        Development of ginseng powder using high hydrostatic pressure treatment combined with UV-TiO<sub>2</sub> photocatalysis

        Background: Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) powder is in rising demand because powder forms of foods are convenient to handle and are highly preservable. However, ginseng powder (GP) manufactured using the conventional process of air drying and dry milling suffers nutrient destruction and a lack of microbiological safety. The objective of this study was to prepare GP using a novel process comprised of UV-TiO<sub>2</sub> photocatalysis (UVTP) as a prewashing step, wet grinding, high hydrostatic pressure (HHP), and freeze-drying treatments. Methods: The effects of UVTP and HHP treatments on the microbial population, ginsenoside concentration, and physiological characteristics of GP were evaluated. Results: When UVTP for 10 min and HHP at 600 MPa for 5 min were combined, initial 4.95 log CFU/g-fw counts of total aerobes in fresh ginseng were reduced to lower than the detection limit. The levels of 7 major ginsenosides in UVTP-HHP-treated GP were significantly higher than in untreated control samples. Stronger inhibitory effects against inflammatory mediator production and antioxidant activity were observed in UVTP-HHP-treated GP than in untreated samples. There were also no significant differences in CIELAB color values of UVTP-HHP-treated GP compared with untreated control samples. Conclusion: Combined processing of UVTP and HHP increased ginsenoside levels and enhanced the microbiological safety and physiological activity of GP.

      • Microscopic Stereo Camera with Simultaneous Vergence and Focus Control

        This paper introduces a stereoscopic stereo camera which equipped with two microscopic video sensors, a micro motor, and a linear stage. Mechanism of simultaneously controlling both vergence and focus of the camera is presented. Parallel-axis design of two video sensors enables the stereo camera to converge and focus on an interesting object simultaneously. Calibration of the camera is done to reconstruct 3D models of real objects using the camera. Experimental results show that the vergence and focus of the camera change with respect to the motion of an object.

        Radiation-tolerance analysis of I-gate n-MOSFET according to isolation oxide module in the CMOS bulk process

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The n-type metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (n-MOSFET) produced in the widely used CMOS bulk process takes radiation damage by the total ionizing dose (TID) effects in radiation environments, so the radiation-tolerant properties of semiconductor integrated-circuits (ICs) used in high-radiation environments is a critical issue. The formation method of the isolation oxide module (IOM), which induces the radiation-induced leakage currents, differs depending on the chip density of the CMOS bulk process. In this paper, we designed and fabricated I-gate n-MOSFETs for bulk process and analyzed the radiation-tolerant characteristics according to IOM. The I-gate n-MOSFET chips are fabricated using the shallow trench isolation (STI) 0.18um and local oxidation of silicon (LOCOS) 0.35um processes of the CMOS bulk process. Tests and evaluation of the TID effects on the chips are carried out by irradiating a total cumulative dose up to 2 Mrad(Si). As the results, in the standard n-MOSFET, the leakage currents of the LOCOS and STI processes are 27.7uA and 16.4uA, and in I-gate n-MOSEFT, are 1.1uA and 0.7uA. The leakage currents of standard n-MOSFET increased by about 25 times before and after irradiation, but the electric characteristics of I-gate n-MOSFET is maintained regardless of the process.         유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지인식도 생성 메커니즘의 의사결정 효과성에 관한 실증연구

        Fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) has long been used as an effective way of constructing the human's decision making process explicitly. By taking advantage of this feature, FCM has been extensively used in providing what-if solutions to a wide variety of business decision making problems. In contrast, the goal-seeking analysis mechanism by using the FCM is rarely observed in literature, which remains a research void in the fields of FCM. In this sense, this study proposes a new type of the FCM-based goal-seeking analysis which is based on utilizing the genetic algorithm. Its main recipe lies in the fact that the what-if analysis as well as goal-seeking analysis are enabled very effectively by incorporating the genetic algorithm into the FCM-driven inference process. To prove the empirical validity of the proposed approach, valid questionnaires were gathered from a number of experts on software sales, and analyzed statistically. Results showed that the proposed approach is robust and significant.

        관광객의 주문형운송서비스(ODR) 재이용에 관한 연구 : 소비가치이론 및 플랫폼 인퓨전의 개념을 적용하여

        모바일 기술의 발전으로 온라인과 오프라인 서비스를 연결하는 O2O 플랫폼이 각광받고 있다. 특히, 관광분야에서 주문형운송서비스(Ondemand Ride Service, ODR)는 개별관광객의 증가와 함께 지속적인 인기를 끌고 있으며, 기존의 대중교통 및 운송 시장을 재편하고 있다. ODR의 이용에 대한 사회적 관심에 부응하여, 본 연구는 관광객 관점에서 ODR 플랫폼의 가치 속성을 확인하고 각각의 속성이 플랫폼 활용에 미치는 영향력을 확인하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 소비가치이론을 적용하여, 기능적 가치(정황적 서비스 제공)·사회적 가치(쌍방향 소통)·감정적 가치(서비스 안심성)를 ODR 플랫폼의 가치 속성으로 구성하였다. 또한, 정보시스템 인퓨전을 플랫폼 이용에 대한 내재화 과정으로 개념화하고자 하였으며, ODR의 확장된 사용과 ODR의 통합적 사용의 개념을 매개변수로 상정하였다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 목적을 갖는다. 첫째, ODR의 가치 속성이 ODR의 확장된 사용과 통합적 사용에 미치는 영향력을 확인한다. 둘째, ODR의 확장된 사용과 통합적 사용이 ODR의 재이용의도에 미치는 영향력을 검증함으로서 플랫폼 인퓨전 과정을 개념화한다. 연구 결과, 제시한 가설들은 모두 채택되었으며, 정황적 서비스 제공·서비스 안심성·쌍방향 소통 순으로 ODR의 활용(확장된 사용 및 통합적 사용)에 유의한 정의 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 위와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 ODR 플랫폼 운영자 및 오프라인 상의 서비스 제공자에 대한 제언을 제시하였다. Due to advances in mobile technology, O2O platforms that connect online and offline services are in the spotlight. In particular, in the tourism sector, On Demand Ride Service (ODR) continues to gain popularity with the increase of individual tourists and reorganizes the existing public transportation and transportation market. Responding to the social interest in the use of ODR, this study sought to identify the value attributes of the ODR platform and the impact of each attribute on the use of the platform. Specifically, the customer value theory was applied to organize functional values (contextual service offer), social values (two way communication), and emotional values (service reassurance) into value attributes of the ODR platform. In addition, we tried to conceptualize Information System Infusion as an internalization process for platform use, and we hypothesized the concepts of extended use of ODR and integrative use of ODR as parameters. Based on the consideration of prior research, this study has the following purposes: First, we identify the impact of the value properties of ODR on the extended and integrated use of ODR. Second, we conceptualize the platform infusion process by verifying the influence of extended and integrated use of ODR on the intent of reuse of ODR. This study presents suggestions for ODR platform operators and offline service providers.
