        Background : The cun measurement System, an essential and convenient method in locating acupoints, has been widely used in the practice of acupuncture. However, traditional cun measurement has been criticized for its lack of reliability. Objectives : The purposes of this study are to determine if one cun measured by the directional methods have a consistency with that of proportional methods and to investigate which factors are related with these differences, especially in forearm. Methods : The distance between the elbow crease and the wrist crease of forearm was compared to a reference value of one cun obtained by the directional method. In this method, one cun is one third of the distance between index finger and Small finger of a subject, measured at proximal interphalangeal joint. In addition, to investigate the factors influencing the differences between these two methods, we measured the height and body weight and calculated body mass index (BMI). Finally we analyzed the factors correlated with these lengths by linear regression test. Results : The results showed that one cun obtained by the directional methods were significantly different from one cun by the proportional methods in forearm. It was demonstrated that the length acquired with the directional method was more correlated with body weight and body mass index, while the length obtained by the proportional method was more correlated with the height.

        설악산국립공원 멸종위기 산양(Naemorhedus caudatus) 개체군 크기와 서식지 이용 현황

        본 연구에서는 설악산국립공원에 서식하는 멸종위기종 산양과 서식지의 보전 및 관리를 위해 산양의 분변 및 카메라 트랩을 이용한 개체수와 서식지 이용 분석을 2010~2014년 동안 수행하였으며 생태학적 조사 방법(흔적조사, 카메라트 랩조사)을 사용하였다. 분변 조사와 카메라트랩핑 분석 결과 각각 166개체 및 251개체의 산양이 설악산국립공원에 서식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 흔적조사(분변)를 통한 서식지 이용 특성 분석에서 산양은 경사도 35°~60°, 고도 600~700m, 향 북동, 수계와의 거리 0~50m, 도로와의 거리 300~600m, 활엽수림을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 카메라트랩 조사를 통한 산양 개체군 구성, 주간(07-18시)이 56.5%, 야간(18-07시)이 43.5%로 산양의 활동성을 파악하였다. 이러한 산양의 개체수와 서식지 이용 특성 분석은 향후 그들이 살아가는 서식지의 보전과 서식지의 관리를 위한 중요한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. This study was conducted investigate population size and habitat use for the conservation and management of the endangered long-tailed goral in the Seoraksan National Park using feces and camera trap during 2010 to 2014 (track survey, camera trap). As a result of feces tracking and camera trap, its population size was estimated as 160 (camera trap)~251 (feces) individuals in the Seoraksan National Park. The goral prefer 35°~60° (slope), 600~700m (elevation), NE (aspect), 0~50m (distance to stream), 300~600m (distance to road) and bread-leaved forest (forest type) according to field tracking of fecal. Based on field camera trap, we estimated the age classes of goral populations and activity of gorals during day-time (07-18 time, 56.5%) and night-time (18-07 time, 43.5%). Such analyses of population size and habitat use of the goral could be applied as important fundamental data for conservation of gorals and management of their habitats.

      • 결핵성 육아종에서 Thioredoxin peroxidase-2 의 발현

        Background: Thioredoxin peroxidase(TPX) is a kind of recently discovered antioxidant enzyme which react as rapid hydrogen ion donor for the removal of hydroperoxide. The action and distribution of the TPX was poorly understood in the human diseases. This experiments were designed for the study about the distribution of the TPX in the chronic granulomatous inflammation and about the correlation between the expression of TPX and the site of inflammation, histological activities of tuberculous inflammation or existence of mycobacterium in the inflammatory foci. Methods: The immunohistochemical stains were performed for the localization of the TPX-2 in the epithelioid cells, giant cells and lymphocytes in the chronic granulomatous inflammation. The tissue sections were obtained from the paraffin blocks of the 54 cases of tuberculosis (lung 21 cases, lymph node 12 cases, bone and soft tissue 12 cases, kidney 9 cases; active 33 cases, inactive 21 cases by the histologic classification; presence of mycobacterium 15 cases, no mycobacterium 39 cases by PCR reaction). Results: The expression of TPX-2 was 16.7% in the giant cells, 27.8% in the epithelioid cells and 100% in the lymphocytes of tuberculous inflammations. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells of the tuberculosis were 28.6% and 57.1% of the pulmonary tuberculosis; 33.3% in each cells of the renal tuberculosis; 0% in each cells of the lymph node or bone and soft tissue tuberculosis. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells were 9.1% in each cells of the active tuberculosis and were 28.6% and 57.1% in each cells of the inactive tuberculosis by histologic classification. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells was 40% in each cells of tuberculosis which mycobacteria were detected and the expression of TPX-2 was 7.7% and 23.1% in each cells which mycobacteria were not detected by PCR reaction in the paraffin embedded tissue. Conclusions: The above results were summarized that the TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells were more frequently expressed in the inactive tuberculosis than in the active tuberculosis. These results suggest that the TPX-2 is a kind of regulating or suppressing factors in the activity of the tuberculosis.

      • 고령자 달리기 동작의 역학적 분석

        <Abstract> The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic variable of running motion of aged man in order to the suggestion of important information on a mechanism related to the decrease of physical performance in aged men. The subjects were consisted of 60 -aged men, and the motion of jogging and sprinting were measured using a high speed movie camera. The stride frequency of sprinting (2.81∼2.92) steps/s) showed a higher values (16%) than jogging, and the stride length of sprinting(1.25∼1.33m) showed a higher values(32.5%) than jogging, and the velocity of sprinting (4.24∼4.33m) showed a higher values(54.13%) than jogging. The differences of segment of angle and angle of ankle joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼5°, respectively. There were showed th over-up of toe at foot strike and the hypo-extension of ankle joint at toe-off during the motion of foot. The differences of segment of angle and angle of knee joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼5°, respectively. There were showed the hypo-extension on foot strike and the hypo-extension on toe-off during the motion of knee joint. The differences of segment of angle and angle of hip joint between jogging and sprinting showed 1°∼9°, respectively. There were showed the poor-up of knee at foot strike and the hypo-extension of hip joint at toe-off.

      • Cryptosporidium baileyi감염 병아리에 있어서 Fabricius-낭의 조직병리학적 변화

        Two-day old male chickens(DEKALB-Warren, Sex-Sal-Link) were inoculated orally with 2×10^6 oocysts of Cryptosporidium bailyei. Age-matched birds served as controls. A small number of oocysts were first recognized in the feces of chicks on day 3 post inoculation(PI). The OPD for the chickens increased with the lapse of days, reached a peak on day 9 PI, decreased rapidly thereafter, and became negative on days 33 PI. The protozoa had a prepatent period of 2 day and patent period of 3-32 days. On day 10 PI, infections were very heavy, in fact, there was a vitural monolayer of parasites in the microvillus region of the bursa of Fabricius(BF). Histopathological lesions in BF were characterized by severe eosinophilic infiltrates under the epithelium, loss of FAE and epithelium. The eosinophilic infiltrantes were detected in the follicles on day 15 PI. On days 27 PI, follicles were degenerated and necrosised. Mast cells were recognized in the epithelium on day 10 PI, reached a peak on day 43 PI and then rapidly decreased. Location of mast cell was matched with the region of parasited epithelium. Although the cryprosporidia was not detected in the epithelium of BF on day 59 PI, the mucosal change persisted accompanied by hyperplasia and metaplasia. The follicles were normally recovered or partially necrosised on day 59 PI.

      • 닭에서 오존수의 급여가 닭와포자충 감염에 미치는 영향

        Ozone is very effective in acute and chronic viral disease as a virucidal agent and in improving the general health of the animals. The effects of ozonized water supply against Cryptosporidium baileyi was studied in 2-day-old chicken. After oral inoculation of chicken with 1×10^6 oocysts, ozonized water(0.5ppm) and tap water were supplied to experimental and control group, respectively. The prepatent period of both group was 6 days postinoculation(PI). The patent period of experimental group was shorter(6-18 days) than that of control group(6-22 days). The number of oocysts in the feces were maximum on days 11 PI, indicating 1.99×10^6 oocysts/experimental chicken and 6.00×10^6 oocysts/control chicken. The number of discharged oocysts during experimental period was higher in control group than that of experimental group. In the view of febric bursa sections on 7 days PI, the number of endogenous development of C baileyi was smaller in experimental group that in control group. This results indicate that the autoinfected sporozoite were damaged by ozone. The ozonized water supply to chickens is alleviation cryptosporidiosis.

The average heart rate in a room of negative ion air (98701230 이온/) is lower by 4.4 throbs per minutes than that in a room of no negative ion air.

      • 병아리에서 닭와포자충에 의한 F-낭염이 SRBC에 대한 항체형성에 미치는 영향

        병아리에 닭와포자충(Cryptosporidium baileyi)의 감염에 의한 F-낭염이 면양 적혈구(SRBS)에 대한 항체 형성에 미치는 영향을 관찰하기 위하여 2일령의 병아리에 닭와포자충의 오오시스트 1 × 10^6개를 경구 접종하였다. SRBC를 경정맥 및 F-낭의 관강에 감작하고 항체형성능과 F-낭의 조직소견을 1 주일 간격으로 10주간 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 체중의 증가율은 실험 전 기간을 통하여 전반적으로 실험군이 대조군 보다 낮았다. 2. F-낭 지수(Bursa index)는 1주령 부터 5주령 까지는 1이하로 위축되었으며, 6주령 부터 1이상으로 종창되었다. 특히, 6주령의 경우 1.94로 종창의 정도가 가장 심하였다. 3. 상피세포에서 발육하고 있는 닭와포자충의 오오시스트 및 점막하직과 여포내의 호산구의 침윤은 1주령에서 4주령 까지 관찰되었으며 1주령에 가장 많은 오오시스트가 상피에서 관찰되었다. 4. 상피세포 및 FAE의 핵융해, 비만세포의 출현, 여포의 괴사 및 상피의 증생은 5주령 이후에 관찰되었다. 상피세포의 핵융해는 6주령에 가장 심하였다. 5. HA titer는 정맥내로 항원을 감작한 군에서 7주령에 최고의 역가를 보였으며 대조군이 64±35, 실험군이 44.8±15.7이였다. F-낭의 관강내로 항원을 감작한 군에서는 8주령에 대조군이 11.2±3.9, 실험군이 2.8±1.0로 실험군의 역가가 모두 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 닭와포자충의 감염에 의한 F-낭염(bursitis)은 SRBC에 대한 항체형성능을 저해The 함을 알 수 있다.

        As recently the need for electronic commerce and infra information system using Internet increases, several organizations have attempted to develop mutual authentication mechanism between Certification Authorities(CA's) as well as fundamental authentication mechanism, based on Public-key. In this paper, we propose a new efficient authentication protocol which is applicable to various servers. For the protocol, we complement Public-key certificate structure and authentication protocol defined in X.509 with self-arithmetic function and data security function of 1C card.

      • 마우스에서 오존수의 급여가 쥐와포자충 감염에 미치는 영향

        Ozone is very effective in acute and chronic viral disease as a virucidal agent in reversing positive antibody tests and in improving the general health of the animals. The effects of ozonized water supply against Cryptosporidium muris was studied in 5-weeks-old mice. After oral inoculation of mice with 1×10^6 oocysts, ozonized water(0.5ppm) and tap water were supplied to experimental and control group, respectively. The prepatent period of both group was 8 days postinoculation(PI). The patent period of experimental group was longer(62days) than that of experimental group(57days). The number of oocysts in the feces were maxium on days 28 PI, indicating 3.54×10^6 oocysts/experimental mouse and 5.56×10^6 oocysts/ control mouse. The number of discharge oocysts during 12-33 PI was more in control group than that of experimental group. In the view of gastric gland section on days 28 PI, the number of endogenous development of C muris was smaller in experimental group than in control group. This results indicates that the autoinfected sporozoite were damaged by ozone.
