        형상기억복합재료에 대한 온라인 모니터링 시스템 개발

        형상기억복합재료를 제조하기 위하여 핫프레스 방법을 이용하여 최적의 제조조건을 도출하였으며 냉간압연에 의해 기지재와 강화재의 계면접합을 강화하여 강도를 증가시켰다. 이러한 방법에 의해 제조된 형상기억복합재료에 대하여 외부 하중에 의한 손상정도와 균열의 발생을 감지하여 균열 발생 및 진전을 억제하는 온라인 모니터링 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 음향방출 신호의 파라미터를 이용하여 손상에 따른 최적의 AE 파라미터를 도출하였으며 가열시스템을 이용하여 형상기억합금을 가열함으로써 형상기억합금의 수축에 의한 복합재료 내부에 균열진전을 억제시키는 시스템을 개발하였다. A hot press method was use for the optimal manufacturing condition for a shape memory alloy(SMA) composite. The bonding between the matrix and the reinforcement within the SMA composite by the hot press mothod was strengthened by cold rolling. In this study, the objective was to develop an on-line monitoring system for the prevention of the crack initiation and propagation by shape memory effect of SMA composite. Shape memory effect was used to prevent the SMA composite from cracking. For the system to be developed, an optimal AE parameter should be determined based on the degree of damage and crack initiation. When the SMA composite was heated by the plate heater attached at the composite, the propagating cracks appeared to be controlled by the compressive force of SMA.

        생활원예 행태에 관한 연구 : 천안시를 중심으로

        This study was conducted to investigated the status of horticultural working of Cheonan, Korea. Most of the house had flowers and vegetables garden which was located of gate along the wall and external house. Most of horticultural working participants was women(66%) and age brackets was above 50(72%). The space of horticultural working was internal house(38%) and external house(12%). Cultivated plants in garden were mainly vegetables(30.1%), deciduous tree(25.7%), and evergreen tree(13.5%), plants were cultivated in vacant area(40%) and in weekend farm(16%). Participants were satisfied in their garden, but they required the knowledge of horticultural working(51.9%), So participants of horticultural working required horticultural knowledge, skill and programs by a specialist or governments.

      • 문항에 대한 반응에 미치는 사회 선희도 "예"반응 기대치의 영향

        전통적인 사회선희도 개념에 따르면 문항이 사회적으로 바람직할수록 그 문항에 대한 "예" 반응은 증가할 것으로 가정된다. 이러한 가정이 사회선회도 전 범위에 걸쳐, 그리고 다양한 유형의 문항들에 대해 적용되는지 알아보기 위해 본 연구를 실시하였다. 사회 문항들을 사용하여 사회선희도의 영향을 조사한 결과 사회선희도의 효과가 크지 않았고 또한 사회선희도가 아주 높은 문항들에서는 사회선희적 반응이 오히려 감소하였다. 그러나 성격형용사 문항들에 대한 반응에서는 사회선희도의 효과가 크고 사회 선희도의 전 범위에 걸쳐 그 효과가 확인되었다. 따라서 사회선희도 효과는 문항의 유형과 사회선희도의 수준에 따라 차별적으로 작용한다고 결론지을 수 있다. 사회선희도 효과에 간섭하는 요인으로서 표준반응 경향성("예"반응 기대치에 따른 반응 경향성)이 논의되었다. The present study was conducted in order to examine the traditional hypothesis that the more the item is socially desirable, the more subject's "yes" response to the item increases for the whole range of social desirability and for the all kinds of items. Two kinds of questionnaire items were examined : When social items were used, the effect of social desirability was small and social desirability responses to the highly socially desirable items decreased. However when personality items were used, the effect of social desirability was large and present for the entire range of social desirability. Therefore, it is concluded that the effect of social desirability depends upon the kinds of items and also the levels of social desirability. As a factor intervening social desirability effect, standard response tendency(response tendency corresponding to the "yes" response expectation)was discussed.

        한우와 돼지에서 간의 약물 대사효소의 활성 비교

        Drug-metabolizing activities of Korean native cattle and swine were investigated from viewpoints of the cytochrome P-450's level, their dependent mixed function oxidase activities, the reactive oxygen species formation and cytosolic enzyme acitivities from each liver homogenates. Level of cytochrome P-450 in the liver microsome of Korean native cattle was $0.28{\pm}0.05nmole/mg$ and that in pigs $0.35{\pm}0.03nmole/mg$. Level of cytochrome $b_5$ of Korean native cattle was $0.24{\pm}0.06nmole/mg$, and that of pigs $0.2{\pm}0.05nmole/mg$, showing no difference between two species. NADPH P-450 reductase were higher in Korean native cattle ($58.3{\pm}5.3nmole/mg/min$) than in pigs ($29.9{\pm}3.8nmole/mg/min$)(p<0.01). The activities of cytochrome P-450 dependent monooxygenases such as ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase (cattle, $96.5{\pm}12.5nmole/mg/min$ ; pigs, $13.6{\pm}2.1nmole/mg/min$), N-benzphetamine N-demethylase (cattle, $5.23{\pm}0.82nmole/mg/min$ ; pigs, $0.76{\pm}0.3nmole/mg/min$) and aniline hydroxylase (cattle, $0.95{\pm}0.1nmole/mg/min$ ; pigs, $0.33{\pm}0.08nmole/mg/min$) were much higher in Korean native cattle than in swine(p<0.01). However, the activity of testosterone $7{\alpha}$-hydroxylase was higher in swine ($90.4{\pm}1.2nmole/mg/min$) than cattle (cattle, $32.8{\pm}1.2nmole/mg/min$). Interestingly, testosterone $16{\alpha}$-hydroxylase, a marker enzyme for P-450 IIA was not detected in both animal species. These results suggest that Korean native cattle and pigs have high contents of P-450 IA1 and P-450 IIIA. Total sulfhydryl compound (cattle, $10.3{\pm}1.1nmole/mg$ ; Pigs, $14.5{\pm}1.8nmole/mg$) and glutathione related enzymes except glutathione reductase (cattle, $38.1{\pm}7.9nmole/mg/min$; swine, $22{\pm}3.6nmole/mg/min$) showed higher levels in swine than in Korean native cattle. Superoxide dismutase (cattle, $7.64{\pm}0.84nmole/mg/min$ ; pigs, $4.47{\pm}0.94nmole/mg/min$) and catalase (cattle, $30.4{\pm}3.7nmole/mg/min$ ; pigs, $17.2{\pm}1.8nmole/mg/min$) were remarkably higher in Korean native cattle than in swine (p<0.05).

        Virus Resistant and Susceptible Transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana Plants Expressing Coat Protein Gene of Zucchini green mottle mosaic virus for LMO Safety Assessment

        Transgenic Nicotiana benthamiana plants harboring coat protein (CP) gene of Zucchini green mottle mosaic virus (ZGMMV) were generated for virus-resistant screening and complementation analysis of related viruses for environmental safety assessment (SA) of living modified organism (LMO) purposes. Transformation of leaf disc of N.benthamiana was performed by using Agrobacterium-mediated method and the pZGC-PPGA748 containing the ZGMMV CP and NPTII genes. Two kinds of transgenic homozygous groups, virus-resistant and virus-susceptible N.benthamiana lines, were obtained by screening of challenging homologous virus for Tl generations. These two pathologically different lines can be useful for host-virus interactions and LMO environmental SA.

        Clinical Research Article : The effect of milrinone infusion on right ventricular function during coronary anastomosis and early outcomes in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery

        Background: During coronary anastomosis in off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB), hemodynamic alternations can be induced by impaired diastolic function of the right ventricle. This study was designed to examine the effect of milrinone on right ventricular function and early outcomes in patients undergoing OPCAB. Methods: Forty patients undergoing OPCAB were randomly assigned in a double-blind manner to receive either milrinone (milrinone group, n=20) or normal saline (control group, n=20). Hemodynamic variables were measured after pericardiotomy (T1), 5 min after stabilizer application for anastomosis of the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD, T2), the obtuse marginalis branch (OM, T3), the right coronary artery (RCA, T4), 5 min after sternal closure (T5), and after ICU arrival. The right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) and right ventricular volumetric parameters were also measured using the thermodilution technique. For evaluation of early outcomes, the 30-day operative mortality and morbidity risk models were used. Results: There was no significant difference in hemodynamic variables, including mean arterial pressure, between the 2 groups, except for the cardiac index and RVEF. The cardiac index and RVEF were significantly greater at T3 in the milrinone group than in the control group. Conclusions: Continuous infusion of milrinone demonstrated a beneficial effect on cardiac output and right ventricular function in patients undergoing OPCAB, especially during anastomosis of the graft to the OM artery, and it had no adverse effect on early outcomes.       • 한국형 인공심장에 대한 동물실험(AnyHeart™)

        말기심부전증의 새로운 치료대안으로 제시되는 한국형 인공심장(AnyHeartTM)의 효용성과 안정성을 평가하기 위하여 동물실험을 실시하였다. 지난 2년간 고려대학교 안암병원과 제주대학교 동물병원에서는 총 28마리(송아지 18, 면양 4, 실험견 3, 말 2, 산양 1마리)의 다양한 동물에서 한국형 인공심장 이식실험이 실시되었으며, 좌심보조장치로 적용한 1예와 체외휴대형으로 적용한 각 1예를 제외하고 모두 심장보존형 인공심장(이식형 양심보조장치)의 형태로 완전 이식하였다. 수술방법은 주로 우측개흉법을 (Korea University Technique)을 사용하였다. 펌프 박출량은 최대 6 L/min로 평균 3-3.5 L/min를 유지되었으며, Fitting test 4례와 초기 적응과정의 2마리를 제외하고 모두 수술에서 회복되었다. 최장 관찰기간은 37일로 합병증 없이 건강한 상태에서 기초자료 확보를 위해 관찰을 임의종료하였다. 모든 생존동물에서 기계장치와 관련된 부작용은 발견되지 않았고, 임상적으로 나타나는 혈전전색 소견이나 간기능, 신기능, plasma hemoglobin, fibrinogen 등에 이상은 없었다. 적절하게 조기부검이 이루어진 경우에는 인공심장 내부에 혈전이 발견되지 않았고, 간/콩팥/비장 등의 중요장기에 병리검사에서도 전색소견은 발견되지 않았다. 결론으로, 한국형 인공심장은 생체 내에 이식하였을 때 안정적이며 기능이 우수한 것을 알 수 있었다. 한국형 인공심장은 현 상태에서 임상에 적용할 수 있다고 판단되며, 가까운 시일 내에 인체 내 안정성와 유효성에 대한 평가가 가능할 것으로 기대한다. Korean artificial heart (AnyHeartTM) is a new vision in the management of end stage heart failure. We performed the animal experiments to evaluate the performance and safety of AnyHeart. For last 2 years, 28 various animals (cattle 18, sheep 4, canine 3, goat 1) underwent AnyHeart implantation at Korea University Medical Center and Cheju University Animal Hospital. AnyHeart was applied as an implantable BVAD except a case of implantable LVAD or wearable BVAD. A standard technique of implantation was a right thoracotomy approach (Korea University Technique). The pump output was 6 L/min in maximum and 3-3.5 L/min in average. Other than 4 cases of fitting tests and 2 in the early learning period, all animals were recovered from the operation. The longest observation was made until 37th postoperative day, and the observation was terminated to get a control data while the animal was healthy without complications. All survivors were free from device-related morbidity, and there were no evidence of clinically significant thromboembolic episode, liver functions, renla function, plasma hemoglobin, fibrinogen abnormalities. Appropriate autopsy did not show thrombus in the device or embolism in the organs. Conclusively, AnyHeart has been proved efficient and safe during in-vive implantation. The authors believe that AnyHeart can be applied to clinical situations at the moment and expect to perform a clinical trial to test safety and efficacy in the human body within near future.

        Gamma Knife Radiosurgery for Cancer Metastasized to the Ocular Choroid

        Objective : Choroidal metastases (CMs) are the most common intraocular tumor. Management is mainly radiation therapy with goals of pain control and visual improvement. However, many radiation-related complications are reported. Since gamma knife radiosurgery (GKS) for CM was first reported in 1995, few cases have been reported. We report 7 cases of CMs treated with GKS. Methods : From April 2011 to November 2014, 7 patients with CM underwent GKS. Their median age at treatment was 64 years (range, 51-71 years). Four males and three females were treated. Lung cancer was the most common primary pathology, followed by renal cell carcinoma and stomach cancer. Four patients had multiple cerebral lesions and were treated simultaneously for choroidal lesions. The median marginal dose of 20 Gy (range, 15-25 Gy) was administered at the 50% isodose line. Results : Median follow-up period after GKS was 8 months (range, 2-38.3 months). Four patients expired due to underlying malignancy progression. Except for two patients who were not followed with magnetic resonance image after GKS, all patients showed size reduction in the treated lesions, but a new choroidal lesion appeared in one patient and one recurred. Six of seven patients reported subjectively improved visual symptoms. Visual acuity improved in 2 patients, and 2 were stable upon objective examination. One patient showed no improvement in visual acuity, but ocular pain was relieved; another patient showed improved vision and tumor remission, but visual deterioration recurred. Conclusion : GKS was shown to be safe and effective and should be considered for CM treatment.

        반응성 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링으로 Fe3O4 박막 제조에 관한 연구

        We investigated the effects of deposition conditions on the fabrication of Fe3O4 thin films using a reactive DC magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The structural, electrical, and magnetic properties of Fe oxide films dependence on the film thickness, oxygen flow rate, and the substrate crystallinity were also studied. We have successfully fabricated Fe3O4 film with thickness of about 10 nm under optimal reactive sputtering conditions. The saturation magnetization, resistivity, and Verwey transition of the Fe3O4 film were 298 emu/cc, 4.0×10(-2) Ωcm, and 125 K, respectively. (Received February 3, 2009)
