      • 25㎜ NSW-ring, pp.를 充塡한 充塡塔에서 암모니아 吸收에 의한 充塡物의 特性硏究

        This study was carried out to demonstrate the superiority of used packing in view of energy saving and efficiency of mass transfer, comparing with conventional packing. The results are as follows : 1. Owing to low pressure drop under high load, 25mm NSW-ring, pp. can cause energy saving. 2. The unique magnitudes of used packing are as follows : C_(G) = 5.78 m = 0.67 n = 0.46 3. Used packing can make high efficiency including energy saving because of low pressure drop per the number of transfer unit. To rate the characteristic of packing, it should be carried out that the measurement of pressure drop per packing height and per the number of transfer unit. This study demonstrated the superiority of used packing by caning out above experiment and could be used as basic reference for design and predicting efficiency of packing tower which is filled with same packing.

        An Efficient Recognition Method using 2 Layer Hidden Markov Models for Human Driving Behavior

        This paper proposes a stochastic model for human driving behavior using a double layer Hidden Markov Model (HMM) with continuous observations. In the proposed model, gas pedal’s position, steering wheel’s angle, velocity and angular velocity of the vehicle is used and recorded in every 100 msec for recognizing driving task. Data acquisition is done during a simulated driving task, after that data is segmented and clustered into 9 different cases. The lower-layer with one-dimensional continuous HMM is used for recognizing translational acceleration of a vehicle. The upper-layer with one dimensional continuous HMM is used for recognizing angular velocity of a vehicle. For recognizing a user’s behavior, we used sliding windows with size of 10 samples and length of sequence with size of 30 samples. We apply a Kalman filter to reduce noise. After the filtering, the data was processed by sorting into three groups for a pedal, a steering wheel, and speed. We used two main features, which are angular velocity and the translational acceleration, in order to present driving behavior. We constructed a driving simulator based on Logitech G27 Racing platform to evaluate the proposed method. Using the developed driving simulator, some experiments were conducted for comparing the accuracy rate of the proposed method with that of the conventional method. Futhermore, we compared the average learning time of the proposed method with that of the conventional method because Learning time becomes also an important factor for investigating the performance of stochastic models. The experimental results confirm the accuracy of the proposed approach by revealing recognition accuracy around 96%-97%. Furthermore, the proposed method decreases learning time around 40%.

        모바일 앱(App)을 이용한 웰빙인지기법이 여대생의 병리적 걱정, 주관적 웰빙 및 특성 불안에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the well-being cognition technique using mobile app on pathological worry, subjective well-being, and trait anxiety among female university students. The participants in this study scoring higher than 56 on the Korean version of the Penn State Worry Questionnaire were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (n=29) or a wait-control group (n=29). The experimental group was directed to use the well-being cognition technique mobile app at least once daily for four weeks. Measurements in this study included the Korean version of the Penn State Worry Questionnaire (K-PSWQ), the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale, the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), the Life Satisfaction Expectancy Scale (LSES), and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory-Trait (STAI-T). To verify the interactions between the group and the time, the Repeated Measures ANOVA was conducted for pre-post values of the two groups. The results of study are as follow. The scores of pathological worry and trait anxiety in the experimental group significantly decreased compared to the wait-control group. In subjective well-being, the scores of positive affect, satisfaction with life, and life satisfaction expectancy in the experimental group significantly increased compared to the wait-control group. Also, the scores of negative affect in the experimental group significantly decreased compared to the wait-control group. Finally, implications of this study and suggestions for future research are discussed. 본 연구는 긍정심리중재법 중 하나인 웰빙인지기법을 모바일 앱(App)으로 제공하여 여대생의 병리적 걱정, 주관적 웰빙 및 특성 불안에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 여자 대학교의 재학생 중 프로그램 참여를 희망하고, 병리적 걱정 점수(K-PSWQ)가 기준 이상인(>56점) 학생을 선별하여 처치집단(n=29)과 대기통제집단(n=29)에 무선할당했다. 처치는 4주 동안 진행되었으며 참가자들에게 매일 1회 이상 앱에 접속하도록 했다. 본 연구에 사용된 측정도구는 한국판 펜실베니아 걱정 질문지(K-PSWQ), 긍정정서 및 부정정서 척도, 삶의 만족 척도(SWLS), 삶의 만족예상 척도(LSES), 상태 특성 불안 검사-특성 불안(STAI-T)이다. 집단과 시기 간 상호작용을 검증하기 위해 처치집단과 대기통제집단의 사전-사후 값에 대해 반복측정 분산분석(Repeated Measure ANOVA)을 실시했다. 분석 결과, 대기통제집단에 비해 처치집단의 병리적 걱정, 특성 불안이 유의하게 감소했다. 주관적 웰빙의 경우 대기통제집단에 비해 처치집단의 긍정정서, 삶의 만족, 삶의 만족예상이 유의하게 증가하고, 부정정서가 유의하게 감소했다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 추후 연구를 위한 제언이 논의되었다.

        Development of an Adaptive Lens Using an Ionic Polymer-metal Composite

        The optical focus variable lenses have been widely used in consumer electronic devices to capture objects which are located in arbitrary position. These focus variable lenses are achieved by changing the distance between the two or more lenses or are made with electrowetting mechanism, liquid crystal material, or liquid with a pump. These lenses suffer from aberrations due to non-uniformities in the electric field and trouble with liquid evaporation. Another drawback of these focus variable lenses is to need an external mechanism (including actuators outside the optical path). In this paper, we present another type of lens using an electroactive polymer. The purpose of this paper is to describe self-deformable thin lens without any external mechanism. We fabricated an IPMC lens with blur-sharp effect. The IPMC lens is composed of both a thermally imprinted, transparent, and concave-structured Nafion membrane and partially electroless-plated the platinum electrode. By applying a low AC voltage to the IPMC lens, the IPMC deforms upward and downward for itself. As a result, the blur-sharp effect was obtained in the concave-structured Nafion membrane. The proposed method for fabricating blur-sharp effect lens has a large potential to realized very small electro-optics, especially in the field of consumer electronic devices.

        Fabrication and Evaluation of a Thin Film Vibrotactile Actuator Made with Silicon Dioxide

        One of the most important challenges in bringing haptic information to mobile devices is to develop a haptic actuator with a volume small enough that it can be easily inserted into mobile devices. The haptic information, which is created in the form of vibration, should have large enough magnitude to stimulate all mechanoreceptors in a wide frequency range for increasing the sense of reality. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a wideband film-type haptic actuator based on silicon dioxide (SiO2), designed to have sufficiently large magnitude to stimulate all mechanoreceptors in human skin in broad frequency bandwidth. We conduct experiments to measure the vibration strength of the proposed actuator in a wide frequency range and its displacement behavior according to the amount of voltage input. The results show that the actuator has sufficiently large vibrational force to stimulate human skin in a wide frequency range and proportional displacement behavior as a function of the applied input voltage. The obtained results indicate that the proposed actuator can selectively stimulate human’ mechanoreceptors and that it has feasibility for haptic actuators embedded into mobile devices.
