ and a sore pain such as ‘pricking tingling, smarting’ are expressed in manner of sense of touching in most cases.<br/> In expression of the sense of anger, the expression of the sense of sight are common such as ‘red-glowing, turn deadly pale, climbing top from bottom and size-enlarging’. The expression of the sense of fear, are diversified in its expression. There are the expression of sight sense such as ‘redenning, wringkling, strain, descending from top to down,’ down=sizing and the expression of the sense of hearing such as ‘breath holding, rattling’ and the expression of the sense of smell such as ‘stinking’, the expression of the sense of touch such as ‘hard, flushing, cool, damp, goose pimples, pricking and itching'.<br/> In expression of the sense of love, there are the expression of the sense of sight such as ‘brightness, flickering’ and in expression of the sense of touch such as ‘contact of eyes, palpitating, burning’ In expression of the sense of hate, there are the expression of the sense of sight such as ‘distorting, sticking-out, white-eyes, downward eyes’ and the expression of the sense of touch such as ‘cold, nausea, queasy’, and the expression of the sense of taste such as ‘bitter, puckery, sour, taste of rice, greasy’.<br/> As abovementioned, th
