        고도정수처리에서 사여과와 정밀여과의 유기물처리특성에 관한 연구

        With a belief of high water quality production and less chemical usage, membrane technology including Microfiltration (MF), Ultrafiltration (UF), and Nanofiltration(NF) is being employed more and more in drinking water treatment process. However, due to higher energy consumption of UF and NF, MF is normally used for drinking water treatment especially in a plant of large scale. In this investigation, performance ofsand filtration and membrane filtration was compared regarding removal of various water quality parameters, such as TOC, DOC, KMnO4 consumption, THMFP, and HAAFP. Two lines of pilot plant have been operated, one of which line is a traditional advanced water treatment process which includes sedimentation, sand filtration, ozonation, and activated carbon, and the other line is an alternative treatment process which includes sedimentation with inclined plate, MF membrane, ozonation, and activated carbon. For the first about 4months of period, MF filtration showed similar or little bit higher performance than sand filtration. However, after about 4month later, sand filtration showed much higher performance in removing all parameters monitored in the investigation. It was found that sand filtration is a better option than MF filtration as far as microbial community is fully activated in sand filter bed.

        The Design of Data Hub System for Integration of Group In the Cloud Environment

        For a recent most companies to make efficient business management, we are using a groupware service of integrated information system of the entire group. Groupware service integrates the cooperation in excellent synergy and duplicates has been business functions of the business, through the improvement of multi-purpose business processing capacity, there is an advantage of reduced operating costs. However, if the parent company and subsidiary, or to handle common tasks such information agency, which may cause differences in the format of the data passed in the case of a need to provide a document. Therefore, in this paper, in order to solve the heterogeneity problem in data between groups, the data system of the hub base of the cloud is provided. The proposed system is intended to improve the groupware environment including the interoperability of integrated standardized environmental data sharing service.

        주민등록인구 자료의 평가와 보정

        This study aims at reevaluating the importance of the Resident Registration Population(RRP) as a source of demographic data in Korea. The evaluation of its coverage claims that the RRP as of Jan. 1, 2006 contained as many as 1,178 thousand persons who registered but resided abroad. Survival ratios between 2000-2006 found 32 thousand births to be unreported under age 7 due partly to births out of wedlock. Also, 19 thousand unreported deaths emerged as people to be excluded from while 269 thousand deregistered persons were newly included into the RRP according to sex and age. The inaccuracy of age and place of residence of the RRP could be adjusted by the correction coefficients calculated with the Evaluation Survey of Resident Registration Population conducted twice by the Korea National Statistical Office in 1993 and 2008. The size and age structure of population estimates based on the RRP appeared to be very similar to that of population projections, which suggests the feasibility of making population estimates on a de jure basis by using the RRP. 본 연구는 주민등록인구 자료의 활용성을 높이기 위해 주민등록인구 자료를 인구통계학적으로 평가하고 보정하는 방법을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 2005년 말 현재의 주민등록인구 자료를 이용해 상주(常住) 개념으로 인구를 추정하기로 하고, 포괄범위 및 연령·거주지의 두 영역에서 평가 및 보정을 실시했다. 포괄범위는 네 단계로 평가 및 보정이 이루어졌다. 먼저 주민등록인구에는 외국에 상주하는 인구가 2006년 1월 1일 현재 117만 8천 명이 포함되어 있는 것으로 추정하여 제외했으며, 연도를 달리하여 신고하거나 혼인 외의 출생아를 이유로 신고 되지 않은 것으로 평가되는 아동 3만 1천명은 7세 이하 인구에 추가했다. 다음은 사망자 1만 9천 명이 연도를 달리해 신고하거나 신고 되지 않은 것으로 추정하여 제외시켰고, 마지막으로 주민등록말소자는 26만 9천 명만 연령별로 추정하여 포함시켰다. 연령·거주지는 주민등록 확인조사 결과를 이용하여 연령 및 지역보정계수를 만들어 보정하였는데, 83만 명이 각 세 기준으로 연령이 조정되었고, 35만 명이 시도 기준으로 거주지가 조정되었다. 연구결과 주민등록인구를 보정하여 추정한 결과가 장래인구추계 결과와 인구 규모나 연령 구조면에서 매우 유사하여 주민등록인구의 가치를 재발견할 수 있었다.

        Intradiploic Encephalocele of the Left Parietal Bone: A Case Report

        Encephaloceles are generally regarded as midline abnormalities. A 50-year-old man presented with a parietal intradiploic encephalocele manifesting as intermittent headache for the past 6 months. Computed tomography (CT) showed bone destruction associated with a left parietal lesion. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated brain herniation within the intradiploic space. Cerebral angiographic imaging showed a normal cerebral vessel pattern within the herniated brain lesion. In this case, surgical treatment may not be necessary in the absence of concurrent symptoms and neurologic deficit. We report the CT, MRI, and angiographic findings of an extremely rare case of parietal intradiploic encephalocele in adulthood.

        Histone Deacetylases and Their Regulatory MicroRNAs in Hepatocarcinogenesis

        A growing body of evidence suggests that epigenetic modifications are promising potential mechanisms in cancer research. Among the molecules that mediate epigenetic mechanisms, histone deacetylases (HDACs) are critical regulators of gene expression that promote formation of heterochromatin by deacetylating histone and non-histone proteins. Aberrant regulation of HDACs contributes to malignant transformation and progression in a wide variety of human cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), gastric cancer, lung cancer, and other cancers. Thus, the roles of HDACs have been extensively studied because of their potential as therapeutic targets. However, the underlying mechanism leading to deregulation of individual HDACs remains largely unknown. Some reports have suggested that functional microRNAs (miRNAs) modulate epigenetic effector molecules including HDACs. Here, we describe the oncogenic or tumor suppressive functions of HDAC families and their regulatory miRNAs governing HDAC expression in hepatocarcinogenesis.
