      • 북한의 6·15공동선언에 대한 입장과 평가

        6·15 joint declaration is an official document both of South and North have agreed to for a peaceful reunification of race. What is more, it is the first document both summits of South and North have agreed to. There is, however, considerable difference between two nations in the degree of importance each Korea gives the document. It shows openly the difference of ideology and system between two Koreas. In North, the importance of the document is unquestionable for the will of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, an absolute authoritarian ruler, is contained in the document. On the other hand in the democratic system of South, the importance of the document has diluted by the opposed political power for the will of Kim Dae-jung, the president for a certain period of time, is contained in the document. North Korea takes the first clause of 6·15 joint declaration document as a priority and emphasizes racial cooperation and ‘just between ourselves’. It is an internationally justified agreement that reunification should be made on our own will and for ourselves. However, South’s passive reaction to that has rather provided North with an excuse of criticism. It was a period of 6.15 when the solution process in political problems was reaffirmed to be still rough and difficult. On the other hand, visible achievements have been made in the aspect of economical cooperation and humanitarian solution of matter, which can be said to make a historically remarkable process.

        북한의 법학연구: 연구동향 및 특성

        This thesis aims to study what changing aspect North Korea` s law as a science has taken on over the past 40 years and to examine which part North Korea has focused on among several parts of law through analyzing data, finally revealing the developing process of North Korea` s law, its study tendency and characteristics. It is with the founding of Kim Il Sung University that the science of law in North Korea was established as a part of social science together with philosophy, history and economics. The fact that from the beginning when the university was first founded in North Korea, law department was established shows in some way the importance of law itself and law as a science. Though there are some data that Pyung-Yang Law College and Judical Law school used to exist, it is only Law College in Kim Il Sung University that has maintained and increased its importance. And as a research center Law Research Center in Social Science Institute has been coming into operation. Kim Il Sung University makes public its scholarly research results of law through university class text and Kim Il Sung University Journal(history, law). Law Research Center in Social Science Institute shows its accomplishments of law study through publishing all sorts of dictionary related with law such as Law Dictionary, Civil Law Dictionary, International Law Dictionary and Law Journal, assessing wholly its research results of the last year through Chosun Jungang Almanac. It will be very meaningful in surveying wholly the law science of North Korea to study how much and how the research centers of North Korea and their study results have been made and developed over the past 60 years. Since the reign of Kim Jung Il set off, one of the most conspicuous characteristics in North Korea`s law study has been an intensive study of the related laws about international relationship like international politics, foreign economics and legislation history. That a basic study of theory for individual legislation has been made together is another characteristic. In conclusion, law study in North Korea does not stay just as a means of politics, which used to be for a time, but rather has gradually changed into a universal scholarly study of law as a dimension suitable for its status of a member of international society.

        한방초콩환의 제조단계에 따른 추출물의 생리활성 변화

        Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the antioxidative and anticancer activity of the water and ethanol extracts from pickled soybean products by manufacturing stage. Methods: Yakkong (YK) was pickled for 15 days to prepare Chokong (CK) and Chokong pills (CKP) were mixed Chokong (CK) powder with vinegar. Herbal Chokong pills (HCKP) were made by addition five kinds of medicinal herbs to Chokong. Pickled soybean products by each manufacturing process were extracted with distilled water and 70% ethanol, and the extracts were tested for their antioxidative and anticancer activities. Results: The highest electron donating abilities (EDA) of the water and ethanol extracts were from HCKP among pickled soybean products and those were 81.2% and 91.5% at 1,000 μg/mL, respectively. The ethanol extracts of pickled soybean products had higher activities of EDA and superoxide dismutase (SOD) than water extracts. The highest anticancer activity was the water extracts of HCKP against both of MDA and A549 cells. Conclusions: These results suggest that herbal Chokong pills (HCKP) can be used as natural antioxidant to prevent oxidative damage in normal cells probably because of their antioxidative characteristics.

        연속 회분식 반응조에서 용존산소의 적응에서 및 전략

        Dissolved oxygen (DO) is an essential variable to accomodate the aerobic environment for the removal of organics, nitrogen, and phosphorus in a biological nutrient removal process. The proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller has been commonly used to control DO in a wastewater treatment plant due to simplicity and robustness. However, it is difficult to tune gains of the controller and it can not reflect uncertainties, nonlinearities, and time-varying parameters sufficiently. Especially, DO dynamics in a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) highly varies because of batch operation and the SBR process has little buffer capacity for surplus aeration in the secondary aeration period. The PID controller shows the poor control performance for DO in the secondary aeration period and great maximum overshoot, oscillations, and root mean square error. The autoregressive with exogenous input (ARX) controller of the first order of inputs shows the good performance, but a little unstability due to the control law of minimum variance in the latter period of the first aeration, in which DO dynamics highly varies. The ARX of the second order of inputs shows the better control performance, stability, and softening the control actions. By applying an adaptive control strategy of the dual set-point in the control of DO, the reduced air flow and enhanced denitrification could be obtained.

        약물방출 스텐트 시술 후 항 혈소판 삼제 복합치료의 효과

        Background/Aims: A recent clinical trial demonstrated that triple anti-platelet therapy resulted in significantly larger minimal luminal diameter and lower restenosis rate compared with conventional therapy after bare-metal stent (BMS) implantation. However, it is uncertain that this result will be repeated after drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation, especially with low-dose cilostazol therapy. Thus, we performed a prospective, randomized study to evaluate the effectiveness of long-term triple therapy with low-dose cilostazol after DES implantation. Methods: We analyzed 109 patients (132 lesion) prospectively, who underwent successful coronary DES implantation. The patients were divided into two groups according to combined anti-platelet regimen: triple combination of aspirin, clopidogrel, and low-dose cilostazol (50 mg/bid) (Group I, n=56) or dual combination of aspirin and clopidogrel (Group II, n=53) for 6 months. The minimal luminal diameter and binary restenosis rate were compared at 6-month follow-up by coronary angiogram. The rates of stent thrombosis, major adverse cardiac events (MACE), and bleeding complication were also analyzed. Results: The baseline clinical and angiographic characteristics were not different between the two groups. Angiographic follow-up was performed in 80 patients (109 lesions, 74%). The minimal luminal diameter at 6 month was 2.25±0.63 mm in group I and 2.30±0.56 mm in group II (p=0.742). Restenosis occurred in 4 patients (7.2%) in group I and 3 patients (5.6%) in group II (p=0.611). There were no differences in the rates of stent thrombosis, MACE, or bleeding complications between the two groups. Conclusions: Long-term triple anti-platelet therapy with low-dose cilostazol after DES implantation was not effective in obtaining larger minimal luminal diameter or reducing restenosis rate, but it was used safely without increasing bleeding complication.(Korean J Med 74:368-375, 2008)
