The purpose of this study was to evaluate the frequency of congenital missing teeth and supernumerary teeth in cleft patients. The subjects were divided into bilateral cleft lip and palate(BCLP), unilateral cleft lip and palate(UCLP) and cleft palate alone(CP alone) group. 97 cleft patients(BCLP 15, UCLP 70, CP alone 12) between 6-20 years old were evaluated. Panorama film, Orthodontic chart and initial intraoral photogram were employed for this research. The obtained results were as follows. 1. The incidence of congenital missing teeth in total cleft samples was 57.7%, and the incidence of supernumerary teeth was 26.8%. Each incidence was higher than non-cleft. 2. The Incidence of congenital missing teeth was the highest in BCLP and the lowest in CP alone. 3. The number of congenital missing teeth per perso was usually one, and the frequency was higher in the maxilary lateral incisors(67.8%), and maxillary second premolar(14.9%) than other teeth. 4. Most of tooth number anomalies in cleft patients were found in maxilla, especially adjacent region to the cleft site.

Purpose: Malignant fibrous histiocytoma(MFH) is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in adult. As to this date, tissue development, treatment and prognosis of the tumor has not been definitely clarified, however, it has been reported that wide surgical resection of the tumor along with the radiotheraphy and chemotheraphy is needed for treatment. In MFH with high recurrence rate, the reconstruction method and points to be considered for reconstruction in recurrent case were studied in 10 patients who were treated in our hospital. Methods: From August of 1991 to August 2007, location of tumor, initial mass size, 1st recurred period, lymph node metastasis, recurrence rate, treatment modality, complication, reconstruction in recurrent defect, and follow up period was studied in 10 patients who underwent reconstruction at our Plastic surgery department following wide excision. Various reconstructions has been performed for recurrent cases and postoperative chemotheraphy and radiotheraphy was done. As for reconstruction in recurrent cases, After wide excision, local flap was performed in 6 cases, and free flap in 2 cases. After radiotherapy, osteoradionecrosis was occurred in 4 cases. Recurrence rate was 1-5(2.6) times and reconstruction due to recurrence was 7 out of 10 cases(70%). Conclusion: The treatment modality of MFH is not yet defined. Due to it’s high recurrence rate, radiotherapy and chemotherapy is commonly combined with surgery. Even still, additional excision and reconstruction may be required. Therefore, possibility of re-operation must be considered when performing every excision and reconstruction; in case a recurrence or osteoradionecrosis occurs. Free flap coverage should be left as the last resort, according to the principle of reconstruction. Nevertheless, if the defect is large or osteoradionecrosis is present, it will benefit greatly to the patient’s quality of life.

In this study, the micro line patterns of nanoparticles are fabricated with an evaporative self-assembly technique. The fabrication is performed in a dip-coating configuration and a horizontal convective configuration. Colloidal suspension of 300nm silica nanospheres with volume fraction of 10-4~10-6 is used in the experiments. In the dip-coating configuration, the particle deposition pattern depends on the particle concentration and the plate withdrawal velocity. In the convective configuration, the line patterns are varied by the deposition and moving periods and the meniscus near the contact line. The parameters to control the line width, spacing and height are investigated.
도시 열환경 시뮬레이션을 위한 라그랑지안 열원 역추적 기법의 연구

A method is proposed for locating the heat sources from temperature observations, and its applicability is investigated for urban thermal environment simulations. A Lagrangian particle dispersion model, which is originally built for simulating the pollutants spread in the air, is exploited to identify the heat sources by transporting the Lagrangian heat particles backwards in time. The urban wind fields are estimated using a diagnostic meteorological model incorporating the morphological model for the urban canopy. The proposed method is tested for the horizontally homogeneous urban boundary layer problems. The effects of the turbulence levels and the computational time on the simulation are investigated.

가스터빈 압축기의 가변정익은 다수의 정익을 동시에 회전시킬 수 있도록 하는 가변정익 링크메커니즘과 이를 동작시키는 가변정익 구동기로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 항공용 가스터빈을 위한 가변정익 구동기를 개발하고자 가변정익 구동기 실례를 분석하고, 그 개발에 소요되는 기술의 현황을 기술하였다. Variable guide vanes(VGVs) that consist of link mechanisms and an actuator system are required for an aircraft gas turbine engine to adjust the incidence angle of stator vanes. In this study, an example of a variable stator actuator was analyzed to develop a variable stator actuator for an aviation gas turbine, and the current state of technology required for the development was described.

Recently, many technologies are being developed for better fuel economy. Especially, car producers try to cut fuel consumption in city driving. It is possible to reduce automatic transmission(AT) gear shifting which worsens fuel economy if the engine gets higher low/mid range torque. So there is a growing tendency to apply dual continuous variable valve timing(CVVT) direct injection spark ignition(DISI) engine for this. Since exhaust and intake valve are under control of dual CVVT, it"s possible to improve low/mid range torque by utilizing overlap period. And DISI engine can minimize the problem with fuel oxidation in catalytic converter occurred as extending overlap period in the multipoint injection(MPI) engine because it directly sprays with fuel in the cylinder and controls a spraying- time point. But exhaust gas interference produced by explosion of the fuel in cylinders should be minimized to utilize overlap period. The more the distance between exhaust valve and exhaust junction is extended, the more exhaust gas interference is reduced. Front wheel drive(FWD) vehicle with disadvantage in packaging has worse low/mid range torque than rear wheel drive(RWD) vehicle . There were several cases to increase the distance in FWD vehicle. But they needed to accept disadvantages such as reducing size of other parts to place two bellows or deteriorating isolation performance because of eliminating a bellows. In this paper, the new exhaust system improving low/mid range torque by reducing exhaust gas interference in the FWD vehicle equipped with dual CVVT DISI V6 engine is studied. This new exhaust system with new type of bellows and semi-circular pipe keeps the existing performance as well as moves the junction 621mm to the rear. As the result, it"s verified that low/mid range torque is improved by 5%~6% and fuel efficiency by 0.3%~1.0% and driving performance by 1.7%~2.5%.
