A wearable electrodiagram(ECG) monitoring system is a widely used non-invasive diagnostic tool for ambulatory patients who may be at risk from latent life-threatening cardiac abnormalities. In this paper. we have a portable ECG monitoring system with conductive fiber characterized by the small-size and the low power consumption. The system consists of conductive fibers, one-chip microcontroller, ECG preprocessing circuit, and monitoring software to record and analyze in PC. ECG preprocessing circuit is made of pre-amplifier with gain of 10, band-pass filter with bandwidth of 0.5-120% and 2.5V offset circuit for A/D conversion. ECG signals obtained by sensor are corrupted by noises such as a baseline wandering, 60Hz power noise and interference noise by body movement. For cancellation of noises in signals obtained by conductive fiber, we used the wavelet decomposition of wavelet transforms in MATLAB toolbox.

저자들은 우상복부 동통을 주소로 영남대학교 의과대학 부속병원 내과에 내원한 49세 여자 환자가 전산화 단층 촬영과 간동맥 조영술로 간세포암을 진단받은 후 간동맥 색전술로 치료받고 추적 관찰하던 중 심초음파로 확인된 우심방 종괴를 진단받은 임상 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Right atrial metastasis occurs in 1 to 4% of patients with hepatoma, and the extension to intracavitary of metastasis of a tumor as a large mass rate. However, the high risk of progressive heart failure and sudden death from the tricuspid valve obstruction necessitates prompt diagnosis of intracavitary extension, and adequate intervention is needed to prolong a patient's life. A 49 year-old female was referred to our hospital for further evaluation of a liver mass, which was identified at a local clinic. The liver mass was confirmed as hepatocellular carcinoma with CT and celiac angiographic findings. She was treated with transarterial chemoembolization. Thirty-four months after discharge, a low density right atrial mass was noted incidentally with chest computed tomography while investigating a massive right pleural effusion for possible pulmonary metastasis. Echocardiography showed a huge inhomogenous echogenic mass at the right atrium. The present report describes a case of primary hepatocellular carcinoma with a intracavitary cardiac mass detected with two dimensional echocardiography.
Load cell 중량센서의 FEM simulation

The FEM technique was applied to simulate the change of stress characteristics for various structural parameters and loading positions of the load cell. The output voltage of the load cell was then computed to compare with the manufactured load cell. The tendency of the stress variations of the load cell was well agreed with the basic formula of the single fixed. beam. Also, the stress characteristics according to the change of loading positions showed respective featured results as different structure. The calculated output voltages of the load cell were very close to those of the real manufactured ones.
TRIAC 위상제어에 의한 유도전동기의 절전회로설계에 관한 연구

TRIAC 위상제어 방식은 교류전류의 제어에 편리한 방법으로 많이 응용되고 있다. 유도전동기는 부하변화에 따라 역율과 효율이 변화하며 특히 무부하와 경부하에서는 큰 전력손실을 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 TRIAC 위상제어 방식을 이용하여 유도전동기의 기계적부하에 따른 최적의 전압을 공급함으로써 효율과 역율을 개선시켜 전력손실을 줄이는 것을 기본동작원리로 하며 종래의 구조의 복잡성과 경제성 및 실용성을 크게 개선 하는데 설계의 주된 목표를 두었다. 제안된 절전회로는 실험결과 부하의 변화가 빈번한 곳에 운용되는 소형유도전동기에서 상당한 절전효과가 나타났다.

In this study, we demonstrated the viability of the batch - fabricated SWCNT film strain gauge load cell for force and weight sensing. A batch microfabrication process was developed for practical construction and packaging of the gauge by using spray-coated SWCNTs and the conventional semiconductor process. SWCNT film strain gauges showed good linearity over a range from 0 to 400 microstrain, and much higher sensitivity than commercial metal foil-type gauges. The effectiveness of microfabricated SWCNT film gauges as a force sensor was evaluated by applying them to high sensitivity binocular load cells. Our test results showed that the SWCNT gauge load cells had a much higher sensitivity and higher resolution than conventional metal foil-type cells.

Background/Aims: Acute suppurative cholangitis is associated with significant mortality. It is best managed by drainage of biliary tree such as endoscopic, percutaneous or surgical, We evaluated the role of emergency endoscopic nasobiliary drainage(ENBD) in the acute suppurative cholangitis. Methods: For 55 patients with acute calculous cholangitis, who did not respond to conservative management and the stone could not be removed from bile duct by endoscopic papillotomy due to poor condition or bleeding tendency, ENBD tube(7.5Fr) was inserted at proximal side of obstruction. ENBD was done at 39.4 hours (mean) after arrival to hospital. Results: ENBD was successful in all patients (100%). All patients responded with striking improvement of the abdominal pain, fever and stabilized vital signs within 3 days. After patients conditions were stabilized clinically, common bile duct stones were removed successfully by endoscopic sphincterotomy or surgery. No patients died of acute suppurative cholangitis. Conclusion: These results show that ENBD is a simple, safe, and effective measure for the initial control of acute suppurative cholangitis due to cholelithiasis.
