감마선 조사가 조미오징어의 저장 중 품질특성에 미치는 영향

        노정은,김병근,김현구,권중호 한국식생활문화학회 2004 韓國食生活文化學會誌 Vol.19 No.5

This study was conducted to investigate the changes in the quality of gamma-irradiated seasoned cuttle during storage. Seasoned cuttle packed in PVC film (0.06 mm) was stored at 15±1℃ for 6 months after treatment with doses of 0 to 7 kGy. Microbial populations of seasoned cuttle were 1.6×10^5 CFU/g in total aerobic bacteria, 10⁴~10^5 CFU/g in yeasts & molds, and negative in coliforms, which were effectively reduced by 3 kGy or higher up to the undetectable level(〈20 CFU/g). The pH and moisture content of the samples were not changed with irradiation, but moisture was some decreased during storage. The instrumental color (especially Hunter b value), pigments (lipophilic & hydrophilic) and TBA value of the samples increased with storage time as well as irradiation dose more than 3 kGy. The influence of storage condition, however, were more significant. Irradiation did not induce any changes in volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) and trimethylamine (TMA) contents, thereby maintaining their contents lower than those of the non-irradiated samples during storage by reducing the microbial load.

      • 쌍태아에서 제 1태아의 분만 후 제 2태아의 지연분만 : 중례보고

김주환,서민정,유희정,노권일,조대현,박정규,이정헌,조성남,손영수 朝鮮大學校 附設 醫學硏究所 2005 The Medical Journal of Chosun University Vol.30 No.3

With the widespread use of fertility medications and techniques of in vitro fertilization, multiple gestation has become epidemic in modern obstetric practice. Delivery of the initial fetus in a multiple gestation usually is followed by delivery of the subsequent fetus or fetuses shortly thereafter. However in rare circumstances, the delivery is delayed for days due to disappearance of uterine contraction after delivery of the first fetus. When uterine activity ceases after the delivery of the first neonate, a policy of nonintervention may be considered in case of an immature or very premature delivery, in order to achieve a gestational age for the remaining fetus(es) more compatible with neonatal survival. We report a case of twin gestation with prolongation of the delivery interval between the twins for 46 days.

Separation Characteristic of Shatter Resistant Sesame After Threshing

        ( Hyun Kwon Noh ) 한국농업기계학회 2014 바이오시스템공학 Vol.39 No.4

Purpose: This study set out to develop a machine for separating shatter-resistant sesame after threshing. Methods: Three grades of sieve and different blower speeds were tested for a separation system that had been designed specifically for shatter-resistant sesame. Performance tests were run to evaluate the sieve and blower systems in terms of the sesame separation and loss ratios. Results: Tests of the first separation stage using the sieve system revealed the optimum sieve perforation size to be 5 mm. Tests of the second separation stage using the blower system identified the optimum blower speed as being 220 rpm. The optimum separation and loss ratios, of 96.5% and 3.5%, respectively, were obtained at a blower speed of 220 rpm. Conclusions: These results will be useful for the design, construction, and operation of threshing harvesters. For shatter-resistant sesame, an optimum blower speed of 220 rpm was identified.

RESEARCH : Open Access ; Effects of citrus pulp, fish by-product and Bacillus subtilis fermentation biomass on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and fecal microflora of weanling pigs

( Hyun Suk Noh ),( Santosh Laxman Ingale ),( Su Hyup Lee ),( Kwang Hyun Kim ),( Ill Kyong Kwon ),( Young Hwa Kim ),( Byung Jo Chae ) 한국동물자원과학회(구 한국축산학회) 2014 한국축산학회지 Vol.56 No.10

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with citrus pulp, fish by-product, and Bacillus subtilis fermentation biomass on the growth performance, apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of nutrients, and fecal microflora of weanling pigs. A total of 180 weaned piglets (Landrace × Yorkshire × Duroc) were randomly allotted to three treatments on the basis of body weight (BW). There were six replicate pens in each treatment with 10 piglets per pen. Dietary treatments were corn-soybean meal-based basal diet supplemented with 0 (control), 2.5, and 5.0% citrus pulp, fish by-product, and B. subtilis fermentation biomass. The isocaloric and isoproteineous experimental diets were fed in mash form in two phases (d 0 ~ 14, phase I and d 15 ~ 28, phase II). Dietary treatments had significant linear effects on gain to feed ratio (G:F) in all periods, whereas significant linear effects on ATTD of dry matter (DM), gross energy (GE), and ash were only observed in phase I. Piglets fed diet supplemented with 5.0% citrus pulp, fish by-product, and B. subtilis fermentation biomass showed greater (p < 0.05) G:F (phase I, phase II, and overall) as well as ATTD of DM, GE, and ash (phase I) than pigs fed control diet. Dietary treatments also had significant linear effects on total anaerobic bacteria populations by d 14 and 28. In addition, piglets fed diet supplemented with 5.0% citrus pulp, fish by-product and B. subtilis fermentation biomass showed greater (p < 0.05) fecal total anaerobic bacteria populations (d 14 and 28) than pigs fed control diet. Dietary treatments had no significant effects (linear or quadratic) on average daily gain (ADG), average dial feed intake (ADFI; phase I, phase II, and overall), or fecal populations ofBifidobacterium spp., Clostridium spp., and coliforms (d 14 and 28). These results indicate that dietary supplementation with 5.0% citrus pulp, fish by-product, and B. subtilis fermentation biomass has the potential to improve the feed efficiency, nutrient digestibility, and fecal microflora of weanling pigs.

Development of a Nitrogen Application System for Nitrogen Deficiency in Corn

        ( Hyun Kwon Noh ) 한국농업기계학회 2017 바이오시스템공학 Vol.42 No.2

Purpose: Precision agriculture includes determining the right amount of nitrogen for a specific location in the field. This work focused on developing and validating a model using variable rate nitrogen application based on the estimated SPAD value from the ground-based image sensor. Methods: A variable rate N application based on the decision making system was performed using a sensor-based variable rate nitrogen application system. To validate the nitrogen application decision making system based on the SPAD values, the developed N recommendation was compared with another conventional N recommendation. Results: Sensor-based variable rate nitrogen application was performed. The nitrogen deficiency level was measured using the image sensor system. Then, a variable rate application was run using the decision model and real-time control. Conclusions: These results would be useful for nitrogen management of corn in the field. The developed nitrogen application decision making system worked well, when considering the SPAD value estimation.

Preoperative [^(18)F]FDG PET/CT predicts recurrence in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer

        Hyun Hoon Chung,Hyun Woo Kwon,Keon Wook Kang,Jae Weon Kim,Noh-Hyun Park,Yong-Sang Song,Soon-Beom Kang 대한부인종양학회 2012 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.23 No.1

Objective: To determine whether [^(18)F]FDG uptake on PET/CT imaging before surgical staging has prognostic significance in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Methods: Patients with EOC were imaged with integrated PET/CT before surgical staging. Hypermetabolic lesions were measured as the standardized uptake value (SUV) in primary and metastatic tumors. SUV distribution was divided into two regions at the level of umbilicus, and the impact of the ratio between above and below umbilicus (SUV_location ratio) on progression-free survival (PFS) was examined using Cox proportional hazards regression. Results: Between January 2004 and December 2009, 55 patients with EOC underwent preoperative PET/CT. The median duration of PFS was 11 months (range, 3 to 43 months), and twenty (36.4%) patients experienced recurrence. In univariate analysis, high SUV_location ratio (p=0.002; hazard ratio [HR], 1.974; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.286 to 3.031) was significantly associated with recurrence. Malignant mixed mullerian tumor compared with endometrioid histology was also shown to have significance. In multivariate analysis, high SUVlocation ratio (p=0.005; HR, 2.418; 95% CI, 1.1315 to 4.447) and histology (serous, mucinous, and malignant mixed mullerian tumor compared with endometrioid type) were significantly associated with recurrence. Patients were categorized into two groups according to SUVlocation ratio (<0.3934 vs. ≥0.3934), and the Kaplan-Meier survival graph showed a significant difference in PFS between the groups (p=0.0021; HR, 9.47, log-rank test). Conclusion: SUV distribution showed a significant association with recurrence in patients with EOC, and may be a useful predictor of recurrence.
