This study was performed to evaluate the acute oral toxicity of an oriental medical prescription for obesity treatment, SH21-B, in Sprague-Dawley rats and Beagle dogs. SH21-B was administered in rats at does of 0mg/kg, 2,000mg/kg, and 5,000mg/kg. And also SH21-B was administered in Beagle dogs at does of 150mg/kg, 300mg/kg, and 600mg/kg. The rats and dogs of both sexes were observed daily for 14 days after single oral administration. Two female rats, one administered at 2,000mg/kg and the other administered at 5,000mg/kg, died, but no dead animal was observed among male rats. Therefore LD50 in the female rat is observed to be 8,710mg/kg, and MLD(Minimum Lethal Dose) of the male rat is observed to be more than 5,000mg/kg. Among dogs, no dead animal was observed up to 600mg/kg and MLD is observed to be more than 600mg/kg.

Purpose: To predict the energy expenditure using the stress factor representing the ratio of the metabolic variation between pre-operation and post-operation in a pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). Methods: This was a prospective study conducted on 17 patients (11 males and 6 females) who underwent PD at Chonbuk National University Hospital between March 2010 and October 2011. The rest energy expenditure was measured by indirect calorimetry 1 day before and 3 days after surgery. The height, weight, and fat free mass were also measured 1 day before surgery. Results: The mean measured rest energy expenditure 1 day before PD (mREE<sup>pre</sup>) and 3 days after PD (mREE<sup>post</sup>) were significantly different (16.8±2.6 vs. 18.8±3.5 kcal/kg/d, P=0.0076). The stress factor, representing the ratio of the metabolic changes between pre- and post-PD, was 1.12±0.17. The recommended energy requirement for PD patients is estimated to be 23∼24 kcal/ideal body weight/d [determined from the measured preoperative rest energy expenditure (16.8±2.6 kcal/kg/d)×activity factor (1.2∼ 1.3)×stress factor (1.12)]. Conclusion: PD patients maintained a hypermetabolic status and the applicable stress factor was 1.12.

Purpose: An accurate determination of energy expenditure is needed to prevent postoperative complications and provide effective medical care for surgical patients. The aim of this study was to compare measured resting energy expenditure (REE) in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) using an indirect calorimetry (IC) with the help of five predictive equations. Methods: The subjects chosen for the study were 18 patients (12 males, 6 females) who underwent PD at Chonbuk National University Hospital between March 2010 and October 2011. REE was measured by IC (ICREE) and calculated with the following five predictive equations - (eqREE)-Harris-Benedict (HB), Mifflin St. Jeor (MI), American College of Chest Physician (AC), Ireton- Jones (IJ) and Cunningham (CU) equation - on postoperative day 3. Results: The mean measured REE by IC was 1,117.9 ±180.2, whereas the mean predicted REE by HB, MI, AC, IJ and CU equations were 1,241.3±156.1, 1,226±153.0, 1,401.7±188.0, 1,355.1±342.7, and 1,324.8±188.7 kcal/ day, respectively. The mean predicted REE by HB, MI, AC, IJ, and CU were found to be significantly different from the measured ICREE. The intraclass correlation coefficient ICC), which describes the degree of agreement with the ICREE, was significantly highest in CUeq REE (r= 0.679). The rate of accuracy of HBeq REE, MIeq REE, ACeq REE, IJeq REE, and CUeq REE for ICREE was 27.8%, 50.0%, 27.8%, 22.2%, and 23.5%, respectively, in individual subjects. Conclusion: The intraclass correlation coefficient (r= 0.124∼0.679) and accuracy rate (22.2∼50.0%) determined from the results of REE measured by IC and that calculated by five predictive equations were low in overall. The low accuracy rate of energy expenditure by equations, which apply uniform indicators, can be explained by ongoing metabolic changes of the patient. Thus, the use of IC is recommended to assess energy requirements in PD; when this method is not practical in clinical settings, nutrition intervention is needed through regular monitoring because of the low accuracy rate of the predictive methods and ICREE that can cause inappropriate energy management, leading to metabolic disorders. 본 논문에서는 실시간 교통상황에서 유고 데이터를 수집하는 데이터베이스와 웹 기반 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 데이터베이스는 11개의 테이블로 구성되고, 사용자 인터페이스 구조는 유고 리스트, 유고 검색 두 가지 부분으로 나뉜다. 유고리스트는 10개의 열을 가지는 테이블과 전체선택, 선택삭제 버튼으로 구성되며, 유고 세부사항은 유고 리스트의 정보 가 출력되며 유고 동영상 또한 조회 가능하다. 본 논문에서 개발한 실시간 교통 유고 환경 수집 데이터베이스는 터널 유고 감지, 교통 미시 데이터 수집 등 다양한 교통 관련 프로젝트에 적용하여 사용할 예정이다.

This paper presents the fundamental study to implement wirdless data link system in the subway.Thepropagation characteristics of the electromangnetic wave in the tunnel are analyzed to determine the proper radio frequncics for our system.The tunnel is modeled as a circular waveguide and then, its path loss is obtained.The dfficient communication control procesure is proposed, which is well suited to our system architecture and the subway environment.The prototype systrm shows a good performance in the data communication. 본 논문은 지하철에서의 무선 데이타 링크 시스템을 구현하기 위한 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 먼저 주파수 선정을 위해서 터널래의 전파전파 특성을 이론적으로 분석하였고, 터널을 원형도파관으로 간주하여 진행과 방향의 거리에 따른 감쇄량을 계산하였다. 시스템 구현에 따른 새로운 통신 알고리즘을 제안하여, 간이 실험실 모델에서 데이타, 총, 수신을 수행한 결과 만족한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
배경제거를 이용한 파프리카 병해 분류 정확도 증가 방법

본 논문에서는 딥러닝 영상기술을 활용해 파프리카 잎에서 나타나는 병해를 분류하는 연구를 진행하였다. 비파괴 방법으로 파프리카 잎 뒷면을 촬영하면 잎을 잡는 손이 파프리카 잎을 가리는 영역이 부분적으로 나타나고, 이는 학습을 방해하는 요소가 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 잎의 영역을 먼저 찾고 그 외의 배경영역을 없애고, 병해를 진단할 수 있도록 모델을 설계하였다. 잎의 영역을 찾아내는 모델은 86.7%의 IoU(Intersection over Union)의 값을 얻었고, 병해를 진단하는 분류 정확도는 86.4%을 얻었다.
