The human race of the Neolithic period felt the lack while picking the stones and using them. So they stoke and broke them and modified and changed the form of the stones. This kind of the survival will of the intelligence developed the human molding ability and the manual skills. In this process, the forming concept of being pointed and sharp obtained in the nature had become accurate and the hands were getting familiar with the material and the human race became to invent the vessels. Then finally they could be equipped with the creating power, different from the other beings growing in the nature. Like this, the primitive human race had gotten the forming ability while using the tools. And they expressed the ability through stones and earth so the art history of the human race started from the stone ax and stone knife of the Paleolithic period. They developed the hidden power of the life and found and developed the character of the material. They could make the pottery by using the earth character and build the house and ship by developing the wood character. The exhibiting of the character of the materialis the creation and the third creating power whichc ould be put with the harmony of thenature and the dynamic power of the world. The primitive men could have the supersensible function and value taken in the struggle for existence. It means that they could accumulate the social value and contents amid the form of the nature and the human reason amid the sensitivity nature. It is the same with the two aspects of the objective form and subjective sense. And it became the origin of the ritual of the esthetic appreciation and the art creation.

인생의 과정에서 교육, 종교, 도덕, 과학, 경제 등의 중요한 활동이 있는데, 이러한 활동이 바로 인류 문화의 아주 중요한 구성 요소이다. 그런데 우리는 문화라고 하면 곧바로 예술과 동일시해서 이해하려 하는 것이 보편적이다. 그 원인이 어디에 있는 것일까? 이는 아마도 예술이 인류의 각종 활동에 출연하여 그 활동의 성질을 조장하고 그 활동 발전의 기초를 세우고 있기 때문이라 하겠다. 즉 겉으로 드러나지 않는 신념, 종교, 사고방식이나 가치관 등 추상적인 잠재 문화를 시각언어(language of vision)로 전달하고자 한다면 추상적 언어 문자에서는 부족한 부분을 메울 수 있는 것이다. 특히 예술은 잠재 문화를 우리가 감수할 수 있는 객관 존재로 만드는 능력 이외에 아주 유력한 문화의 기록이며, 절대 신뢰할 수 있는 역사의 산물이기도 하다. 우리는 능히 이러한 예술품을 빌어 시간과 공간의 거리가 아주 먼 고대 이집트 파로와 시대의 문화를 이해할 수 있으며, 경주 석굴암 불상을 통해 신라인의 사회와 종교 신앙을 감수할 수 있다. 우리는 이와 같은 예술품의 감상을 통해서 당시의 사회 문화의 이해와 아울러 선인의 경험과 감정 속에 우리의 경험과 감정을 서로 이입(移入)하게 된다. 이처럼 예술은 문화의 계승과 전달에 있어서 크나큰 작용을 하고 있다. 간추려 말하자면 예술은 문화의 가장 구체적인 표징이며 또한 문화를 받쳐 주는 유력한 지지자로 문화로 하여금 더욱 변화의 가치를 가지게 한다. There are important actions of the education, religion, morality, science and economy in the process of life. These actions are the most important part in the mankind culture. But it is common for us to try to understand the culture by identifying it with the art. What`s the reason of that? Maybe it is because that art has appeared in the various actions of the mankind, promoting the character of the action and building the foundation of the development of the actions. It is possible to fill up the gap in the abstract language letters by trying to deliver the abstract latent culture such as belief, religion, the way of thinking and values which don`t appear in the language of vision. Especially the art is the record of the most influential culture and the result of the absolute reliable history besides the power to make the latent culture as the objective being that we can endure. We can understand the culture of the far away ancient Egypt Pharaoh and its period whose time and space is so far away, with the help of the artworks and can appreciate the society and religious faith of Shilla people through the Buddha statue of the S?kkuram Cave Temple in Kyung-Ju. Through the appreciation of the artworks like this, we can not only understand the social culture of that era but also put our experience and emotion into those of our ancestors. Like this, the art is doing huge functions in the succession and handing down of the culture. To be summarized, the art is the most concrete sign of the culture and the strong supporter holding the culture to have the value of the change.

This thesis studied the features of the expression which appeared in the old East Asian funeral art around the ornamental carving of ston and the mural. The study result shows that in the case of the funeral art which appears on the Chinese mural, the material and size of the first half in the Han(漢) dynasty is too small compared with that of the latter half in the Han dynasty. That is, it seems that the mural appeared clearly before and after 100 B.C. and increased so much in the late in the Han dynasty The funeral conception of the Han dynasty consists of the heavenly world, the a legendary wizard world, the real world and the underground world. It looks like that the boarding onto the legendary wizard world was regarded to be more important than to the heavenly world. So in the grave mural and the ston ancestral shrine , the diagram relating to the legendary wizard world was treated more importantly. It appeared that this concept had been kept since then and affected the grave mural of Goguryeo(高句麗). But the content and expression of diagram contained the Chinese coloring strongly but accepted it selectively. And when it came to the 7th century, the more independent type appeared. Especially the jiban area and Pyongyang area were developed respectively. But as it came near to the end of the 5th century, the jiban style expression was added to that of Pyongyang and the compromised type was being made. That is, Goguryeo had digested the imported culture in its own way and come to create the expression of Pan-Goguryeo funeral art around Pyongyang.

The focus of this study is modeling technique for a bellows in vehicle exhaust system. Bellows was developed using the finite element model by replacing with the equivalent beam. The equivalent beam model was studied in detail. Non-structural node in the cross section of original model is given to expressing their motion. Equivalent mass matrix and stiffness matrices were calculated using guyan reduction method. Material properties of beam were obtained from the direct comparison between equivalent model and timoshenko beam model. The calculated natural frequencies and mode shapes are compared with the reference results and coincided well. This study can be applied on calculation of natural frequency of exhaust system and pipe system.

Objectives : This study was conducted to integrate the results of studies assessing the association between chronic noise exposure and blood pressure. Methods : Using a MEDLINE search with noise exposure, blood pressure and hypertension as key words, we retrieved articles from the literature that were published from 1980 to December 1999. The criteria for quality evaluation were as follows: 1) the study subjects must have been workers employed at a high noise level area 2) The paper should use average and cumulative noise exposure as method for exposure evaluation. 3) Blood pressure in each article should be reported in a continuous scale Among the 77 retrieved articles, six studies were selected for quantitative meta-analysis. Before the integration of the regression coefficients for the association between blood pressure and noise level, homogeneity tests were conducted. Results : All studies were a cross-sectional design and the study subjects were industrial workers. Five papers used a time-weighted average for noise exposure and only one paper calculated the cumulative noise exposure level. The measurement of blood pressure in the majority of studios were accomplished in a resting stale, and used an average of two or more readings. The homogeneity of studies was rejected in a fixed effect model, so we used the results in a random effect model. The results of the quantitative meta-analysis, the weighted regression coefficient of noise associated with systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were 0.05 (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.03, 0.13) and 0.06 (95% CI: -0.01, 0.13), respectively. Conclusions : Our results suggested that chronic exposure to industrial noise does not cause elevated blood pressure.

After a lot of hard effort during last 50 years, we have been finally beared fruit of a high speed vehicle. But, A large percentage of the existing railways are actually being lasted it"s last popularity because of the backward speed. The object of this research isn"t supposed to make an effort for developing vehicle"s speed with lower budget, but to evaluate it"s efficiency. The time has come for upgrading train"s lower speed with at the minimum of rail"s changing. To solve this problem, we are describing that is how to control a transition curve of the railway.
