복소굴절율 측정에 관한 연구

Amorphous rare earth transition metal(RE-TM) film with a strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and exhibiting polar Kerr effect at appropriate composition was made using DC magnetron sputtering system with pure Ar gas. This film was overcoated in situ with a transparent SiNx layer to protect it from the oxidation and to enhance the Kerr magneto-optic effect. The reflectances of the double layered RE-TM film were measured as the function of incident angle for s and p polarized light, respectively. The complex index of refraction of the film was obtained by a conventional iteration method using the measured reflectances. We also measured the complex index of refraction of a slide glass plate, a acryl plate, a gold thin film and a aluminium plate. The measured reflectances of all the samples agree well, within the experimental error with the calculated values using our the complex indices of refraction.

GdFe 박막의 Kerr 이력곡선 연구

GdFe amorphous thin film used were prepared by the rf sputtering technique on the slide glass substrates held at room temperature, Composition ratios of GdFe films were measured by AES and kerr hysteresis loops of these films were studied by using the polar kerr loop tracer. It has been found that some of these films show the anomalous hystersis loops. this anomaly has been explained by the double layers model with a surface oxidation layer.

Predictive Value of Interstitial Lung Abnormalities for Postoperative Pulmonary Complications in Elderly Patients with Early-stage Lung Cancer

PurposeIdentifying pretreatment interstitial lung abnormalities (ILAs) is important because of their predictive value for complications after lung cancer treatment. This study aimed to assess the predictive value of ILAs for postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) in elderly patients undergoing curative resection for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Materials and MethodsElderly patients (age ≥ 70 years) who underwent curative resection for pathologic stage I or II NSCLC with normal preoperative spirometry results (pre-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 s to forced vital capacity [FVC] ratio > 0.70 and FVC ≥ 80% of the predicted value) between January 2012 and December 2019 were retrospectively identified. Univariable and multivariable regression analyses were performed to assess risk factors for PPCs. The Kaplan–Meier method and log-rank test were used to analyze the relationship between ILAs and postoperative mortality. One-way analysis of variance was performed to assess the correlation between ILAs and hospital stay duration.ResultsA total of 262 patients (median age, 73 [interquartile range, 71–76] years; 132 male) were evaluated. A multivariable logistic regression model revealed that, among several relevant risk factors, fibrotic ILAs independently predicted both overall PPCs (adjusted odds ratio [OR], 4.84; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.35–17.38; p=0.016) and major PPCs (adjusted OR, 8.72; 95% CI, 1.71–44.38; p=0.009). Fibrotic ILAs were significantly associated with higher postoperative mortality and longer hospital stay (F=5.21, p=0.006).ConclusionPretreatment fibrotic ILAs are associated with PPCs, higher postoperative mortality, and longer hospital stay.

Stephen Dedalus의 Pride에 關한 小考

이상 Stephen Dedalus의 주요 성격으로 pride를 들어 그것이 작품에 표현된 바와 결과적인 주제와의 연결을 살펴 보았다. 여기서 작가 Joyce와 주인공을 혼돈해서 작가가 젊은 시절의 자기에 몰입을 해서 Stephen을 그렷다고 보아서는 안될 것이다. 많은 비평가가 Stephen의 곤궁에 대한 Joyce의 Sentimenality를 비판하고 있으나 여러 가지로 Joyce의 작가적인 detachment나 Objectivity는 증명될 수가 있다고 본다. 앞에서 언급한 어린 Stephen의 院長室 방문의 heroic attitude에서 보이는 irony 나 거울을 들여다보는 주인공의 narcissism의 표현이 그것이며 더 깊이 들어가 그가 백만번이라도 theveality of experience에 맞서겠다고 선언한 것을 생각해 보면 알 수 있다. 즉 그러한 선언을 할 수 있는 사람이 어찌하여 자기 조국에서의 그동안의 생활은 그렇게 소극적이고 회의적인 것이어야만 했을 것인가 단 하나의 성공적인 인간 관계도 이루지 못한 주인공의 모순은 아주 분명하다. 결국 이 作品에서 Joyce는 자기의 젊은 시절을 냉정한 눈으로 보면서 정확히 한 미숙한 청년 예술가의 초상을 그려놓고 있는 것이며 작가의 moral idea는 뚜렷하게 나타나 있다. 그는 主人公의 pride를 비난하고 있는 것이다. I have here studied the important character of Stephen Dedalus. It is no good that we reduce to a chaotic state between writer Joyce and the hero in this work. Many critics criticized Joyce's sentimentality and Stephen's destitution but it seems that Joyce's detachment as a writer or his objectivity can be testified. There is some irony showed by his heroic attitude and manifestation of narcissism, of which we can understand his declaration about stading face to face with the reality of experience. In this book Joyce Pictured a portrait of young artist feeling the age of his youth with cold eyes, and the moral idea of writer is shown distinctly. In the end he criticized the pride of hero in this work.

The Temperature and compositional dependences of the saturation magnetization amorphous of ferrimagnetic GdFe thin films have been analyzed in terms of the mean field theory. Amorphous SiNx/TbFe/glass thin films were prepared using dc magnetron sputtering system with pure Ar We measured the saturation magnetizations and the polar Kerr angles of the TbFe thin film in the temperature range 80 - 400K The temperature dependence of the polar Kerr effect compared with the magnetization of the iron subnetwork in the mean field approximation and good agreement is obtained

Lawrence is not interested in a merely reformed society but rather in the flowering of a whole new human consciousness ; he was a complete rejection of modern life and of the tradition behind it, of christianity, industrialism, science, popular education, nationalisms, romantic love, etc. He is a supporter of aristocratic and pyramidal despotism. Finally, his new consciousness involved him in apotheosis of our instinctual life.

Toque Magnetometer의 제작과 GdFe박막의 자기적 특성연구

Rare earth-transition metal(RF-TM) alloy films have attracted considerable attention in recent years from the viewpoint of fundamental research and its application. For instance, it has been shown that amorphous GdFe film has a potential for thermomagetic recording. An investigation was made to evaluate the variation in the magnetic properties of rf-sputtered GdFe films as a function of sputtering parameters. We made a toque magnetometer to analyze the magnetic properties such as perpendicular anisotropy energy Ku and saturation magnetization Ms. A (L/H)^2 vs L plot was proposed, where L repressents the torque of a film in a field of H whose direction is 45° to the film plane. The Ku and Ms are obtained from the slope A and intercept B of the plot as follows : Ms= (2B)^1/2 / V, Ku = B/V (1/A - 4π/V) where V is the volume of the film.
