      • 解放 이후 工業高等學校 敎育課程의 變遷過程 硏究

        The purposes of this study was to : 1) review the curriculum changes in technical high school from the 1945 Liberation to 1984, 2) examine the characteristics, objectives and organizations of the curriculum and, 3) search for the future directions of the curriculum development. Development of technical high school education programs was divided into four periods. The characteristics of THS curriculum during these periods was summarized as follows. 1. Embryonic Period (1945-1962)-After the foundation of the Republic of Korea, the technical high schools were included in high school system according to the Education Law promulgated in 1949. The technical high schools were created to develop competent industrial production workers. General subjects of the technical high schools were same as the general high schools during this period. Specialized subjects accounted for more than 30 percent of the total school hours. 2. Established Period (1963-1972)-Ministry of Education responding to the first Five-Year Plan for economic development, established a new technical high school curriculum in 1963. General course were modified to meet the needs of technical high school students. The educational aim of THS was the training skilled worker and technicians. THS placed stress on specialized subjects which were made-up than 50 percent of total school hours. Also, more hours were spent in practice compared to theory in specialized courses. 3. Developed Period (1973-1979)-Remarkable development was achieved by THS during this period. Technical high schools were subdivided into general, mechanical, special and model technical high schools. Their graduates were eligible for technical qualification and licences after passing test. THS had given the more consideration to the specialized subjects and practice than general subjects and theory. 4. Converting Period (1980-1984)-A change in educational policy in 1980 created a turning point for THS's. The new policy emphasizes educating Industrial Technicians more than training skilled workers. Technical high schools were again included in the high school system. THS placed increased emphasis on general subjects which comprise 43-60 percent of total school hours. The 1981 curriculum revision established elective subjects (e.g., General Mechanics, General Electrics, Computer, Industrial English, Industrial Safety). All THS students are able to select elective subjects outside their own major.

        한국인 알코올 의존 자녀들과 도파민 D2, D4 수용체, GABAΑ 수용체 β Subunit 및 세로토닌 운반체 유전자 다형성 사이의 연관성에 대한 예비적 연구

        Objectives : The studies on the genetic risk factors of the children of alcoholics (COAs) are still in an early stage. The A 1 allele of the dopamine receptor 2 gene (DRD2) may be associated with the negative affect and positive alcohol expectancy of the COAs. In addition, several researchers reported that COAs might be associated with the GABA_(A) receptor β subunit gene (GABRB3) and serotonin transporter gene (5-HTTLPR). In this study, we investigated the association of polymorphism of the DRD2, Dopamine D4 receptor gene (DRD4), GABRB3, 5-HTTLPR with COAs to examine the genetic risk factors of COAs. Methods : Twenty-two COAs and 23 control children (children of non-Alcoholics ; Non-COAs) were included for the genetic study. All COAs aged 6 to 18 were recruited and selected from families of alcoholic patients in alcohol clinics of three university and mental hospital. Alcoholism of parents was classified as type I (non-antisocial, late onset) and type II (antisocial, early onset) by Cloninger's classification. The genotyping of the DRD2, DRD4, GABRB3, 5-HTTLPR was carried out. Chi-square method was used for evaluating the associations between genetic polymorphism and the COAs Results : The frequency of A1 + allele of DRD2 in COAs were significantly higher than Non-COAs (χ²=4.45, df= 1, p=0.035). Significant association between the genotype of DRD4 and COAs was found (χ²=8.32, df= 1, p=0.004). Gl- alleles of GABRB3 in COAs were significantly higher than in Non-COAs (χ²=6.622, df= 1, p=0.022). We found no association of the polymorphic alleles of 5-HTTLPR with the COAs (χ²=0.021, df= 1, p=0.884). There were significant associations between the type of parental alcoholism and depression of COAs. Conclusion : We found that the children of alcoholics had significantly increased genetic risk of alcohol drinking expectancy. This study provides some preliminary information on the risk and protective factors associated with the COAs, which can be usedas a foundation for prevention and intervention of future psychopathology.

        Scorpion intoxication 1례

        Scorpion intoxication is not often encountered. Scorpion venom is complex and species-specific, those of the family Buthidae being most harmful to humans. The toxin consists of phospholipase, acetylinesterase, hyaluronidase, serotonin, and neurotoxins. A neurotoxins envenomation can produce severe systemic toxicity, especially in children. Symptoms include throat spasms, muscular fasciculations, abdominal clamps, seizures, increased or decreased blood pressure, oliguria, dysrhythmias, pulmonary edema, and respiratory collapse. We experienced a 60-year-old female patient who suffered abdominal clamp and both leg pain with multifocal PVC through to be caused by scorpion intoxication. She hypertension for several years, but no medications. During last six months she had suffered from facial palsy. So she had received herb medication with scorpion venom. After treatment for 3days she recovered well and discharged. We report this case with literature reviews.

      • CO_2와 Methanol로부터 Dimethyl Carbonate의 직접 합성시 복합산화물(Ce_0.8Ti_0.2O_2)과 이에 담지된 금속/산화물 촉매의 효과

        Dimethyl carbonatc was used as a reagent which introduces the carbonyl and methyl group into chemical compound. In thi work, mixed oxide catalysts were prepared from cerium(Ⅲ) nitrate hexahydrate and titanium dioxide. Also, noble and transition metals were incorporated wiht the ixed oxide catalyst. After the calcination of corresponding catalysts under 5% H2 gas, the mixed oxide catalysts were empioyed in the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate. Prior to the calcination, mixed oxide cctalyst shows the high activity for the reaction. But, after the treatment, the activity of catalyst was greatly reduced. From the expertmental results, the oxidation state of noble metal incorporated with mixed oxide catalysts have an offect on the oxidation reaction of methanol in the synthesis of dimdthyl carbonate.

        A prototype air temperature and solar irradiance simulation model was developed to predict the distribution pattern over the slope of Mt. Halla in Chejudo. The model is based on potential effects of major topo-geographical factors on hourly air temperature derived from principal component analysjs multiple regression analysis. Although the model outputs were not validated yet, the precision based on 1km by 1km grid and small RMS error show a feasibility for practical applications to diverse economic activities in Cheju Island.

      • 酸化마그네슘에 의한 燐酸이온의 吸着特性에 關한 硏究

        One of the rising problems in the field of water environmental is the eutrophic phenomenon which appears in the closed water basin. This study is for the removal by adsorption of orthophosphate which is indispensible nutritive element for eutro-phication. Magnesium oxide and magnesium oxide-activated carbom complex have been made and used as adsorbents. They have showed excellent adsorptivity for orthophosphate. The main purpose of this study is to obtain the optimum preparation comditions of adsorbents, the optimum operational conditions and basic data for the design of adsorption process for fixed bed adsorption in the case of adsrptive removal of orthophophate by the two adsorbents mentioned above.

      • 鬱陵島 稀貴植物의 分布 및 生態에 關한 硏究

        Ulreung island harbors more diverse and rare native plants than any other area of Korea due to its geographic and climatic peculiarity. Many of the native plants have been used as famine crops, medicinal herbs, vegetables, and ornamentals. Some of them are important sources of income for residents on the island nowadays. This survey was conducted to select the promising native plants for use as vegetable or ornamentals, and to help residents economy by studying the methods for preservation and propagation of the valuable native plants. 1. Current native vegetation on Ulreung island consists of pure coniferous forests, 550 ha(10%), pure broad-leaved forests, 3,518ha(64%), and mixed forests, 636ha(12%). 2. Among the wild native plants, Lilium hansonil, Allium victorials var. platypliyllum, Arumcus diolicus var. kamtschaticus, Solidago virgaurea var. gigantea, Pteridium aqu-ilinum var. latiusculium, Osmunda japonica, Reynoutria sachalinensis, Aralia continentalis are used as vegetable and their edible parts are either young stems, sprouts or bulbs. While Gynostemma pentaphyllum is exported as a material for tea. 3. Those plants that were considered worthwhile to improve and propagate as ornamentals were Calanthe striata, Cymbidium goeringii, Hepatica maxima, Adiantum pedatum, Sorbus commixta, Thymus quinguecostatus etc. Those that appeared promising for garden tree or terrarium were Taxus cuspidata var. latifolia Nak, Tsuga sieboldii, Pinus parviflora, Tilia insularis, and Sorbus commixta etc. 4. As an ecological characteristic, Allium victorialis var. platypliyllum was distributed as a community on the slopes of mountains or uneven areas. They were thriving especially on humus rich area under tall or medium trees. 5. Natural habitats of Aruncus diolicus var. kamtschaticus and Solidago virgaurea var. gigantea etc. were found under the trees with dominance and sociability range of 5.5 to +. Therefore, more or less shading would be necessary for production of high quality crops. 6. Pteridium aquilimum var. latiusculium was distributed around the fields or paddy fields at the foot of mountains and on vestiges of slash-and-burn fields. Osmunda japonica was thriving on slightly humid low slopes and under the trees with high dominance. 7. Calanthe strialata, Cymbidium goeringii, Hepatica maxima, Adiantum pedatum, and Asplenium scolopendrium have either beautiful flower or leaves. They were distributed in dense forests of tall trees. Adiantum pedatum was found between rocks, Asplenium scolopendrium and Reynoutria sachalinensis, along the valley line, Ardisia japonica under Tsaga sieboldii, Pinus parviflora and Fagus crenata var. multinervis communities on Taewharyung and Thymus quinguecostacus, on a sunny area of Nan-Dong in large communities. 8. Propagation of the native plants would be possible as follows: Aruncus diolicus var. kamtschaticus, Allium victorialis var. platypliyllum, Thymus quinguecostatus and Soli-dago virgaurea var. gigantea by either division or seed, Hepatica maxima, Pinus parviflora, Tsuga sieboldii and Sorbus commixta by seed, those ferns such as Osmunda japonica, Adiantum pedatum and Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculium by germinating spores aseptically in laboratory or in the greenhouse, Lilium hansonii by bulbscale cutting or by bulbscale tissue culture, Ardisia japonica and Taxus cuspidata var. latifolia by either seed or cutting and Thymus quinquecostatus by cutting. 9. Humus content of native soil was ranging from 19.1% to 91.2% and pH, from 4.7 to 5.3.

        유압 재생 브레이크 시스템의 축압기 용량 설계

        An accumulator in hydraulic systems stores kinetic energy during braking action, and then that controls hasty surge pressure. An energy recovery system using accumulator seems to be advantageous or ERBS due to ist high energy density. This study suggests a method to decide suitable accumulator volume for ERBS. The method is based upon energy conservation between kinetic energy of moving inertia and elastic energy of accumulator. The energy conversion was analyzed and a simple formula was derived. A series of computer simulation was done to verify effectiveness of the formula. The results of the simulation work were compared with those of experiments and these results show that the proposed design is effective for decision of accumulator volume in ERBS.

        정보검색은 사용자가 필요로 하는 문서를 문서집합으로부터 가장 적합한 문서를 검색할 수 있어야 한다. 질의어가 문서에 대하여 어느 정도의 유사성을 가지고 존재하느냐를 기준으로 문서가 적합한 문서인지를 순서화 하다 보면 질의어와 비적합한 문서들이 순서화 된 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 전역적인 문서 공간은 탐색하여 사용자의 요구에 가장 적합한 문서를 검색하고, 다양한 모델의 문제를 해결하기 위해서 지식 베이스 연산자를 사용하였다.

        Original Articles : Clinical significance of occult hepatitis B virus infection in chronic hepatitis C patients

        Background/Aims: We investigated the frequency of occult hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV)-positive individuals and the effects of occult HBV infection on the severity of liver disease. Methods: Seventy-one hepatitis B virus surface-antigen (HBsAg)-negative patients were divided according to their HBV serological status into groups A (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs negative; n=18), B (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs positive; n=34), and C (anti-HBc negative, anti-HBs positive/negative; n=19), and by anti-HCV positivity (anti-HCV positive; n=32 vs. anti-HCV negative; n=39). Liver biopsy samples were taken, and HBV DNA was quantified by real-time PCR. Results: Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 32.4% (23/71) of the entire cohort, and HBV DNA levels were invariably low in the different groups. Occult HBV infection was detected more frequently in the anti-HBc-positive patients. Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 28.1% (9/32) of the anti-HCV-positive and 35.9% (14/39) of the anti-HCV-negative subjects. The HCV genotype did not affect the detection rate of intrahepatic HBV DNA. In anti-HCV-positive cases, occult HBV infection did not affect liver disease severity. Conclusions: Low levels of intrahepatic HBV DNA were detected frequently in both HBsAg-negative and anti-HCV-positive cases. However, the frequency of occult HBV infection was not affected by the presence of hepatitis C, and occult HBV infection did not have a significant effect on the disease severity of hepatitis C.
