        Effect of pH on the Synthesis of $LiCoO_2$ with Malonic Acid and Its Charge/Discharge Behavior for a Lithium Secondary Battery

        The pH effect of the precursor solution on the preparation of $LiCoO_2$ by a solution phase reaction containing malonic acid was carried out. Layered $LiCoO_2$ powders were obtained with the precursors prepared at the different pHs (4, 7, and 9) and heat-treated at $700^{\circ}C(LiCoO_2-700)$ or $850^{\circ}C(LiCoO_2-850)$ in air. pHs of the media for precursor synthesis affects the charge/discharge and electrochemical properties of the $LiCoO_2electrodes.$ Upon irrespective of pH of the precursor media, X-ray diffraction spectra recorded for $LiCoO_2-850$ powder showed higher peak intensity ratio of I(003)/I(104) than that of $LiCoO_2-700$, since the better crystallization of the former crystallized better. However, $LiCoO_2$ synthesized at pH 4 displayed an abnormal higher intensity ratio of I(003)/I(104) than those synthesized at pH 7 and 9. The surface morphology of the $LiCoO_2-850$ powders was rougher and more irregular than that of $LiCoO_2-700$ made from the precursor synthesized at pH 7 and 9. The $LiCoO_2electrodes$ prepared with the precursors synthesized at pH 7 and 9 showed a better electrochemical and charge/discharge characteristics. From the AC impedance spectroscopic experiments for the electrode made from the precursor prepared in pH 7, the chemical diffusivity of Li ions (DLi+) in $Li0.58CoO_2determined$ was 2.7 ${\times}$10-8 $cm^2s-1$. A cell composed of the $LiCoO_2-700$ cathode prepared in pH 7 with Lithium metal anode reveals an initial discharge specific capacity of 119.8 mAhg-1 at a current density of 10.0 mAg-1 between 3.5 V and 4.3 V. The full-cell composed with $LiCoO_2-700$ cathode prepared in pH 7 and the Mesocarbon Pitch-based Carbon Fiber (MPCF) anode separated by a Cellgard 2400 membrane showed a good cycleability. In addition, it was operated over 100 charge/discharge cycles and displayed an average reversible capacity of nearly 130 mAhg-1.

        도심형 메모리얼파크의 사회적 담론 및 인식분석을 통한 4·16 세월호 참사 추모공원 방향성 제안 연구

        The objective of this study is to propose a direction for creating a memorial park for the 250 students victims of the Sewol ferry disaster. To this end, this study first attempted to understand the matters discussed at various levels to create a memorial park and find a way that the park can be built by gathering opinions from the bereaved families and the victims themselves, as well as local residents, and experts. Workshops, competitions, special lectures, and websites, etc, were analyzed. A social discourse analysis methodology was used for systematic analysis, and the analyzed discourse was categorized into 4 types for assessment, and the functions and roles were subdivided into 15 types. To assess the priorities and the adequacy of the discourse, an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used among 30 activists, public servants, and experts. Then, a survey was conducted to analyze the perception of the residents (467 participants including the bereaved families) about the memorial park. Based on the results of the analysis, two directions were set for the memorial park. First, is a memorial park to remember the victims in everyday life. It must be a park with various cultural contents instead of a conventional memorial park that is solemn and grave sharing anguish and sorrow. The memorial park for the Sewol ferry disaster must become a space where visitors can naturally encounter and remember the victims. Second, is a park that serves as a catalyst that brings change and innovation to the community. It must be able to bring change to the community with direct and indirect influence. It must serve as an impetus to bring change and innovation to the community in the mid-to-long-term. Having many visitors may also lead to an economic effect. These visitors may not just stay in the park, but even contribute to revitalizing the local businesses. The purpose of this study is to apply the research findings to guide the International Design Competition scheduled for 2020 and serve to establish guidelines for a continuous park management system. 세월호 참사로 희생된 250명의 아이들을 위한 추모공원 조성방향을 제안하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이를 위해 먼저 지역사회 차원에서 추모공원에 대해 논의했던 사항을 이해하고, 피해당사자인 유가족들과 지역주민, 전문가들의 의견수렴을 통해 추모공원 방안을 모색하고자 했다. 유가족들과 시민들이 함께 국제공모전 시민지침서를 만들고자 진행한 참여형 워크숍, 신진디자인의 아이디어 수렴을 위한 공모전, 인문사회·문화관광·도시재생 전문가들과 함께한 특강, 홈페이지에 게시된 반대청원 등 다양한 활동들이 전개되었다. 이들 과정을 체계적으로 분석하기 위해서 사회적 담론분석 연구방법을 활용하였고, 분석된 담론을 평가하기 위하여 4가지 범주로 유형화하고 기능 및 역할을 15가지로 세분화 했다. 이렇게 도출된 담론들의 우선순위 및 적정성 평가를 위하여 활동가, 공무원, 전문가 30명을 대상으로 계층화 분석방법(AHP)을 수행했고, 설문조사를 시행하여 세월호 유가족 포함 지역주민 467명이 생각하는 추모공원에 대한 인식을 분석했다. 그리고 분석된 연구결과를 바탕으로 세 가지 추모공원 방향을 제안했다. 첫 번째는 일상 속에서 기억하는 추모공원이다. 기존의 추모공원처럼 경건함과 엄숙함으로 아픔과 슬픔을 나누는 공간의 모습에서 탈피하여 문화적 콘텐츠가 다양한 공원이 되어야 한다는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 공원생활 속에서 희생된 아이들을 자연스럽게 만나게 되고, 기억하는 것이 나아가야 하는 방향이다. 두 번째는 지역사회의 변화와 혁신을 유도하는 촉매제와 같은 공원이다. 세월호 추모공원이 존재함에 따라 지역사회에 직·간접적인 영향으로 변화를 줄 수 있는 공간이 되어야 한다. 중장기적인 관점에서 작은 공간 하나 만드는 것을 넘어 지역사회의 변화와 혁신을 만들어가는 계기가 되어야 한다. 세 번째는 사회적 공유과정을 거쳐서 모든 이들이 함께 하는 공원이 되어야 한다는 지점이다. 도심형 메모리얼 파크가 혐오시설이라는 인식 때문에 아직도 반대하는 이들이 일부 있는데, 이들을 포용하여 함께 할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구를 통해서 도출된 연구내용이 2021년 예정된 국제설계 공모지침서에 반영되고, 중장기적 관점에서 지속적 공원운영 관리 가이드라인 역할을 하도록 하는 것이 목적이다.

        유통 한약재 중 내분비계 장애물질로서의 잔류농약에 관한 연구(I)

        Research on pesticide residues as endocrine disruptors in natural medicines was initiated by Korea Food & Drug Administration this year. We determined the presence and levels of certain pesticides in selected natural medicines. The natural medicines collected this year are Glycyrrhiza Root, Cinnamon Bark, Pueraria Root, Polygonatum Rhizome, Jujube, Schizandra Fruit, Lycium Fruit, Liriope Tuber, Eucommia Bark, Peony Root, Korean Angelica, Dioscorea Rhizome, Cnidium Rhizome, Cassia Seed, Platycodon Root, Comus Fruit, Mentha Herb, Epimedium Herb, Bupleurum Root, and Ginger, which have no data for pesticide residues and 192 samples of them were circulated in Korea, 28 samples were circulated in China. In order to analyze many pesticides in large number of samples we used simultaneous multi-residue analysis of pesticides by GC-ECD, which was followed by GC-MSD analysis to confirm the identity of the detected pesticide in each sample.

        To protect personal information in road video clips gathered into traffic information systems, we propose a method of masking license plates in the video clips. This method detects vehicle objects by using two machine learning algorithm, the cascade detector and the SVM classifier at the same time. Through this method, we obtains a vehicle recognition rate of 83% on average. Then, it masks license plates in the inside of the detected objects.

      • 마이애미 건물붕괴에 대한 부재검토

        2021년 6월 마이애미에서 일어난 건물붕괴 사고의 원인으로 설계강도 부족, 염해에 의한 부식, 해수면 상승에 따른 지반침하 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 구조 해석 모델을 사용하여 설계강도를 검토하였다. 해석 결과, 붕괴가 발생한 보와 기둥에서 설계 강도가 부족하였다. 또한, 보가 없는 무량판 슬래브에서 뚫림 전단 파괴가 예측되었다. The causes of the Miami building collapse in June 2021 include a lack of design strength, corrosion due to salt damage, and ground subsidence by rising sea levels. In this study, the design strength was reviewed using a structural analysis model. As a result of the analysis, the design strength was insufficient in the beams and columns where the collapse occurred. In addition, punching shear was predicted in the flat slab.

        『傷寒論』 역본과 『東醫寶鑑』 영역본 잡병편 ‘寒’문의 비교 연구

        This study utilized Corpus-based Analysis process to compare the Cold Pathogen chapter in the ‘English version of 『Donguibogam』’ to the ‘English version of the 『Shanghanlun』’ translated by 罗希文 (Luo xi wen). Results of the linguistic analysis indicate that TTR, a ratio of number of types to number of tokens in the English version of 『Shanghanlun』 was 5.92% while TTR in the Cold pathogen chapter of English version of 『Donguibogam』 was 6.01%. It was also noted that the types of words frequently appearing in the two publications were the scientific name of medicinal herbs; the method of producing the herbal prescription (including terminology representing weights and measures); and Chinese descriptions of concepts considered important in both Korean and Chinese medicinal practices. Finally, it was possible to find points of comparison in naming of symptoms, diagnosis, prescriptions, and respective names of six meridians. Though the language difference is minimal, the vocabulary found in the Cold Pathogen chapter of 『Donguibogam』 was more diverse than Luo’s translation of 『Sanghanlun』. In general, literal translation in keeping with the sense of original text was better performed in Luo’s translation of the 『Sanghanlun』 whereas the English version of the Cold Pathogen chapter in the 『Donguibogam』 was more of a “free” translation.

        『괴물들이 사는 나라』(Where the Wild Things Are)에 나타나는 시각적 장치의 번역에 대한 고찰

        This paper aims to expand the current literature on children`s picture books by exploring the relationship between words and graphic devices and by stressing the importance of such devices. It is of notable interest that such devices do not receive much attention from translation studies, which calls for the need to "revisit" them. With a clear understanding of such graphic devices and their roles, this paper then seeks to illustrate how individual graphic devices-punctuation, capitalization, and illustration-take on the functional roles in Where the Wild Things Are as useful devices to evoke diverse responses from the source text reader and how they are translated. Translation will be evaluated from the perspective of "receptor response", which forms the core of "dynamic equivalence." Such translation criticism approach is useful in analyzing translation as it places emphasis on the degree of equivalent receptor response from both source and target text receivers.
